  1. I got one for my youngest dd for next year. She picked Wild Rose. I also picked up some shirts for me.
  2. Since the brilliant folks at your husband's work have decided people should wear this, what do they have to say about where to get them? Maybe they have already done the leg work and know where they are available. Otherwise, maybe he needs to go to them and say orange turtlenecks are nearly impossible to find. Is there another alternative?
  3. Maybe a sports website that has Syracuse or Tennessee sports stuff since orange is their color? I can't think of anyone else who has orange as their school color but I'm sure there are others. Does it have to be plain? Could it have a team logo on it?
  4. Have you checked any cooking stores for cookbook holders? They might be sturdy enough to hold texts. I know someone gave my niece a really nice one from Pier One.
  5. Soon, I am going to need some ink for my new printer. I tried some "generic" once from Office Depot on my old printer and I didn't like it. Any recommendations? I don't typically print photos, just papers that do sometimes have graphics on them. It is an Epson printer.
  6. How about Boscov's? http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Product.bos?assortmentDepartmentNumber=7154560&assortmentId=5&itemNumber=22153&type=Product or http://www.boscovs.com/StoreFrontWeb/Product.bos?assortmentDepartmentNumber=7154560&assortmentId=2&itemNumber=22160&type=Product They are 39.99 a set but shipping is $19 because of the weight.
  7. I got my dd a Kodak camera for a Europe trip last summer and she got some awesome shots with it. I was really happy with the pic quality. It wasn't this particular model but I would be willing to give this one a try. Seems like a pretty good deal! Sposhek, can you use rechargeable batteries?
  8. So, could you explain the strap? There is only 1? It says it distributes weight evenly but with only 1 strap, how does it do that? I can't see a back view to see how it works. Thanks.
  9. I don't know where to tell you to get a good deal but we got a set a few years ago and I LOVE them. One of the best purchases we've ever made!!!! Our downstairs was always freezing cold in winter. Not anymore! The set cost a little more but I highly recommend them....they have a millivolt system that kicks them on and off. They have a thermostat that mounts on the wall (or wherever you want it) to monitor the temp, so they kick on and off just like a furnace would. That way, the room doesn't overheat when you have them on. The thermostat does have a small wire that runs to the logs but ours runs along the edge of the hearth and up the wall by the drapes to the thermostat, so you really don't see it at all.
  10. I think the contact paper will be fine. I used it to cover a small phone list I keep in my wallet and it is going strong after several years. FYI - kind of a related subject. I take clear packing tape and fold it over the edges and on seams of folders and envelopes that have to go back and forth to school. They last sooo much longer. The contact paper would work, too, but it seems to be the seams that take the beating so the tape is sufficient to protect those spots.
  11. How about your local nursery, a little closer to planting time? I know for a fact that they sell them at my local nursery. They will weigh out the amount you want.
  12. You can get packs of double-sided laminating paper. I was just using them at work on Thursday. You just open it up, peel out the inside liner, place your paper, lower the top carefully (using a ruler helps to make there aren't any bubbles) and there ya go. They work great and are nice and heavy. There are also single sheets if you only want care about the front. I know those are about $27 for a box of 50 at Office Depot. I have used clear contact paper at home before. That would be the cheap route but, of course, not quite as sturdy as the lamination. Might be good enough for what you want for your charts. Here's a link to the self-sealer for an example: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=161849
  13. Oh no! I took forever to check out. I was expecting it to come up with an error and tell me it was OOS. Maybe you can catch it again for your dd.
  14. I finally got it!! :):):):):) I used JANSAVE30 for 30% off and got free shipping with MVC1598. I had to pay tax, so my total was $59.xx.
  15. Thank you, folks! GottaDeal members are great!:) I will pass along your messages and well-wishes.
  16. Thanks folks! I will pass along your comments. dessenma ~ best wishes to your hubby for a quick recovery! Get some rest on your night at home.
  17. A good friend of mine will be having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic next month. She needs a place for her dh to stay will she is there. She is unfamiliar with the area, so it is hard to know where to make reservations for him. She would prefer he be close by so he doesn't have to drive around an unfamiliar city alone and so he would be fairly close in case she needed him. She will probably be in an inpatient for 7 days (5 minimum). Anyone familiar enough with the area to give some good recommendations?? She thought she had found a place but the weeknights were $200+ each. yikes!!! She'd like to get reservations taken care of so it is one less thing to worry about. TIA!!!
  18. I haven't seen any recently but I will keep my eyes open. I got one for dd for Christmas and she LOVES it. She has barely put it down.
  19. Yes, definitely!! Thank you! Love the plan to hold off until the new stuff hits the market.
  20. I am hoping to wait a while but the old laptop has been worked hard over the past 2 years with the online classes and is acting up a bit. It has been a week or so since I have had any but I have gotten occasional hard drive errors. so I am hoping to make thru my classes. This is my last quarter but I'm sure I will have to replace before long. Just wondering if you have a brand preference.
  21. For more use than Angelic's ~ home use for online classes plus the usual, with limited gaming ~ what do you recommend? Currently have a Gateway which has been great but will be looking to replace w/i the next year. BTW, I detest our local CC, so would prefer to purchase anywhere but there.
  22. Me, too but I re-ordered with a different CC and it went through fine.
  23. Keep an eye on Office Depot. I know someone who got a great deal on a Toshiba there. (been a while though....like before school started, so I don't know what kind of deals they have now)
