  1. Some ideas....Magic School Bus movies ~ educational and fun (my kids especially like Inside Ralphie); Finding Nemo; Monsters, Inc.; Scooby Doo; all the Land Before Time movies; High School Musical. (p.s. My kids thought Monster House was a little scary, at first)
  2. Just got back from using my 40% off coupon. Got a great price. Thanks!
  3. Any new ideas, anyone?? :) oliviasgrace, I never would have thought of the bowling alley! We're loving the ideas. jcarr492, when you did the raffle, did you just draw the winning tickets at your house or do it at some event?
  4. I was thinking Dollar General, too. I'm pretty sure I saw some there last week.
  5. We have gas logs for our fireplace. They have a thermostat so they kick on and off like a furnace would. LOVE them! They are in our downstairs where it was always so cold in winter we couldn't stay down there. Now, it can stay nice and toastie but doesn't get too warm because they are on too long. I don't know if they have the same kind of thermostat for electric ones but I would highly, highly recommend it if they do.
  6. Tickets to the local movie theater? Blockbuster (or local movie rental spot) gift certificate with some popcorn and a big box of "theater-type" candy? I like doing this since it gives a "thing" to unwrap and isn't just a gift cert.
  7. How much do you use it? If you use it for limited use, you might check out Tracfones. I got my daughter a flip phone from there for her birthday so she would have one in case she needed to call. DH and I both have them also (not flip phones though). Of course, none of us use them for lots of chatting...only for little use. If you go that route, the year plan seems the best way to go for us. If you'll be doing lots of talking, Tracfone wouldn't be the most cost effective choice for you though.
  8. She would be part of a group but she has to come up with her share of the money on her own.
  9. Have you tried eBay? Sometimes they have them on Buy It Now but you probably don't have enough time for that. Office Depot was having them for good prices when school started but I don't know about now. Good luck! Why do those darn things have to be SO expensive? My daughter has a TI 83+, which I think is pretty much the same and is a little cheaper than the 84. You might check those out to save a buck.
  10. My daughter was chosen to go on a trip to Europe but it is quite expensive. She can do fundraising to help with the cost but we are having trouble coming up with some good ideas. Anyone have any ideas for fundraisers that a teen could do??? TIA!!
