Got to tell ya that if I had to cut out the upc and it was someone who would not be worried about it, I would leave it that way. If it was someone who would worry, I would take it out of the original package and pack it up "pretty" and give it to them that way.

I am not sure this post makes sense...maybe it is just me. You state that you dont want to camp out for a low class machine such as an E-machines, but then you state you would be willing to pick up a walmart dell that would be on blitz. I cant see how this would not fall into that some low class machine:confused: Almost assuredly the dell that walmart (and sadly way to many dells at walmart and others for that matter, but not all) would qualify as a low class machine if they were to offer it on blitz.

Consumer reports just did a comparo that included the vizio's as well, basically not top of line, but not complete junk either, kind of a you get a little bit more than what you expect for supercheap was how I read it.

I totally agree, I am sticking to XP as long as I can unless some major changes come, and I am not talking this wimpy Vista SP1 release, I want to see something more major. I think it was zdnet/cnet that recently ran quite a few programs thought the paces and found that XP is still quicker across the board with the same setups. Yes, you do get more bells and some whistles (aero), but really could care less about 95% of them.

With the exception of one $10 MIR from best buy about 2 years back, I must say that I am 100%...so all told, that is probably like 34 for 35 in the past 5 years.

I had a few people ask me about how this system was holding up since they know I am tough on systems and work them hard. All I can say is that this computer has exceded my expectations, and hp just released a m8200n....cant wait until I see what they do with the quad core AMD chips. For now though, just gonna enjoy this one. About every 3rd week OD has been having this same deal if anyone is still in the market for a desktop and does not want to wait/fight the lines durring BF. As a side gift, my family always gets the children summer sausage and hickory farms sweet and sour sauce. Then we all cut it up and microwave it and it is a delicious treat. It is not our main gift, but it is a nice treat we all look forward to each year. My worst is an R&B cd a friend got me...I like about everything but Rap, R&B, and Opera.
