Got lots of birthday parties in the summer and these would make a-list gifts!yeah, they stayed 50% here too. the markdown team was surprised as well. and so begins the dragging out of the toy clearance for weeks and weeks :) !I think it might be because they brought them all out at 50%. They had none in most of our stores for weeks, then suddenly showed up with tons. Makes me wonder if they had a manufacturing glitch that had them delivered quite late. is this around the time that toys go on clearance again???Nope, it starts in July and hits 75% during the first or second week of August. I was completely overwhelmed and really just did not have the heart to dig through it today. Didn't look like they planned to mark any of that stuff down today and they still had plenty of wipes though not much as far as diapers went. The clothes had already been marked though...... I was kind of excited thinking I would get it at 90%...didn't scan it, though. It rang up FULL PRICE! I didn't notice at the time b/c I had a ton of coupons that I was orgainzing. I went straight to the customer service desk and asked her but she wouldn't give it to me at 90%, so I returned it. Our clearance cleaning products were still on the shelf with little "clearance" tags on the shelf. I felt like I was on a scavenger hunt! Annoying! Most was 15-30%, but I got a couple of good deals with coupons. And my humidifier is STILL on 30% off...there are 8 of them on the shelf and they have been 30% for at least a month now. Maybe internet returns? Regardless, they are still cheaper than standard dvd and look great on the big screen! I would have waited for 75%, but my daughter actually came down with a cold last night, so the timing was right. I also got a couple of bottles of Pantene shampoo...marked down to $1.88 each, but both had Target Coupon peelies and I used a Pantene coupon as well...got both bottles for $.76! Also got some Nexcare bandaids marked 50% off and used a coupon. I'm also really loving the Swiffer gift card promotion when combined with the Swiffer rebate, but I guess that is more for the "weekly deals" thread. One more thing...last week there was a TON of makeup at 30% off in the makeup section. I was waiting for it to go down to 50% off b/c I had some coupons that would have made for really great deals. But, this week...it was all gone! Vanished! They must have boxed it up b/c there was way too much sitting there for it all to have been purchased.
