5 young nephews and a big family - all overseas

Bionicals are great! Lots of different colors and shapes and you can usually get them at WalMart/Target/TRU for about $6-8 each! Shipping chocolate is hard, because it is warm there and the box might have to sit for a week or so in customs, etc. You might want to check with something like "Harry and David" or some other major shipper and buy a gift pack from them and let them ship it if possible. They will package it so it will get through customs better. Plan to ship early -- if you wait until after Thanksgiving, it might not make it there if you are not sending to a Military address. Even military addresses need to be sent by early December! HTH June -
My Walmart stopped taking printed coupons that I get from my newspapers website or ANY manufacturors website! That is really a pain! I usually get great coupons from Blue Bunny that I can print and they are the only ones around that carry that ice cream!

Ethical Question on pricing at WalMart
kjunea replied to SoCalCyclist's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I would get them. Walmart has always honored it for me! And at Krogers, if it scans the wrong price, you get the item and your money back! (if you've already paid.) I love when that happens! -
Gee, does it come in adult sizes? I'm a princess at heart (on a begger's budget!)

Thanks so much! That's a great deal on the Tonka Trucks!

Kohl's toy sets are always a little different than you will find anywhere else. They will have extra pieces and more parts to sets. I know that I bought the FP Castle set and it had extra characters and extra castle parts that you had to pay separate for at other stores like Walmart, etc. When you take into account the extra goodies with the 50% off, you wind up getting a pretty good deal. One of my fav black friday stores always had a cracker jack promo on BF. They put discounts/prizes in the packages and the rest was breakfast! Worked for me! I would actually go in the mall door and the outside door and get 2! But now I've moved to Nashville and the store was sold and is now a Belk's so I don't know if they will do it again.

I just moved and I used to get these all the time! I don't know if it will forward to my new address (which in itself is only temporary, since I am living with my mom until my house is finished in about a month). I wonder if I should call Penney's and let them know? June

Thanks!

My ds got one this Christmas also. He's almost 3 and it goes fast enough for him. (Only 31 pounds, so doesn't go as fast!) He zooms around the house (small enough to make it down halls, etc) and loves the Driveway with it, wearing his helmet! June -
"HOTTEST BUY" for the 2005 season?

Great going!! My ham from Honeybaked will cost more than that! June -
It depends on the cookie. On cookies that are supposed to sit in the frig, I wouldn't let them come to room temp. On those that you normally mix up and bake, I would let it get to room temperature or close to room temperature before baking. I know when I make cheesecakes, I get all my cold ingrediants (eggs, cream cheese, sour cream) to room temp before making them. Makes the cheesecakes lighter and fluffier. HTH June

12 yr old stepson asked for Bionicles and games for his gamecube. He still loves legos, especially the bionicles and the Harry Potter ones.

Congrats! I know how it feels! I found the DDR Mario Mix a few days ago finally! Completed my step-kids Christmas with that! June

I just got mine at Target on Monday. Had been checking there and Walmart for 3 weeks everyday! Then, yesterday, saw one at Sears! My suggestion is call places and have them hold them. My WalMart said they are expecting more this week. Target had told me they were "hoping" to get more. Both places had said they had not had a shipment of them since the first shipment back in October. I also had backordered it through Bestbuy.com. The email that I had gotten from them indicated they expected to be able to ship this week. (I canceled my order since I found one.) Price at Target was $49.99 plus tax and included one dance mat and the game! Hope that helps! June

Okay, I was up on the site at 6:30 and it looked like you could buy it then!

Lovely recipes. Here are two that I make quite often (not at the same time, though). They are not hard and quite tasty, but you have to put them together that morning. Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Bake 2 Cans Refrigerated Crescent Rolls 1 8 ounce block cream cheese, softened 1 pound of sausage, browned and drained Preheat oven to 350o. Spray a 9X 13 pan with cooking spray. Unroll one crescent dough can into the pan. Pinch all seams together so they do not separate. Spread half of the cream cheese block on the dough. Cover the cheese with the browned and drained sausage. Spray a piece of wax paper with cooking spray. Unroll the other crescent dough onto the wax paper, pinching the seams together. Spread the other half of the cream cheese on the dough. Flip the dough into the pan, so that the cheese is on top on the sausage. Peel off the wax paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. You can add scrambled eggs to the sausage before you cover it for a complete breakfast sandwich. Cinnamon Cream Cheese Biscuits 1 10 count Buttermilk Biscuit 1 8 ounce block of cream cheese, cut into 10 cubes Cinnamon Sugar (Sugar mixed with Cinnamon to taste) Chopped Pecans 1/3 cup melted butter Pat out one biscuit to about 3-4 inch diameter. Roll one cube of cream cheese in the butter and then in cinnamon sugar. Put it in center of rolled out biscuit. Add some chopped chopped pecans. Pull up sides and seal like a little pouch. Place in muffin pan. Continue until all 10 biscuits have been done. Sprinkle left over sugar and pecans over the top of the pouches. Bake at 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. I also will put a little water in the 2 muffin tins that are empty to keep the pan from warping while cooking. Enjoy! June

Will be returning a couple of movies (hubby bought them too) and the Walmart portable DVD player. It is not what hubby wanted, so we are taking it back and waiting for a better one to come along. June

PMed Cinderella DVD to $8.99 (Circuit City) Then had a $3.00 coupon! $5.99 plus tax! Yeah for me! June

I got hit on the head by 2 cabbage patch dolls at wallyworld. But that was all. Made the mistake of being right by the pallet when they opened it and every one snatched and grabbed! The associates there (who were very nice) were trying to hand the dolls to people, but people pushed and shoved and grabbed and threw them to each other! And then there was electronics.... I DIDN't even try to go in there! I heard screaming and yelling and gripping half a store a way! Yuck! June

Care Bears were on an end unit between toys and sporting goods, almost near storeroom entrance. They were marked $14.99 or something like that. I've already bought two, but "plan" on buying two more Friday and taking those two back. June

Mine had the TVs, DVD players, sewing machines in one of the main isles.... Didn't look like a lot of any of them, except the DVD players. June

Well... I went to WalMart today to try to scope out where everything is going to be. I found the Care Bears, but not the Cabbage Patch Newborns or the Jeep. Waited for 20 minutes till some little guy finally (after 4 pages) shows back up in the toy department. He says he is clueless (this, I believe) and has no idea what is on sale on Friday. Where did I get ad? "In Mail today." (truth, it came today!) I think he wouldn't find his head in a hollow drum..... Guess I'll be there at 3:00ish. At least it will be warm inside that SuperWalmart. If I have chance, will mosey over tomorrow night and check out where what is... Ah, the joys of having a 2 1/2 year old, and lots of nieces and nephews. June
