  2. Again, just so everyone knows the plans for online BF shopping here on the site: 1. We'll set up a temporary sub-forum about a week or so before BF where we'll post threads for each store's online BF sale, including exact days/times that the online sales will start. This is always the most popular forum the week of BF. This forum will also have Cyber Monday sale information. You can discuss each store's online sale in it's own dedicated thread. 2. We'll have a page set up that will show all the items you can buy online at the BF ad prices at that time. We'll update this page continuously (we have a lot of helpers for this) from Wednesday through Saturday. Also, when you browse the lists of ad items on the site, items with a blue shopping cart icon can be ordered online at the ad price. So just keep coming to the site (and forums) and you won't miss anything. We cover the online BF sales more thoroughly than any other site.

  13. no winners yet, and no re-dos if you pick the same number as someone else...
  14. about to go to post office to ship some of the BF survival kits out to winners. i'll add one more with a quick contest right now. i'm thinking of a number between 34 and 53. first person to post that number (who hasn't already won a kit) wins it. one guess per person. and if you make a guess, stick around on the forum to see if you win. the winner has 10 minutes to reply to the PM i send them otherwise i'm leaving and you aren't getting your kit
  15. yeah, for those specific 25 stores, there is even more of a reason now to be in the first 50

I'm sure they will come in handy for many of us over the next two months The next contest is already up: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=155485 And I believe bigjimslade will be having another contest starting in the next day or two, so stay tuned for that :)
  18. CONTEST OVER! HOW TO WIN: There are 3 photos below that were taken on Black Friday last year and used in various news stories. Come up with your best humorous caption for each photo and post them in this thread. Be sure to label each caption based on the photo number (1,2 and 3). Only post one caption per photo - mutliple captions will not count. PHOTO #1 http://www.gottadeal.com/images/caption1.jpg PHOTO #2 http://www.gottadeal.com/images/caption2.jpg PHOTO #3 http://www.gottadeal.com/images/caption3.jpg Entries will be accepted until 10pm ET on Sunday, November 8th. At that point I'll choose my 3 favorite sets of captions based on overall how funny I think they are as a group. In case you lack a sense of humore, I'll also choose 3 more sets at random from the remaining entries and all 6 winners will receive BF survival kits! Good luck to all!

  20. OK, first week of November. Based on past years, we should get some nice ads over the next week. Maybe Kmart, Walgreens and Lowes has their "sneak preview" on their site this week.

    Weekly secret Items

I checked the archives from last year. The in-store deals were posted Wednesday most weeks and were good in stores Saturday. The online-only deals were posted around 3am CT Saturday mornings from mid-October through BF. We were told these were going to start this week, so maybe the day has moved to Sunday (or Monday) this year. The last e-mail I have from their affiliate dept. says the first holiday promotion will start on Monday, Nov 1. Well Monday is the 2nd, so either they mean tomorrow or Monday.

    Weekly secret Items

The online-only specials always started around 5-6am last year. As for the in-store "secret" items, I have no idea. I thought those were always posted earlier (Friday?) and were valid that weekend. Maybe look through last year's forum archives and see if you find something (and report back here when you do!)
  23. From what I remember, the discounts in the BF ad are usually deeper than the toy book. Most of the doorbusters are of the 50% off variety where the toy book usually is full of smaller discounts and many items are advertised at their regular prices in there as well - not the case with the BF ad.
  24. So BB might have a similar one for less. But it would likely involve camping out on Thursday to get it, while OM won't have anywhere near the lines as BB. As with all BF deals, it's a question of how much your time is worth.
