  1. I've thought about getting some of those. What do you store in them?
  2. I finally ordered on the 29th and they came yesterday, 2/1 by FedEx.
  3. Last time we were there, someone in line was talking about the awesome deal she got using this http://www.headfororlando.com/ I've never used it but she was so complimentary that I had to ask her where she got the deal. I made a note to check it out before our next trip. Might be worth a comparison for some of you folks renting condo/houses in the area.
  4. My kids LOVE Universal! I think a trip is out of the question for us this year, too. What a bummer! That is a great price.
  5. I haven't done this for years but they did replace several pairs of jeans for my oldest who was Always wearing hers out at the knee. After you purchase so much (I think it is $100), the register generates a 15% off coupon you can use later.
  6. Check out Boscov's. http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Department.bos?type=Department&pdn=33600100&departmentNumber=6260010 They are having a big sale. I love that site.
  7. Books! Some of the dollar stores around here have those really nice heavy cardboard books. I used to love the small ones to stick in a diaper bag. Walmart has quite a few for 97cents. I've used books several times and they are always a big hit. The last one I did, I got a big, colorful sandpail and used that instead of a gift bag.
  8. Maybe Boscov's. They are having a sale right now. http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Department.bos?type=Department&pdn=33600100&departmentNumber=33600100 60% off with an additional 10% off
  9. Lots of things are OOS now. DH works there and he said they will be adding new items to the website on Wednesday.
  10. Travelocity had a list of cruise specials posted yesterday. I tried to post the link in another thread and couldn't. I must be able to do that yet. They had free room upgrade for Carnival.
  11. I guess I can't post a link yet ~ oops. I found the deals on Travelocity.
  12. http://leisure.travelocity.com/Promotions/0,,CJUS|3911|cruises_main,00.html?lb.done=1&Service=CJUS I found this on another site and thought it went along with this thread. Carnival has a room upgrade and RC has $200-300 off. Thought you might want to check it out.
  13. I used www.hotwire.com a couple of years ago when were going to be staying overnight during a trip and got a great deal on a room ~ The only drawback is that you don't know exactly what hotel it is until you confirm the deal but you have a pretty good idea since they break the types of hotels into categories.
  14. Do you have a Big Lots or a Gabriel's? Either one of those might be worth a check.
  15. Her name is Melody. She is 17. It was a "grown-up" necklace. It was a dainty little heart shape on a nice chain.
  16. I just knocked my daughter's personalized necklace into a flushing toilet. I was too late to retrieve it. Any idea where I can get a necklace with a handpainted name on it?? I have looked online but so far, I haven't had any luck finding anything. The flushed one was heart-shaped with tiny flowers around the edges and her name in the middle. Help! It wouldn't have to be exactly the same, just something with her name since we can never find her name pre-printed on anything.
  17. We have a Value City Furniture. I had heard bad things about their stuff and I had never found anything worth buying there but 2 years ago, we were in the market for a new dining room suite and I found 1 there I really liked. I had looked everywhere else and checked there as a last resort. I was shocked and actually ended up getting the d.r. furniture and beds for my daughters. Everything has held up fine. We purchased using their 12 months same as cash option. So...you might give them a look if you have one near you.
  18. Check out the Kodak site. They had reduced some of their prices. I got my dd one from there for Christmas. Here a few codes to try: Buy any camera, Save 10% on memory cards, bags & batteries. Discount Coupon Code: NEWCAM10JU Exp. 1/15/07 Buy a camera, Get 15% off accessories. Discount Coupon Code: SNOWFLAKE 10% off any printer dock order. Discount Coupon Code: NEWCAMPDJU Exp. 1/15/07 I also found this site helpful when I was deciding what to get... http://www.imaging-resource.com Good luck!
  19. I ordered from this site before: http://www.silverjewelryclub.com/?afsrc=1 The jewelry is "free" but you pay for shipping, which is 5.99. They were for my dd also and she loved them. I got 3 different pair and they were super cute. I would just be worried that they might not arrive in time for Christmas though....maybe you could keep it in mind for a birthday. The available selection changes and you can only order one thing at a time but shoot for 6 bucks~ that was OK with me. Do you have a local Elder-Beerman? Our store always has lots of sterling silver for pretty cheap. Plus, they always have a clearance table and sometimes you can snag a great deal there.
  20. My DD 17 recently played the game Apples to Apples and said it was really fun.
  21. Attach it to one of those big movie theatre-size boxes of candy and then wrap that? Include the gift cert. in a little package that also has a couple of scratch-off lottery tickets. Those are fun just because you have to scratch 'em to see if you won an extra buck or two!
  22. My DH likes the regular Lee jeans. I got some for 19.99 at Kohl's. Sears and Goody's had them for that also. That's the best I've seen. I ordered some last year from EssentialApparel.com and I just got an email from them saying they are having free shipping w/ a $70 order.
