  1. Even if you don't need this stuff, but you live by a Staples, you may want to consider donating these items to your neighborhood school. We were able to equip several small rooms using free and penny items parents brought in!
  2. Thanks. I am an adult but I cannot find ear buds small enough. I'm going to check these out when I can finally finish unpacking from the move.
  3. Thanks for all the ideas for the hangers and excellent general tips like startsampling. Moving out is sooooo much more expensive than I thought it would be. I'm going to try your free ideas first and if all else fails go to Walmart. I just went on a crazy coupon clipping binge tonight, only got generic stuff- except for cheese and ketchup which I can't find good acceptable generics for and circled ads- have lots of stores close so I can run around for groceries or other goods. I was so happy to see the day we moved in was the grand opening of a Dollar Tree down the street. That saved me tons.
  4. My mom said they are like a dollar a peice, but I think maybe she wants me to get the fancy ones? I'm not. A hanger is a hanger. Thanks for your help Conj, I'll stop up at Walmart today.
  5. It doesn't matter which kind and I am thinking maybe 25-50 hangers.
  6. I am in the process of moving into a new apartment, my first. My parents don't have anything they can give me to furnish it and my friends live 1,200 miles away so I am trying to furnish a bare apartment so you might see me asking for deals these next few days. Does anyone know where I can get a super deal on a lot of hangers? I have none. (I can't take my parents)
  7. The Kmart one looks perfect! We have one about 10 miles away. Welcome to Gottadeal...please stick around!
  8. Yes, and Freecycle and everything else. Kayakmom, no Ikea I'll check online though.
  9. Ok, I know this is a lot to ask for but I am trying to find a kitchen table with 4 chairs (I'll even settle for 2) for $100. I didn't get the Sunday paper so I can't look at the ads. Has anyone been in a store and seen one?
  10. Cheri- I have the same problem trying to find buisinesswear but in size 3. JC Penney has a good junior's buisiness section, and I go to the Ann Taylor OUTLET (because I don't think anyone can afford the regular store). Lastly, try Kmart, they had some very nice dressy juniors tops in extra small.
  11. http://www.learningcompany.com/ That site is a pretty inexpensive, high quality website. They have some good deals there. They are owned by Broderbound.
  12. Aeropostle's 0s run pretty big just FYI. I know this sounds weird, but I am an XS too (size 3ish), but I was just at Kmart today and they had tons of cute XS (including size 1) stuff for cheap. They even had some professional looking clothes! Also, JC Penny is a good option, 5-7-9 if that still exists and I'm thinking of another store where most things are $9.99 or $14.99 and they sell girls and guys clothes but I can't remember the name. I can go look if you want. I can see the bag even!
  13. Thanks! I need furniture for my new apartment! 20% off should help a lot with that.
  14. Thanks. There aren't any near me in Ohio, but there are in Florida when I teach. I'm going to send my brother!
  15. Here are a link to the beanbags at Walmart.com from cheapest to most expensive. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=426696&sb=79&sdir=sasc Target has bean bags that start at $17.99 online. I don't know how many you are looking to buy, but it says if you spend $125, you get 15% off. You can also put an ad on Craigslist and see if anyone is getting rid of any. Make sure to say you are a teacher, people will be more generous. The teachers at www.atozteacherstuff.com usually can let you know where to find teachery things for cheap as well.
  16. It depends on the individual Staples. Some allow teachers to go way over the limit, and some are incredibly strict with the limit. Good luck!
  17. Haha, well the person that posted it thought today was Sunday! Several other people on the board say they can confirm the ad because somehow they can see it although the site won't let me.
  18. Someone on a teacher message board I frequent said the Staples penny sale started today. I don't see it in any of my ads or any other message board. Can someone confirm or deny this?
  19. Yep, I looked at Sams. The school is tax exempt. I'm starting to think about just getting the boring colored ones and colored stickers for the labels.
  20. Thanks Azzy, That is a great deal. However, I need hanging files. My old school did the thing with Office Depot, but my school this year has 70 kids and 6 teachers, so most places won't cut us a discount because there aren't enough of us.
  21. I don't exactly need these until Mid-Aug. but wanted to start looking now. I was wondering if any office stores had 2 for 1 deals on these? I need 5 different colors of hanging files- I can't get an assorted 25 pack, I need more folders than that. I need at least 1 25 pack of each (color coding my lessons for each subject I teach- I am teaching a record breaking 5 different ones this year! ) Please help me not spend $50 on folders.
  22. The Target I visited in northeast Ohio had summer stuff on 30% clearance...tons of it left. School supplies weren't out but there were some teacher things in the Dollar Spot, none of which I could use. Summer stuff was mostly still in the Dollar Spot. They had a lot of clearance things 75% off, but it was all under signs marked 30% off. I found some really cute Nick and Nora pajamas with sock monkeys- only size small left for about $6.00. There were about 5 pair.
  23. Sm, last year I ended up there when it was 70% off. I was just about to begin my teaching career so I was able to build a nice wardrobe for just over $100. Keep checking for the big sale to start especially if you are a weird size.
  24. :) Hahahah. Marcs is a strange place. There needs to be a fan club for it. I am suprised your Marcs has a scanner.
