Yeah! It really does make it easier to know if someone in your area has found what you are looking for. And it keeps us all from constantly having to ask each other where we are located. -

Up above on the left in the blue bar, it says Control Panel. Click on that. Then on the left there is an Update Profile link. Scroll down to Additional Information and there is a spot. This is also the are where you can create a signature and stuff if you like. Thanks to all who add it! It helps a LOT! -

where do you live? that way if anyone is in your area they can take advantage. For everyone who hasn't done it, it REALLY helps if you at least put your state or city & state in your profile so everyone can see it. They put out some more of the Thomas Holiday ones here too. I was surprised since those cleared with Christmas. They also raised the price from Christmas clearance to 45% off the regular price. weird. -

Loads of the Art Easels & Tables at the Madre store in Pasadena. Quite a few in Eagle Rock too, but not fully marked down yet. -

No, it is 10 days, according to CS, not 7. -
I have to agree that Walmart is pretty nasty, especially here in California. Ours is always dirty and the aisles are a mess. The clearance is a joke, as described above. They had toys sitting there from summer clearance for months. They had a bunch of Vsmile games I wanted, but they kept them at $11. Finally just before Thanksgiving I asked the toy manager about them again (I'd asked a few times before), and he said, to come back the Monday after the crazy weekend and he'd mark them all $3. They had moved them to a box in the storeroom when I came back, and he kept his word. I go there only a couple of times a month because it is so bad and so out of my way. I usually make a trip when I need health & beauty aids. Not much else there that is worth my time and trouble to deal with going there.

most of these places don't post a limit. Someone on the thread a month or two ago had experienced it at Target. They wouldn't allow them any more returns. Chuck Schumer has introduced legislation in Congress to force companies to post specific limit policies, but there is currently no such law. I also do a TON of returns, and haven't had a problem, but they have done it to people in the past. Don't have any idea what they base it on. I tend to specifically spread my returns to different stores to try to keep that part of it down. Hopefully it won't become a problem. -

Oh no! They track you by your credit card. If you are paying cash, no problem, at least for now. But they track the returns related to all credit cards. Several companies are now requiring your drivers license and swiping it each time you return. They track you that way. They use a company called The Return Exchange, which has a huge database based on your DL#. Fortunately, Target is not yet one of them. KB Toys, Staples, & Sports Authority all do this. If you ever get denied the right to return something there is a site that is fighting this battle that wants to know: http://www.privacyrights.org/ar/ReturnExchange.htm As I understand it, they look at a % of your returns as they relate to your overall purchases. There isn't a fixed number, but probably a percentage overall. I was doing some reading on the topic yesterday and found a bunch of industry articles. -

the problem with that is that if you do it too often, they'll stop allowing you to do returns. It isn't clear what their threshold is, but they do have one. If they lower their price within the 10 day period, they all know that it is their policy to adjust. No pulling a fast one, or their system wouldn't allow you to do it. -

Just an FYI, if you are looking for these, be sure to check the new National Geographic Toys. I have found them mixed in several times. They old packaging (yellow, white & black) is all clearanced. The new stuff is that orangy color. Same think with the Esphera puzzles. Only some of them are clearanced, but they are often mixed in with regular stuff. I have a tendency to put those out when I find them because I'd like someone to get the deal. anyone in Pasadena, the Madre store had several of the Art easels marked down today. Didn't want one, but saw several. The Lake store has little left, but there are 4 of those Spiderman Ride-on toys and some Lamaze ride-on toys. All about $5. Lamaze was on the clearance aisle, and I think they just showed up today. The spiderman ones are on an endcap, bottom shelf, not very obvious in sporting goods. -

Yes. You can ask someone in the store to check for you, though you always want to ask if they have it in the back. I have been looking for some items lately and had one person tell me no, only to have another tell me yes 5 minutes later. I think the first didn't know what I was asking. You can also use the price checkers if they have a keypad on the side. Just punch in the number and enter and it will tell you if the computer thinks they have it in the back. Though it is often wrong. Finally, you can go to this site and check. But that only works if the item is also sold online at Target.com. The ASIN number is an Amazon number used by Target when they sell through Amazon. You can use one or the other. http://www.schumanfamily.com/fatwallet/targetasin.php -

