It is right down the road from me too. I don't know if it was a blessing or curse that it opened. My DM said going to Target is an addiction for my DD and I. Even my DGD drew Target in her favorite thing book at school. lol We are probably cruising the end caps at the same time.

Still 50% at Gravois Bluffs, MO. They were unloading flatbed carts when I was there. The gal unloading it said she heard 75% on the 2nd. She said they have so much left they want to sell as much as they can before lowering the prices.

I would use the gifts cards to buy gifts for all three. No need to hurt anyones feelings. Then have each kid write a thankyou to him for the gift. You could take a picture of the 3 of them and place it in the envelope with the notes.

How about a display box for his watches? Linens & Things or Bed Bath had them. Nice wooden boxes with glass tops. Cuff links are a great gift and stylish these days as well.

Does she have old movies you could transfer to dvd? My cousin did this for her Dad and he loved it. She found a local company that specialized in just this and it didn't cost much at all. Does she like animals? My DM & DSD started bird watching this year (in their backyard). I bought them a great dvd called Winged Migration (2001) Starring: Philippe Labro, Jacques Perrin Director: Jacques Perrin Rating Amazon has it for $9.99 and it is an amazing video. Even for non-bird watchers. They also have the Planet Earth series which is exceptional. Maybe you could do a basket with the dvds, some popcorn, candy and her favorite drink.

Please don't be sad because it will only be you DH & kids. Start some new traditions just for your family. Read the Night Before Christmas, hang stockings, make cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve. Christmas day have a big breakfast together the snack food for later in the day is a great idea. Less work on your part so you can spend more time enjoying the important people in your life. Take a walk together, play in the snow (if you have some), the kids will get to play with their new toys and you enjoy watching them cuddled up with DH. You are blessed in so many ways, just remember the good things and try not to let the sad get you down. I called our local nursing home today and the lady told me that have been very blessed and 3 local organizations volunteered in September to buy for the people without families and one is buying something forever resident. She said there are so many people that don't have anyone she is glad at Christmas they will all feeled loved.

This is a great idea. When we were kids our Church youth group would sing at the local nursing home once a month. Then at Christmas we would take warpped new socks for the men and women. All these years later I can remember how grateful they were we sang and the smiles a simple pair of socks brought to their faces. I have already donated to our local Ronald McDonald house for the holidays but I think I will call the local nursing home as well. Thank you for bringing back the good memories of visiting the elderly. I hope everyone will take a little time and do the same.

I was at the Vogel Rd Arnold MO store last night and they had the ipod shuffle pkg on clearance for $67. It was packaged for the October breast cancer awareness, included a itunes gift card. Hope this helps someone. It was on the clearance end cap in Electronics.

My DD and now DGD have always made list. I have always told them you make a list for others to get ideas but it doesn't mean you will get everything on the list. This has been for Christmas & bdays. I teach them to be grateful for whatever they get because people don't owe you a gift a gift is just that a gift from the heart. They have never been disappointed.

We always placed DD ltrs to Santa under the door mat on the front porch so the elves could pick them up when the stars came out. This way I could read the letter without her knowing. When she was too little to write her own letter I gave her the Sunday sales ads and she could cut out the pictures for the letter. I saved the letters and gave them to her when she was 21. Every year "Santa" knew just what to bring. Now for my DGD (age 8) when we are out shopping I carry a small notebook in my purse and when she sees something she really, really wants we will write it down so she will remember. This has worked great for her birthday and Christmas two years now.

I was just about to call it a day and saw a BestBuy dvd deal posted. I was able to get my DN Rescue Me 3rd season for $19 delivered to the store. Reg price $50. I took a vacation day today and do hate to go to bed because tomorrow is a work day and there will be no deals for me.

The original post was gone when I started this one. I searched several different ways and couldn't locate it. It wasn't started to cause any problems I just wanted to let everyone know what had happen. When I called Amazon I told the rep their actions were like a B&M accepting payment then stopping me at the door as I was leaving to say they changed the price. Maybe that is why he gave me a credit. He really didn't have anything to say when I used this comparison. I wish they would have honored my order. I really wanted the tea at that price.

My DGD just said last night she would like to hear some kid Christmas music. She will love this. How great too that the new Chipmunk movie is coming out soon. Thanks!

If anyone has High School Musical fans Avon.com has lotion, lip balm, emery boards and more for under $2. These would make great stocking stuffers. For those without fans they had lots more in the $2 - $5 range for all ages.
