I'd like everyone to go back to Friday openings. I don't mind online, but stores should be closed people can enjoy the time with their families. The time slowly crept back the last couple of years as other stores tried to get you in their stores first; all for the dollar.

Should be 8 PM ET, but is showing 9 PM. BJS said it will start at 7 PM CT; so any minute now.

Best Buy, Target, and Walmart

I liked the call-ins from a few years back; either for contest or discussion. When you are by yourself, it seems a little difficult to keep up with 'legitimate' questions in the chat because of other discussions and I think it slows things down. Problem is.... some people don't want to call or have the capability on their PCs. Maybe (if you use Skype or something) you could get a phone number with it; but that cost money ($3 a month or $30 a year). The other method of having a separate question or contest answer page is ok, but because everyone is 'chatting' I think people forget where they have to go to find the links or how to manage more 'windows' so they don't ask many questions 'outside' of the chat. It would be nice if you had 'hot buttons' or whatever you call them on the same page or in the video window to click when you have a question, kind of how they have them on YouTube. I know you don't have control over the capabilities of the streaming websites either. Thanks for listening to my rant . I know those are wishful thinking, but I also know this isn't a 'high-end' production and you do this out of your love for Black Friday. I love the show and will be back (gotta win a new Tshirt for this year ). No matter what changes or doesn't, the show must go on, lol. Glad you are doing it BJS. THANK YOU!

When do you need it? It seems like I just saw it for $60 or so (probably Amazon). If you are not in a hurry, you can wait for Black Friday. Ebay has one for $99 with free shipping.

DS got the iPhone 6 plus 64 GB for $175 (Reg. $399) after trading in his iPhone 5. Paid only $130 for his iPhone 5 two years ago, so he's happy. Battery life seems to be MUCH improved and gets better reception 'out in the sticks'.

Verizon is giving $200 trade-in credit (with two year contract of course) on iPhones 4/s and 5/s who upgrade to iPhone 6. That makes the basic 16GB model free. My DS is trying to decide between iPhone 6, the Plus version or a Note 3 or 4. Decisions... decisions.....

Instead of 'Keep Calm, it's only Black Friday' put 'Keep Calm, Shop on' and then the GD logo or something on the back.

My DW has been watching Christmas in July movies all month . I'm too busy thinking about what kind of deals we will get (wondering if Batman 1966 Blu-ray set will be on sale during BF considering it comes out two weeks prior) this BF.

As mentioned, the holiday deals are usually bundled. Watch for those. It might still be $499, but you will get more. In fact, I think Best Buy had it recently with a $50 Xbox live GC which can be used to buy movies and game DLC. Even Ebay has had this and the PS4 for $20 off or so recently. There will be deals. Just check back in the 'Black Friday' forum as we get closer to November.

Yeah, I have been looking at this all week. Nothing for me. I hate the term 'Black Friday' when used 'out of context , lol. I'm waiting for the 'real' Black Friday.

Do your show while you are online with Amazon waiting for the sale. Setup your tent, a grill, and a camping port a potty in your room and camp out in front of your computer and wait for the sale to start. (Open the window to give it that outdoor feeling )

Hence my tag line 'Don't get cancelled'. It refers to the many times over the years I have ordered online and had stuff cancelled during BF (though the truth be told, most of the cancelled items weren't supposed to be available online as doorbusters ). Anyways, last year was my first time as a Elite member and had no issues ordering what I wanted.

I got my DS one last year for $245 on an Amazon lightning deal; so yes...it could get better.

I didn't really miss much other than standing in line at Best Buy and such. Our local NEX (military store on base) had BF too. The deals weren't quite as good as those by BB, Target, & Walmart, but deals could be had (Beats Solo last year for $139 and Xbox360 4GB for $99). With the 6 hours difference I was able to shop online and go stand in the 'much shorter' line at the NEX, lol. It still wasn't quite the same though. Before that I was in Diego Garcia and Japan. Japan was similar to Spain with the NEX and DG was online only shopping (but my son was in the states proxy for me ). It's been 8 years since I could do my own 'real' shopping and I'm ready (though my son wants to bail and go to the outlets ). The only issue I have with my return is that there is nothing I really need. I'll find something just so I can stand in line somewhere, lol.
