Finally, a deal worth posting. I was at the Vogel Rd Target in MO and found a Barbie golf club set for $9.97. I'm excited, this is the same set I tried to buy after Christmas only to have the mgr refuse to sell it for the clearance price because the system didn't show it. DGD, age 8, was with me and said "Now I can show Dad how to play golf!"

Missouri isn't having this sale. Bummer, I miss the days when they let you fill a box for $15. Those were gottadeal days.

Finally a deal today at the Chesterfield MO store. They had Hotwheel carrying cases with two collectors cars on a endcap marked 75 off. The price tag read 30 off, there was a guy with a scanner there and I asked him about the price. He ckd is and it was 30 off, but, he said since there were atleast 15 on the endcap I could have it for 75 off. When I went to the register and told the cashier she rang them up, I paid, checked my receipt when I got home and she gave them to me for 90 off! Reg 10.99 pd 1.09. Who hoo! Along with the 12 hotwheels I got on Amazon for $5 this will make a great bday gift for my little cousin's bday.

After driving an hour and ten minutes in the sleet and freezing rain I needed some retail therapy so I stopped at the Vogel store. I was so excited to find the Disney puzzles for $7.48, they didn't have any when I was there earlier in the week. Also, found football party supplies, a foam brick, a platter both for .98 and a inflatable referee for $1.98. In Vday section found the Dove rose, a heart shape tin 17 oz Hershey kisses .49 and a couple boxes heart shape truffles for .98, these will be great for my niece's bridal shower. The store was empty of shoppers. Not a bad cost for a little stress relieve. :)

I stopped by the LemayFerry store in StL and it is closing. The clerk told me there were a few in our area staying open but they are at least 40 miles from me. Found a couple deals a womens suit, wool houndstooth jacket & dress reg $49 clearance $15, a cute little baby sleeper reg $9.99 clearance $5, black leather slides reg $29.99 clearance $15. The store had alot of empty space. You could thell they had moved alot to another location. The women working there said it is day to day for them. They don't know when they are closing.

Wow! Those poor people that will be without jobs. I haven't heard anything about our remaining store. In the last couple years they have closed all but one store in the StL area. I do know the selections have not been what they used to be. Not many name brand items and their prices aren't any cheaper than a good sale at one of the local dept stores.
