Best Buy to Greet Black Friday Shoppers with Historic Midnight Store Opening
jaymacfla replied to bigjimslade's topic in 2011
I don't see how civilized 3 or 4 Am is. My normal wake-up is 4:30 for my hour long commute to work. You would think that a CEO would be in tune with his customers who already camp out for their deals. If he did the slightest amount of homework on this very subject, he would immediately realize that those who camp would benefit from not having to stand out in the freezing cold all night. To me, that is more humane and benefits the consumer. -

Well, give my kudos. my prediction came true, yippee!!! -
I will definitely have something on the docket. that way, i do not have to be preachy. The toys should speak for themselves at times and demos are a great tool when convincing others of their merit.

If you are a fan of the classic oven, then you know how truly confounding it is for a mother who buys one for their child, then realizes that the mixes are not cheap and then buys a hoard of Jiffy mixes for her. The child then bakes her little heart out for herself and others, holds teas and Friday night Creature Feature cake parties(every weekend), and then..........................................Pause...............cannot figure out why her daughter gained 20 pounds! Folks, I think the mixes are priced that way for a reason!

Here is an hour long video of classic toys from the 50s and 60s. In the playset commercial by Marx, you might recognize the child actor, Christopher Knight. Better known as peter Brady. A decade ago, I tracked him down for an interview about the commercial. He said if i could refresh his memory about the video, i would be granted the interview. I quickly sent him a plastic figure from the set, along with a copy of the commercial. He was astounded that the commercial still existed, and the rest is history. http://www.archive.org/details/batteriesnotincluded_2009

I think you have a winner here! These look great for travel during the holidays when the kids normally do not want to leave their toys!

Video games are a passion of mine as well, so your input is always welcome!

The cheap Jiffy mixes backfired on my mom. She had to buy my sister new clothes when she gained 20 pounds from that oven's goodness!

Those of us who camp, have given up on the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but have observed it on the line from time to time! I was born on thanksgiving, so my own birth caused my mother to miss out once herself! The truth is that you can make thanksgiving in your heart any day of the year that is special to you and your loved ones. Nobody needs to tell you when to celebrate the important times together. We celebrate thanksgiving on the Saturday before. In 2009, we celebrated it on Thursday outside of Best BUY because it was my birthday as well. We will always celebrate in this manner when the two coincide.

Nice to hope, but most people will be there as long as their greenbacks or plastic holds up. Energy drinks are not our friend when it comes to competition either!

I have heard some pretty good things about this game, but i am not too keen on the cost factor involved if your children want to progress in the game. If this is not a factor, then I would say that they are in for a good time from all of the proponents of this game!

Check CVS out for the long reclining folding chairs. We got 3 of them for $15 each. These have the leg rest and cup holders, and even a bag on the side to hold incidentals/magazines. The chairs were closeout items. You may have to ask your manager.

There are so many of these ovens out there. Please do a comparison shop on Google.

Hello all! I am scouring the shelves and low places-price wise for deals this holiday season. Dollar Tree has some nice stocking stuffers at their stores right now. Recently i saw some super soft stuffed animals, very cute indeed! These are not like the ones found on their website in "Christmas Corner" A lot of these items will fit in either a stocking, or for those who shop for others or charity, many will fit into a shoebox as well. One Black Friday Item will be the Dancing Solar Penguins and Snowmen for $1, of course. The Stocking Stuffer section of Christmas corner will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect to find at most stores, as far as candy is concerned. http://www.dollartree.com/home.jsp

For those interested in the heaters being offered by BJs and ACE Hardware, Walgreens has a two position temperature controlled heater for $80! This is an everyday price. I have my suspicions, but i think that they just might have this for $70 on Black Friday. It has 750w and 1500w settings with the fireplace log look.
