  1. Yes, they do, but I have to tell you that you might do better checking some other places. These are going by the wayside in general because with the upcoming change in the types of TVs (moving to the new digital signal) most companies are moving to flat TVs. Anyway, places like hotels are replacing all their TVs and moving to flat screens. This is leaving a HUGE glut of TV armoires on the secondary market. Anyway, all that said, you might find something you like better for a great price if you shop around. But if you just want something cheap and quick, Target does clearance furniture.
  2. These did not get marked down at all here. They just moved a bunch of stuff to the regular aisles.
  3. they only had a few for Christmas. they were a "special purchase." big lawsuit by a bunch of independent retailers over this as Ganz, the manufacturer, had agreements not to sell through mass retailers. so, the ones they have now are probably all they'll get for a while. Stupidly, the came so late in the season that they didn't even get to sell most at full price!

  5. You don't have to be snooty because you don't buy clothes there. There are often great deals to be had out there at all sorts of stores. But THIS woman was a snot, and it WAS because it was Target. She did not want HER husband wearing Target clothes. It was pretty clear from what she said and the way she was trying to get him not to buy the jacket. Which did look good on him, despite being too Isaac Mizrahi for my taste. Speaking of Isaac Mizrahi, he will no longer be designing for Target. His contract is up. He is going to work with Liz Claiborne instead. Target also had its CEO step down. That is rarely good news for a company. Hope it doesn't spell big change out there...
  6. We don't use any trash cans quite that small, so it isn't a big deal. We only have 2 small cans that don't fill quickly, so buying a few trash bags isn't too much trouble. Plus, you can always get a few of the plastic bags when you need them. We just tend to get flooded in them, and I am sick to death of them.
  7. I have only ever seen them at carts & kiosks in the mall.
  8. Yep! I keep them in my trunk, but on grocery shopping days I have to move them all to the passenger front seat so I remember them!
  9. Ooh weekends in Old Town can be a bit crazy. On the other hand, if you come, don't miss the two story store on Colorado just West of Lake as well!
  10. The canvas bags hold more than a typical plastic grocery store bag. I would easily have 20 if I used those too. I take about 8 canvas tote bags in with me. Sometimes I don't use them all. Other times I overflow and go to paper sacks. We use those to hold our newspapers and recycling in the house. That way we can just dump the whole thing into the recycling container for the city pickup. We don't have to sort, so we usually like to have some of the paper bags around anyway.
  11. Sporting Goods doesn't get marked till Thursday or Friday.
  12. Anyone looking for a Turkey Fryer in SoCal? They have 5 of them at the Madre store in Pasadena. $10. Top shelf on the back wall in Hardware.
  13. Yes, they do. 2 times per year if it is under $20 or $25. I can't remember the limit. You have to have your DL with you though.
  14. Yup! I was going to report it too! They were marking ours today. Didn't have time to stop, but noticed it. I'll go back.
  15. I have a family of 4, and I use about 6-8 per trip. However, I have a variety of bags, only one of the Target bags. Their bags aren't really big enough for groceries IMHO. I raided my mom's canvas tote bags from conferences. I have one from our Public Radio station (I think it is required if you are a public radio listener ). I just take them all, keep them in my cart by my purse, and hand them to the bagger. I also have an AWESOME zipper cooler bag that I keep in the car for cold items if I am on a long shopping trip (or just for our hot CA summers). When it is really hot, I add a cold pack to it. I got that at Trader Joe's for $5.
  16. I use them all the time. And the store gives me $.05 off for each bag used. The baggers don't even blink.
  17. Yeah, I thought it was pretty pathetic. Her DH was pretty ticked because she didn't even look before she started saying No. If my DH would even look for his own clothes I'd be perfectly pleased! On the other hand, I wouldn't really want him to. I saw some of the clothes he had picked for himself when we got married!
  18. Saw a guy looking at the jackets Sunday. He was all excited about the brown leather one. Came over to his wife in shoes (with child) and asked if she liked it. Before she even looked up she said "NO!" He was so upset and hurt. Then she is all back-peddling but still telling him no for all sorts of reasons. Boiled down to her being a snob about buying a leather jacket at Target! Her DH was none-too-pleased!
  19. Yeah, living here in California, they were required to start selling them here a year or so ago. And they are required to have a recycling bin in each retail store for the plastic bags if they use them. They have been threatening outlawing them or making stores charge for them. I carry canvas tote bags in my trunk for groceries and use paper when I need more (I raided my mom's stash when I visited. She goes to TONS of conferences and had about 30!). It is harder for Target, though, because I almost never get a few items. And the stuff never seems to fit well. Still I have been trying to use them more there, too. It is just harder to get used to.
  20. Interesting....We usually are pretty much one of the first areas to get the stuff on the shelf, and this year we are WAY behind. I have seen a smattering of Easter & Valentines stuff, but certainly not the "Mini-Seasonal" section that goes up where Christmas was. Maybe next week. I have been looking for the new Littlest Pet Shop valentine sets. They are too cute from the pictures I have seen!
  21. Nahh....at least I don't. I cheat and look at last year's thread. Go to the main Offline Deals page and then click the Search this Forum button. Search for the word Perimeter. That will pull up all the Target stuff. It helps that I've been on here for the past year+ so I know that we started out without the month in the title. Then, I search inside the old thread.
  22. Hmmm... really? Where did they put it? I ask because they usually clearance the bulk stuff to make space.
  23. Okay, LOL! Look at us. We don't even consider full priced merchandise anymore! GB has been on the sales floor for about a week, and we are already asking this question! I was actually wondering how long it would take before we moved to this topic. I checked, and it looks like Valentines went 90% on the 21st and GB went 75% on the 22nd. Hope that helps! Heck, we don't even have Valentines Day stuff out yet! I am fairly surprised that they haven't gotten it on the sales floor by now. Walmart and all the drug stores do.
