  1. http://familyfun.go.com/assets/cms/recipes/marshmallow-pilgrim-hats-thanksgiving-recipe-photo-80-FF1101THANKA17.jpg I haven't tried these yet, but they will be on this year's list of desserts. If nothing more they'll be a fun recipe to try with my godson with the added bonus of being delicious too. How can you go wrong with chocolate and marshmallows? Marshmallow Pilgrim Hats Ingredients 24 chocolate-striped shortbread cookies 12-ounce package of chocolate chips 24 marshmallows tube of yellow decorators' frosting Instructions Set the chocolate-striped cookies stripes down on a wax-paper-covered tray, spacing them well apart. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. One at a time, stick a wooden toothpick into a marshmallow, dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate, and promptly center it atop a cookie. Using a second toothpick to lightly hold down the marshmallow, carefully pull out the first toothpick. Chill the hats until the chocolate sets, then pipe a yellow decorators' frosting buckle on the front of each hat.
  2. wowserz! Can I come? I would at least have some dessert to eat:)
  3. it depends on what they have on offer and what everyone else has but I doubt I'll be stopping by there on BF.
  4. I think it would really depend on how much food you're making. We usually have at least 20 over and have more than enough with 3 pies/cakes because people fill up on turkey other stuff. We usually have lots left over. My mom usually makes a Cheesecake and either a pecan liquor pie of some sort or a pumpkin cake from Pillsbury and my aunt usually brings a plain pumpkin pie. There's always left over including usually the whole (or most of) the pumpkin pie.
  5. That would be one way of getting your item at discounted rate especially if they have customer service desk open during sale hours which is unlikely. You'll probably have to rebuy at PM amount and return the original later in the day if finances/quantities allow. I think the point Riven3d was trying to make is that the Christmas Guarantee does not apply to BF prices but that PM will be allowed on BF as always.
  6. it's money to spend you didn't have before EVEN if it's tied to Walmart
  7. thank you kindly sir...does this mean the coupon booklets for BF are in-store already?
  8. I wouldn't mind it if they all agreed or staggered more closely than midnight then 4am.
  9. going by the amount of posts on here not too many are taken..I keep checking for Brad's update on whats OOS but nothing yet, wonder if he's reviewed anything:P
  10. I'm not a toy fanatic or anything but they appear to sell these things on Toysrus as well as ebay used:) Kinda scary considering I found a video online from 2007. Looks like they're $8.99 each so I'm not sure if set ones are smaller or just better value. There's also play sets available on Amazon. 11. I disagree, especially if you get a great deal on them. I only give GC to dear friends(when I don't know what to get) OR difficult recipients (when I have gotten them free or as a gift). It can be impersonal if not catered to recipient and specifically relating to Christmas I dislike getting people something they can't do anything with immediately. At least a bluray/dvd they can look at liner notes/booklet.
  12. I think you just have to see them displayed and read reviews THEN choose based on your preferences. We got one at Target after xmas a few years ago, I think it's not prelit but either way if a strand of lights goes out you either just unplug or throw on matching lights(multi color or white).
  13. i will if I remember to look
  14. used store locator on website and it came up with an Amerilumber quite close by, wonder if they'll have BF stuff...
  15. Woohoo....I'll hold off on my returns til Monday then :)
  16. not at Walmart. My bff and her husband got extra discounts at BestBuy from the guy in the phone department when they upgraded though. I would think any additional discount would need to be authorized by a manager though.
  17. Not crazy about this but maybe a good idea for my brother if it still shows available tomorrow morning.
  18. I wouldn't mind one bit, I think so long as you cater it to the person it shouldn't matter. I mean who cares if a nice scarf came from a macy's sale or from nordstrom regular rack if it's nice and appropriate to recipient?
  19. No problem, I almost ordered a few of each doll in case they sold out could help ppl out on here or sell on ebay but decided against it for now.
  20. I'll probably miss this one since Comcrap has been playing up all day. It's all good though, they're sending someone on Tuesday so they can explain to me (and correct) the fact that my service goes in and out several times a day at least once every other week or so.......
  21. We've never separated gift days, we open our gifts in the morning and then we have a get together with most of the rest of family and exchange gifts then.It was always 1 gift for kids not in the immediate family (cousins, nephew, etc) and the only real difference is my bff's kids. It just depends what I can find and what they like on how much they get. I think last year I showed up with an Old Navy paper bag of gifts for each child including pj's and slippers for each(probably 4-6 gifts each). I know I should cut back since they have family bringing them gifts too and not loads of space but I just can't help it:P I would love to spoil my nephew but stick to just 1 gift since his parents see no problem spending $xxx's on one top but then turn around and request money for the child's gift. I know they won't appreciate it whatsoever and will probably even actively encourage him to not play with gifts from our side of the family but I REFUSE to give a child money for Christmas.
  22. I think that's the boxed dimensions..there's no way with that size it'd cover a bed like that.
  23. they have a cc you get points with which count towards discount certificates(similar to BB but you have yo use CC) and I believe they have senior discount day midweek if you can drag a parent along. I find they have good everyday prices but usually find things cheaper elsewhere.
