  1. More scary stuff: I never got an email about Elite early access sale, but found a 'ballon' next to the prices when I added my movies: Early Access Event: November 20-23 My Best Buy members get early access to select sales. My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus members can shop our select Black Friday deals before anyone else. Prices for this sale are valid through Sunday, November 23. I never saw this!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else? I hope it's a misprint! Indiana Jones is $3.99, but not Planet of the Apes or Lego movie. Prices change whenever.
  2. Just got Xmen: Future and Transformers: Age of Extinction Blu-rays for BF prices.
  3. I just noticed two things that scare me: I read this as part of the benefits for Elite/Elite Plus members (which I have been for several years): 'Plus, advanced online access to our Black Friday deals' When looking at Best Buy's website it says: This mentions 'SELECT Black Friday Deals before anyone else'. If that is the case....I won't be trying as hard to reach Elite status next year.
  4. Should have no issues streaming music via the Bluetooth. Having the subwoofer will help with bass sound when watching movies, but don't really know how well music will sound coming from a sound bar. I'm sure it will sound decent enough (not because of the brand, but because of it being a sound bar). Sound bars will not have a rich full sound like you would get from larger speakers, but sound bars are a good way to save on space and money. Best Buy has a Vizio on sale for $99 on BF, but I think I would prefer the LG with the subwoofer. BTW, the LG Sound bar is LIVE at this price now at BestBuy and HHgregg. Reviews seem positive . Here is another one I found. It's a Vizio with more speakers for $199 at Best Buy. (Live now)
  5. Thanks! Got 50 off the first code!
  6. The 50in TV is listed as in-store only (odds are not good for online, but you never know).
  7. Peer pressure might get to the teenagers, lol. Most probably don't care about sound...just the name so they can be like their friends. As an adult...I prefer better .
  8. Audio Tech seems to get good reviews on their headsets (better than Beats and Bose). They have several models with some are cheaper than Beats (and a few that are more).
  9. Not sure what can really get rid of the 'pipe' noise. Try to find a pair of noise cancelling ones. I have some Sony ones that help on airplane trips, but not sure how much it will help with that kind of noise, lol.
  10. Not sure but check Dell's add. I think they make one and so does Toshiba and HP. Some of the BF sales ads might have them. Check, Staples, Dell, Radio Shack, Office Max/Depot and Best Buy. I think they are usually 2GB, but not sure about the USB.
  11. It looks like Newegg.com is putting the Andrew Jones Pioneer speakers on sale for Black Friday. It is a heck of a deal for what you get. They are not perfect, but for the money, they are hard to pass up. Below is a link to the deal (it's on page 3 of the Newegg ad) and a couple of reviews to judge for yourself. Newegg Deal (scroll down to Newegg (I can't post link directly to the ad for some reason)) Review #1 Review #2 If you are looking for speakers and have a little room for speakers, check these out before buying a soundbar or such (especially if you are on a budget)
  12. Wal-Mart has some of their Legos on sale tomorrow. Check out this ad: Walmart Pre-Black Friday I thought this was a good deal as well. Just miscellaneous pieces, but sometimes that's what you need, lol.
  13. True, but you have to hook up your charger to charge it at the same time. The docks are nice for charging while playing, but also have their downside as you might have to take it out of it's case to do it. You can't have your cake and eat it too, lol.
  14. Pretty good deal on those Klipsch at 50% off. I picked up the Pioneer Andrew Jones SP-FS52-LR ($75 ea), SP-C22 ($50), SP-BS22-LR ($100 for both). A great deal on great speakers without breaking the bank. The reviews are outstanding for speakers in this price range and the sound they produce. I'm not an expert, but I am enjoying them a lot. Lots more rich and full sound than my old Bose and Polk satellite speakers. You could always just replace part of your system and take advantage of the sale then buy the rest later.
  15. I wanted to start a thread for anyone who had questions on purchasing speaker set-ups for their HDTVs this Black Friday. You never hear too much about this in the forums, but there are lots of sales on speakers and equipment; so someone is buying them during BF. I mentioned it during the webcast a week or so ago, but thought I'd open this up to anyone that might have questions on types of speakers and set-ups or why I said to stand clear of sound bars. I'm not an expert, but have had several different A/V receivers and various speaker configurations over the last 20 years or so. I'm sure others with some knowledge will also chime in to help you out.
  16. AAFES: (no tax) Xbox One - $429.95 w/ $50 GC Best Buy: Beats Solo - $79.99 Logitech G502 gaming mouse - $79.99 w/ $50 Steam game card NEX: (no tax) Kitchen Aid Food Processor- $99.99 North Face Apex Bionic Jacket - $89.99 Walmart: Nintendo 3DS XL Gold Edition - $149.96 And $40 worth of blu-rays wherever I can find the best deals (thanks to GD) Total= $969.87 and $30.13 in gas for all of the running around in my Batmobile (terrible gas milage). Grand Total= $1000
  17. I wouldn't shop on a smartphone unless you are mobile, such as standing in line somewhere. If at home, use your PC. PCs are much faster and easier to accomplish shopping (IMO). There is a little good news about shopping via phone; if a website is bogged down, sometimes their mobile site will get you through and let you get your purchase (true story). Don't give up if shopping online and plan ahead. You have most of the ads from GottaDeal so search them now to see what is available online. As Brad mentioned, you can't always load your cart now; the reason is that a lot of times items will have different 'SKUs' just for the BF sales. This is also true especially if the item has a gift card attached (I'm looking at you Best Buy).
  18. I have the Netgear Nighthawk 1900 as well. Best router I have owned and I have had plenty. I've had D-link, Linksys, Belkin and Netgear over the years. This one is the fastest and most stable one I've had. It replaced my D-link which I had to reboot once a month or so. I have a 3,000 foot home and no dead spots. I even get nice reception in my driveway, lol. I've seen this in the BF ads for about $150 this year and it is also highly recommended from PCmag (or was it CNET? lol).
  19. I gave Brad the NEX ad last night. He posted it this morning.
  20. So they look to be starting their sale on Wednesday? See local store for hours. No real doorbusters like they usually do (not that I shop there; just an observation). Weird.
  21. I'd like everyone to go back to Friday openings. I don't mind online, but stores should be closed people can enjoy the time with their families. The time slowly crept back the last couple of years as other stores tried to get you in their stores first; all for the dollar.
  22. Should be 8 PM ET, but is showing 9 PM. BJS said it will start at 7 PM CT; so any minute now.
