If he fixes up the breakroom can he write off the expenses? If so, I would do that and then something personal for each. I think most employees would think the company pays for hte breakroom needs. The stocking with a gas card & candy is nice. Gas here is high and we all drive about 25 miles to work. I have always done something personal for the staff (out of my pocket) and our GM gives gift cards (of course he can expense whatever he spends).

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread but I searched for yesterday's post and dispite looking for it last night and this morning couldn't locate the original post. The post had a link for Snapple Tea in a offer for 120 bags for $4.99 after using a $10 Snapple coupon that automatically appeared on the site. I ordered 2 cases, the coupon flooded the field, checked out and pd for my order. Then later in the day rcvd an email from Amazon saying it had been cancelled because of a pricing error on their part. I used the "call me" feature on Amazon's site and talked to a rep. Because of their error they refunded the shipping cost of the remaining portion of my order and gave me a $25 credit for my next order. The credit was based on the original cost/difference of the tea. I wanted to let others know incase the same thing happen to them. Mod, if this is not the correct place to post this please pm me so I will know what to do next time.

Maybe you should give him gc for 2 and he could take a friend along. I hate to go to the show by myself and have no one to discuss the movie with afterwards.

How do you handle family fueds during the Holidays?
vsa3janes replied to amyers12345's topic in 2007
Ask your Dad if you can come visit early before the grandparents arrive. Excuse yourself before they arrive. As for the MIL this is a great time to teach your daughter the importance of forgiving. Being so ill DD probably doesn't realize MIL didn't come by. I know it hurts because MIL didn't come to see DD but look for the things you have to be thankful for. A healthy daughter, loving husband and other family. Just treat her as you would a co-worker that you didn't get along with. Polite and indifferent to whatever she may say. You don't want to upset the day for your DD or DH. However, after Thanksgiving and before Christmas I would talk to her and let her know how you and DH felt when she didn't visit or call about your DD health. -

I stopped by the Vogel Rd location in Arnold MO and saw an ipod pink ribbon set on clearance. It was about $78 and included the pink shuffle, some accessories and an itunes card. Too bad I didn't need one it was a great price! Hope this helps someone else. It was on the end cap in electronics. -
Thank you! This is great info my DD was trying to decide which system to buy my 8 yr old DGD. She seems to do better with the stylist than the buttons when playing at the store. I am glad to hear it is durable because she will want to take it along with her. Now, where do you find the best price? Think there will be any deals this week?

I have never done this in the past but this year we are going to Disney the week before Christmas so I am giving my DD and DGD the pajamas & house shoes I bought for gifts. I am also giving my DGD books to read on the plane instead of wrapping them for under the tree.

Before you go to the sale check out sortfloorbooks.com. They have Scholastic books for less than 1/2 price. There is free shipping on $10 or more until Nov 26th. I rcvd my first order today and the books are all new. The only blemish is a pen mark over the upc code. I bought books that were at my granddaughter's school sale last week. We visit the warehouse sale every year but now I will shop this site instead.

I tried to copy and paste the pic from the email they sent but couldn't get it to work. If you use this link the picture is in the middle at the top of the page. http://krispykreme.com/

Like all Krispy Kreme products, it's unique! This magical snow globe ornament comes complete with the Krispy Kreme Hot Light sign surrounded by falling snow. So take the season by storm and share our snow globe ornament with friends and family. And here’s the best part: Our snow globe costs just $1.29 when you purchase a dozen doughnuts beginning November 11 through December 31. There you have it: a great gift, a great price, and a really great doughnut. While supplies last at participating stores.

My SIL and he hubby drink wine and like to take it along with them. Last year I found a great wine tote at Target. It had an insulated place for the bottle, wine glasses, cork screw and a pretty wine stopper. It was under $50 and they loved it. She told me they take it with them all the time. Another thought is a gift card for a winery tour. We have several wineries here in the Mid-west and my SIL & friends go there often. I also saw a leather wine tote on thingfling.com for a reasonable price. It was just a tote without the accessories. Good luck I have several hard people to buy for in my family.

My SIL has a points system through his employer also. They bought all of their Christmas gifts last year and this year a new bedroom suite using the points earned. It is a very nice system you can swap points for gift cards. Wish I had plan like this as well.

There is an 800 number to call and receive a new toy but the circuits have been busy all morning. Here is the link for all the info about the recall and what to do. http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml08/08074.html -
I gave "a few of my favorite things" baskets a couple years ago. I included things I knew each family member enjoyed. There was a blend of food and odds n ins. Coffee, cocoa mix, marshmellows, pokeman cards, old maid card game, etc. Just pick things you know would please each member of the family you give it too. I also made a "buy the fireplace basket" fireplace matches, a throw, a game, graham crackers, marshmellows, choc bars (for s'mores) and a book for each person. Check out bookcloseouts.com for great discount book prices.

Since teachers spend so much out of pocket each year we give a Target gift card and basket filled with school supplies, markers, crayons, pencils, stickers, etc. These we buy at Target when they go 50-75% off. This way it is for the classroom and you can put teacher & aides names on the tag.

My DD has all her shopping and wrapping completed. I have only her gifts to buy but have nothing wrapped. I'd rather wrap and put right under the tree instead of moving them around multiple times. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Usually my only buyers remorse are the items I pick up without a particular person in mind. You know those deals to great to pass up on Target clearance!!! These end up on the gift shelf unused. Eventually do use some of them when I make charity baskets for raffles but never as the gifts I think they will be when I purchase them. If I stick to my list and shop smart I don't have these "extras" laying around.
