  1. Good info Brad. But if people are willing to risk it and wait, I have seen the PW for $89 several times this year. I'm pretty sure we will see it again.
  2. Good to hear from you Dev. We all go through tough times but sometimes we forget others do too (like our friends). Our prayers are with you and your family for a speedy recovery.
  3. I'll be at home watching the Redskins lose another game ( )as well, lol.
  4. The ad says they are open on Thanksgiving, but no hours listed. Like Brad said, more than likely, there are more pages to come.
  5. #1 The BOGO free socks you are looking for are over there! #2 With four boys, you can never have too many Nerf guns. #3 Come on, Honey. It's only 3 am; we've got a lot more shopping to do. I promise we will get you something.
  6. I don't PM much at Walmart anyways, but I wonder if they might bring it back briefly for the Christmas season? They would hate to lose sales at this time of year. The BF PM they did was hard to do anyways on tablets and such as the model numbers had to be identical (tried it with an iPad and though they were BOTH mini 2s (size and color), the numbers were different).
  7. Amazon will probably have them on sale for BF and another time before Christmas. They just had the Paperwhite, $119, for $89. I don't believe it has been cheaper than $89 before, so on BF it will probably be that again. Other Kindles go on sale too. Figure out which one you need ahead of time and start watching about a week prior to BF and watch through Christmas.
  8. If you have access to NEX/ AFFES (military only), they usually put all KA and accessories on sale for 20% off (unadvertised but in store) and they usually have a rebate. I was able to get my KA600Pro for about $270. It was $400 - 20%- $50 rebate. Good deal if you can get it.They had the 4.5 Classic for $180 and even as low as $160 after $20 rebate over the years. I recommend the 6 Qt Pro if you can afford it (and if you do a lot of baking). Holds more and stronger motor. I love mine; I upgraded from the 4.5 Qt Classic.
  9. Last year, BJS didn't arrive until November 7th. We may not hear anything for another week or so.
  10. Thanks for the links. My computer has an older IE browser and freezes up when trying to do links. It is not compatible to what GD is using, lol.
  11. Well, I know it seems I talked up the Echo, but they do the same things. If you have an A/V receiver or portable Bluetooth speaker, the Dot might be the way to go. I'm getting a Dot to put in another room and connect to my own speaker. It depends on if you are trying to fill the room with music or having it play in the background. The worst part about the Echo (and probably the Dot as well) is that they are NOT portable. Some 3rd parties have made portable batteries to attach to the Echo so you can move it and use it unplugged for a few hours. I plan to add this to my Echo so I can move it to the kitchen or dining room when needed.
  12. I have an Echo and will be getting a Dot to add to it. The Dot has a cheap internal speaker for answering questions and such and as mentioned by Bopeep, not really made for music. The good part, which I wish the Echo could do, is that it can connect to external speakers via cable or Bluetooth. The Echo's speaker is pretty good overall, but loses some clarity as the volume increases. With the Dot, you can connect it to your portable Bluetooth speaker. I'm looking forward to connect my new Dot to my stereo receiver so I can play my music through 'real' speakers. As for playing music, internally you can connect your Pandora, Spotify and iHeartRadio accounts. You just ask 'Echo, Play iHeartRadio' and it will play the last station you had it on. If you use Bluetooth to connect your iPad, you can stream your iTunes through the Echo. The only problem with doing so, is that it is only a speaker and you have to control the selections. If you have an Amazon Prime account, Echo will play any free music on Prime. It will also play any music you have through your Amazon account, but you have to be specific when playing from the two sources. If you say 'Echo, play Billy Joel music' Echo will play music from your ACCOUNT (if you have any). If you want it to play from Amazon's free Prime library, you have to say 'Echo, play Billy Joel on Amazon Prime'. Other than that, I use Echo to ask about the weather, news, sports and turn lights on and off. I need to install my thermostat now and this year I have a plug for my Christmas tree. I'll just say 'Alexa, tree lights on'. Man, I'm getting lazy, lol. (BTW, you have three names to choose from for the Echo)
  13. I just saw where Macy's will be opening at 5 PM on Thanksgiving Day this year. I can't post the link right now, but you can Google it. Saw it on MSN money page.
  14. I just hope the ads don't get deleted from the server or we have to wait until someone's tax returns are released.

  16. Is Big Jim Slade returning for more webcast? Hope to hear something soon.
  17. Didn't buy anything on the actual Prime Day. Bought Batman v Superman 3D blu-ray the day before through my Echo and got $10 off as part of the Prime deals.
  18. I would suggest next time just getting these items shipped home (if it's BF weekend). I know everyone wants it NOW, but they probably didn't have the manpower to pull products or care to; being that it was so busy. By the time they looked at items for in-store pick-up...they were probably out of stock. Sucks, but probably close to the truth.
  19. I got my Xbox One last year from Kohl's with $115 in KC. Bought a PS4 a few months ago for $299 w/ Last of US. For those referring to the PS4's Blu-ray playing ability... the Xbox One does too. In fact the XBO was the first to play blu-ray 3D. PS4 added it later.
  20. Funny thing...I got one day shipping on my camera because basically it came fro the next city over. I knew we had a Canon facility, but had no idea it would come from there, lol.
  21. Elmck.... As my signature mentions....' Don't get cancelled', lol. It stems from yearly cancellations. It used to be bad in the early days of online BF shopping, but has gotten better. I used to score Best Buy Doorbusters online and sometimes got cancelled. One year BB gave me a $100 credit for cancelling a DB laptop. I immediately bought another (and better) laptop for the same price as the DB after my $100 credit, lol. I've been cancelled just for the sake of not having something in stock as well (yet, I was able to order). I think that was AAFES one year. Either way... it happens. I think it's worse when your packages don't arrive. I had SEVEN packages not reach my home between BF and Christmas a few years ago. That is a HIGH ratio IMO. Complained to the postal service online and they act like there is nothing they can do. It's not like my packages were in the corner and misplaced... they were stolen by someone at the post office. Only happened when the package went through the central PO in the next city. If it came straight to my PO... no problem. Hmmm.
  22. A little late to the game, but here's what I picked up: EOS Rebel T5 with EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens (refurbished) for $199 (comes with same warranty as new) from Canon. Most places sold same one NEW for $399. Not the best, but nice enough for a gift for my son.
