Actually shopped pre-BF!! Went to Target and got The White DSi, Mariokart for DS, The Little People Nativity, Dragonoid Collosus, Bakutriad, Lego Star Wars Plo-Koon set, Coponk, a Hero Factory Figure and Disney's A Christmas Carol w/ Jim Carrey. Saved $95.00 total after coupons and price adjusting!! I also got a $5.00 GC for spending $50.00 on toys!! Went to KMart and picked up a Crayola Crayon factory, Othello and The Toy Story Lego Train. Saved $25.00 because the items were on sale on their website and the manager gave it to us! Then went to TRU and got Beyblade's,(on sale) Beyblade arena,(on sale) Nerf Hoop Set,(on sale) a Travel Easel, (on sale) a Dolphin Pillowpet and other stuff that I can't remember right now! I know we spent over $200.00 total, but also saved $40.00 and used two spend $75.00/get $10.00 GC! So I saved $160.00, got $25.00 in GC's and got 1/3 of my shopping done for me 4 kids!! I think we did pretty good!!

That's weird!! Usually, any type of GC deal, they tell you at the register that the card's aren't usable because they're not activated in the system for 4-6 hours!!

I can't cook, but my wife is always asked to either make her salsa, veggie chili, sweet potatoes, or crustless apple pie!!

My DW got this text from a friend: Hey K- Went to TRU in Deptford! Got in line at 6pm and was escorted to the end by police! Lines were real long! Doors opened at 9pm and managers gave out tickets, we didn't get any! 10pm doors opened! We got in around 11:15pm and finally checked out at 1:45! This is the last time I'm going to TRU!

Cops were called to control the crowd that was estimated to be in the range of 1,500 to 2,000 people!! TRU did a ticket plan earlier for their big ticket items, one per person and they're letting people in 10-20 at a time to control interior crowds!

Went shopping two days ago and got 1/3 of my kids lists done! I'm not heading out BF again this year, due to the fact that Target had an awesome sale!!!

We actually did this, this past weekend, but split it up into 3 orders! We had 4 of the $10.gc/spend $75. Used 3 of them and passed along the last to a person behind us in line, since we weren't going to use it by the 24th!!

Hey folks!! I thought I had posted this via my IPhone, but I can't find the thread, so if this is a dup, please delete this one. My SIL and my DW introduced me to a Free IPhone App, that price scans items and gives you the prices from numerous on-line stores!! For example, while shopping last night, we had the Lego Toy Story Train. My DW scanned the barcode, and in seconds, we saw that both KMart and Walmart had it for $60.00! We went to KMart to see if thy would honor the on-line store price and they did! We also got a Crayola Crayon Maker and an Othello game cheaper. Total, we saved over $25.00 on the 3 items!!! Just remember, these prices are for on-line stores, the regular stores don't have to honor them. This app is Free on The IPhone, I don't know if it's available for Blackberry or Windows, and that there's free Site to Store shipping at Walmart til 12/20! (I believe) Happy shopping Scanner420

Alright!! We went shopping yesterday and today! Yesterday, we picked up the White DSi & Nativity Set. Got those, as well as clothes my DW bought for the kids earlier in the week price adjusted for a total of $65.00! Went shopping today and got Dragonoid Colossus and a price-cut Bakutriad with a 25% coupon, The Lego Plo-Koon Fighter on sale with a $5.00 off coupon, a Hero Factory figure on sale, 2-18pk Kureig pods on sale! Total savings were $28.00!! NTM We got the $5.00 Target GC for spending $50.00 on toys!!

Unfortunately.........nock down drag outs happen every year over stuff!!! It's just stupid!!!!! I'm sorry....but NO one needs an item so bad, to warrant bodily harm on another!!!! JMO!!

For the past 3 years, the TRU around me had ppl in line for 2days!

I'm still waiting for the WM ad to come out. I don't think it'll blow me away, but it's gotta be better that what the other retailers are showing now. Half the stuff on my kids lists are on sale now and they're better than the BF ads!

Last year was real stressful for us. I missed work for half the year because I went into a Hypertensive Crisis, that turned into a Hypotensive Crisis a month later! Just in my immediate family, I had 4 kids to buy for, along with my DW's holiday and Birthday!! We just stretched out our budget a bit, clipped coupons and cut costs by not eating out and brown bagging stuff to work! I also changed my W-4 status from Single 2 to Married 6 to get less taxes taken out. I worked...we were done shopping a week before the Holiday and had everything wrapped by X-Mas Eve!
