  1. I was beginning to wonder too, but I found 3 yesterday. Seems like when I "need" them, they are absent. I finally had run down and had to pay full price last week for then for DS school birthday party. Anyway, I think we'll see more over the next couple of weeks as they are featured in the sale flyer. They always seem to put more out when they run out because of a sale.
  2. Ahhh....they are still 50% here. They have been known to salvage these before they get to 75% off, so you are lucky. I am watching it for a friend of mine. We each got them for our eldest kids a couple of years ago, and they make great gifts.
  3. Cool! I had that coupon from the newspaper but used it to buy regular ones for my son's bday goodie bags. He has excellent taste and asked for them! Now I can print more coupons for after Easter sales!
  4. If it bothers you, just buy some, take them to the car. Go back and go through a different register...
  5. Starbucks Milk Chocolate bars $.74 - going in the Easter baskets!
  6. If it had a red & white striped tag, then it is because they don't carry the item. Often smaller stores don't carry the entire catalog of items Target sells. Someone may have bought it at another store, then returned it to this one.
  7. Corp policy is to accept their own coupons. You really need to call, using the receipt from the incident, and have them re-train your store.
  8. Well, of course, she is a complete idiot. But aside from that, take your receipt and call the 800 number tomorrow. They will want some info off the receipt, and you should specifically ask that they re-train the employees as it is absurd that they don't even know that they accept their own coupons. 800-440-0680
  9. From what I've seen, it is usually similar from holiday to holiday locally. So, if you didn't have much left after Christmas & Vday, it will be similar for Easter. I read in the paper that the stores are expecting Easter sales to be down a lot, but if you live in an area where there aren't that many stores or like me where there are simply SO many people per store, then there is still not likely to be much left.
  10. It isn't clearance, it is a special. It is for 4" annuals, and only includes certain common varieties like marigolds, begonias, impatiens, etc. Limit 60 FYI, they also have 2 cu ft bags of bark mulch for $1.88 each as well!! Limit 20. Oh, and it may or may not be chain wide, but it certainly is in the warmer areas. Including Southern California.
  11. There is stuff at various online stores, but I have never found it in stores.
  12. Yep. Yesterday was a bonanza in stationery. I got a bunch of cardboard clipboards with plain white paper and a pencil attached at the bottom. Something I can give the boys when they are bored and want to draw. $.86 each. Got a bunch for my friend too. I also found several packs of modeling clay for $3.24. Some Barbie doll sized dresses to decorate yourself, 4 dresses included with a bunch of decorations for $4.48 (for my friend's girls). Make your own bouncing ball kits (16 balls) for $2.24. Some Color Wonder markers and soft sticks. I also picked up a couple of office packs for both boy's teachers - stapler, hole punch, etc. for $2.48. Just lots of goodies. They had Hello Kitty party supplies, lots of odds and ends party supplies and treat sack fillers.
  13. I'd take the receipt back to guest services with the coupon and tell them you forgot it before. They don't usually even bother trying to figure what is what. If the computer doesn't complain, they'll give you the money back.
  14. Took a bit of experimenting with these, but the sticking problem was that I was pushing them against the plastic too hard. If you play with how much pressure you apply while using them on the plastic containers, you can get them to work fine. I was a bit annoyed initially, but once I figured it out, I was pretty happy with the purchase.
  15. TRU has it for that price also (out of stock online). Yes, it is the same doll. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3382103&EDID=W3J906-C53L2-IS1ALI-V16ZHZ-3A03V-v1
  16. Lots of price increases around the store this week. If you are buying everyday items, you might want to be sure to double check the prices. They were raising the price of checkout candy today. DS is going to be very upset next time he goes to buy a Hershey bar. Saw several increases in toys as well as food.
  17. They can tell you that you aren't allowed to come back to the store or all the regional stores. One person on this list was told she could not come back because they thought she was hiding stuff, but she was actually innocent. Corporate overrode it, but they can enforce it. That said, they generally just ring it up at the stated price on the ticket if it has one. I always give them a bit of a fit when they do stuff like that.
  18. Yeah, that is a state by state thing based on the law. CA allows it, and so do some other states. One of our stores also recently added beer. Walmart carries wine here too.
  19. Oh, for those who have wine in their stores, the clearance wine went 75% today. The red Franciscan Cabernet is really nice (original price in CA was $24.99) and the Oko Pinot Grigio is a really nice white wine to drink with food (original price in CA was $10.99). Not sure the prices in other areas, and I know not everyone has wine. For those who do, it can be worthwhile to buy a bottle when they are 50% off to see if they are any good. I managed to get several bottles of each today at 75%!
  20. The Color Wonder Mini sets that were clearanced for Vday are indeed part of Easter. That is why they went back to full price. I saw the shelf tag in mini-seasonal at one store today, then saw them on the shelf at another. They are beginning to set Easter now.
  21. It is actually a crime to do that. The machine may accept it, but it is still just plain illegal and can get you into a lot of trouble if you get caught. http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=5338545 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2043383/posts
  22. Ugh! OT, but WHEN did Target start using off-shore people for their customer service phone line!?!?! Apparently it is now out-sourced to India. Isn't that nice? In this crummy economy, they are shipping those jobs overseas? They used to always be answered domestically, so this is a recent turn of events. I did not enjoy or find it easy to talk to the person there today when I ran into a problem.
  23. A store opened here a year or so ago, and they had a quiet opening for about a week before the official grand opening. But there were no special deals or giveaways at either time. It was pretty disappointing. Seems like someone more recently reported going to an opening and getting something, so hopefully for you it has changed.
  24. I would not be surprised if they have them in the Easter mini-seasonal like they did Valentine's. I got some last fall in the Back to School stuff.
