From the fights in some areas, I would say that the cheap doorbusters were the wanted items and the more expensive items might have languished a bit. I was surpised how long some of the larger items were available online (and since I was one of the people checking those items, I should know). Did my last checks Friday afternoon and there were still a few items online. I think people hard hit by the economy went more for necessity type items again... Just my thoughts.

Where I work is full of people calling out, they knew in advance they weren't going to work, waited until too late to get scheduled off and just call out..... Increases the stress for the rest of us.... it's a call center, we need a certain number of people there to take calls..... I feel for the people there tomorrow, I have PTO but Mondays are always bad, too many people just decide to take Monday off....

Again, I would have no problem with this, although when we moved I sold CDs for a 1.00 each. Probably the ones you were wanting....LOL

But the Walmarts in my area seem to have more organization than in other parts of the country. While not perfect, there at least was a plan in place in the electronics area that kept the lines from getting out of hand. Now the stores were overpacked and I think they should come up with a plan for that maybe as if there were a serious incident, the fire department would never be able to get through the throngs of people in lines waiting to check out.

I know I'm going to be last minute.....Payday is Friday, can't ship what I've got til then....But I like being last minute, sometimes I find something interesting that works better!

I think when it comes to books, if they are in great shape and it's a favorite author or a book the person has mentioned wanting to read, I have no issue with a second-hand book. I have shopped at used book stores for myself for a long time before I got the nook.

Planning to be there, should have gotten more sleep by then....

What about a kindle or nook for each and gift cards so they can customize them to their own preferences...Or the Kindle Fires? Don't know how much you are wanting to spend.

My brother went to one of the Walmarts near us, he was hoping for the Wii for 99.00, he was number 12 in that line but the manager originally said that they weren't available til Midnight so a couple of girls left. They decided to start at 10:00 afterall and he did get his Wii, the girls came back and ended up in the back, he said there were only 2 or 3 left so he's doubtful that they got one. He said it was crazy but not impossible to move around in but he was glad to get out of there...

At EXP CON almost all the asian vendors had lucky bags, some you could get for a dollar or two with a purchase, others were more expensive. Noticed a lot of the younger crowd indulged in them.

Mine usually is like that, no movie, get up, get newspaper since it's not being delivered this year.... maybe starbucks and then home for breakfast. No chinese this year, bought a Turkey dinner from publix, heat and eat. Maybe head to Walgreens or CVS for specials. then time to start working on linking the online deals, stocking up on energy drinks...

Big Jim, I feel closer to most the people on this board, despite the fact we have never met in person, than to most of the people I see 5-7 days a week at work and home...Glad you are feeling a little better!!