They to clearance the Avent stuff, but only when there is a style/packaging change, I think. I used that brand (can you say glad to be done!?), and I saw them go down. I had to replace my pump, too, and got the Avent pump on clearance. -

I'd certainly try! Worst case they tell you no and you can return/rebuy. Many of us have taken the receipt, bought it at the lower price and walked straight to CS to return with the old receipt. -

When I was a kid and Walmart was moving into Texas it was GREAT! But that was when Sam was alive and the company had very different values. Nowadays I go there only when desperate for something I can't get at Target. I stop by from time to time to look for Disney Cars toys, but not much else. Give me Target any day! -

I don't know where you are in SoCal, but I JUST (not an hour ago) saw one of these sitting in the Garden center (I am pretty sure) at the Alhambra store. It was the only one left and I just glanced down to see that it was indeed $10. It might have been in Hardware, but I think it was GC. -

If it was within 10 days, just take your receipt to Guest Services. They'll do a price adjustment. -

No, I think I wore green. Oh well, I guess we probably saw each other but didn't know it. Maybe next time. I'm glad you got your Panda. They really are pretty cute! By the way, if you are shopping at TRU, I noticed that the Alhambra store has a LOT of better deals than Monrovia. Not sure why. I always thought TRU did their sales nationally, but I guess not. I saw some toys on sale at one but not the other. -

LOL! That is what I do, too! I have one DS bday in March, and the other in April. I usually stock up on the little things from the clearance stuff to do the favors. I almost always get a few wind-up toys each holiday and generally have enough by the end. And I get the holiday candy to use. Works out great! -

I was with a local friend. She's more noticeable because she is VERY tall and thin. Are you Asian, and did you come with your mother? I saw someone wearing black at the Lake store who might have been you. She had at least one overflowing basket and talked to some other customer like they knew each other. I kept listening to people to try to determine if anyone was talking like they knew what was going on so that maybe they were the GD people. It was pretty crazy though! Burbank marked theirs the same day, but there wasn't much left by the time I got there. I did pick up a RoboPanda for my friend (which she thankfully picked up yesterday - those things are huge!). I found a few odds and ends (Playmobil) that weren't marked for some reason, and was able to find a markdown guy to fix that. Alhambra finally marked theirs Friday afternoon, but there wasn't much left. They left a lot of stuff unmarked, too. Not sure if they just missed it, or if they did on purpose. I wouldn't bother going unless I were already in the area. Did you get your Robo Panda? I almost bought two to offer you one, but they were so big I didn't have a place to keep it till I heard back. Hope you got yours. -

They sell them to Goodwill, Salvation Army, Big Lots and a large number of liquidators. There is a website called Liquiation.com that some Target stores sell their salvage (by the truckload or pallet) through. It varies by location. If they donate it during the tax year it was acquired, they don't get the better write-off so they sell it. Then they make their charitable donations in actual money. -

Oh man, I had an "encounter" with a snotty little cashier today who gave me the "it rings up 30% so that is what it is" today. I told her there was a sign that said 75% and there were a lot of the items on the shelf. She wouldn't budge and got all snotty with her tone. I said fine, keep them. So she is still ticked off and proceeds to literally throw the Thomas toys into the bag. Well, her nastiness was bad enough, but she actually ripped the packaging on one of the ones I wanted to give as a gift. I have had problems with the store before because they won't even attempt to look up a price if it comes up without one. In this case, no attempt to check, no looking at the signage/aisle. Just a flat refusal. So I called the 800 number while I was still in the parking lot. I was pretty ticked. I think there will be a little "re-training" on that cashier. Oh, the item was a Mr. Magorium Sock Monkey & Book. It was cute, but not worth the hassle. -
