Easiest person to buy for? My son 9. Do you have a nativity scene? yes 10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? anything my ex mother in law got me... lol. 11. Favorite Christmas Movie? It's a wonderful life 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? the day after Christmas.. 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Sure have!!! 15. Favorite thing to do at Christmas? spend time with family and friends.... 16. Lights on the tree? Absolutely - white lights..... 17. Favorite Christmas song? I'll be home for Christmas 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Travel locally.... 19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen, but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph the red nosed reindeer... 20. Angel on the tree top or a star? One year my parents took me and my sisters to Maine the day after Christmas where we stayed in a cabin and it was so much fun. 7. Hardest person to buy for? My dad. I try to think of creative things to get him and he doesn't end up using any of it. 8. Easiest person to buy for? Probably my older sister 9. Do you have a nativity scene? Nope 10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Nothing really. 11. Favorite Christmas Movie? Home Alone 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Sometime in November 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Nope 15. Favorite thing to do at Christmas? Chinese food!! 16. Lights on the tree? Yes. 17. Favorite Christmas song? Silent Night 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay home 19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel 21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? We open gifts from other family members on Christmas Eve and we open our main gifts on Christmas morning. 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? It's busy at work. 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Gold. 24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? We've always had turkey. We might try prime rib this year. 25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I really want a video camera and drums. Really, I'm not that picky. I'm happy with whatever I get. Lights on the tree? yes, and the color depends on what I Feel like 17. Favorite Christmas song? too many...depends again, on what I feel like. 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? stay home 19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? maybe...but not going to try... 20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Angel made by my dd when she was 4 21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? we start probably anytime after turkey day, depending on the presents we are giving....only one at a time... 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? people who give gifts because they think they need to give a gift 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? My favorite ornament is this odd gnome dude sitting on this odd foil covered circle...it was on my tree as a kid and it was my favorite and so I took it from my parents! 24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? depends..but you have to have stuffing! 25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Probably some ugly figurine that didnt match anything in my house LOL 11. Favorite Christmas Movie? Miracle on 34th Street 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually start in October 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No 15. Favorite thing to do at Christmas? Shop and just enjoy the shopping scene and festivities 16. Lights on the tree? Yes, only white. Artificial, they dry out too quickly in our altitude and dryness 3. When do you put up the tree? As soon as possible 4. When do you take the tree down? About a month after Christmas if DH doesn't take it down first. 5. Do you like eggnog? Yes! 6. Favorite gift received as a child? There are soo many to choose from...I can't pick just one. 7. Hardest person to buy for? My Brother, especially when he is deployed (Army) 8. Easiest person to buy for? My Husband and my Mom 9. Do you have a nativity scene? yes 10. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? None 11. Favorite Christmas Movie? White Christmas 13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Targets toy clearance in January for Angel tree gifts. Around September for everyone else. If I buy too early, I want to give the gift to them then. 14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No, the gifts I receive are from people who know me well, so I always enjoy them. 15. Favorite thing to do at Christmas? Spend time with my husband and Mom and Dad if they can visit. I enjoy doing the Angel trees and when they light the Flagstaff Star on the mountains in my town. 16. Lights on the tree? Yes, Multi Colored and white lights 17. Favorite Christmas song? "White Christmas" and "Its Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas" and "The Christmas Song" .....almost all of them actually! 18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Stay at home 19. Santa puts out the presents Christmas Eve and we open them Christmas morning after our Christmas Stockings. 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? People complaining about Christmas 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Homemade family ornaments,ornaments passed down from generation to generation and store bought ornaments that remind us of a special moment or person. I also like vintage glass ball ornaments in all different colors. We really don't have a theme. 24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? Ham and Turkey with my Dads Mashed Potatoes!!! (tons of butter) This year on Christmas Eve, Mom and I are going to surprise my Husband and Dad with a seafood platter from Whole Foods that has Lobster Claws and Shrimp and we're going to add King Crab Legs to it. They work hard all year and we wanted to do something special for Christmas Eve. 25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I want the weather to cooperate for my parents drive from Ohio to Colorado and then a White Christmas with my Husband, Mom and Dad and the doggies. I also want my Brother and his new family to have a safe and happy Christmas. My Mother is very passive agressive so one year she got me a black, polyester blouse with neon paisley print, size 26W (I was a 14-16)because "you've gotten so fat and black is slimming". This is so hard, three way tie -It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year-Andy Williams, Hark The Herald Angels Sing, Charlie Brown/Vince G and Winter Wonderland-Carpenters, but really I enjoy almost every version of it. 18. Angel in livingroom, *sometimes a SNOWMAN, Star in playroom 21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? This varies from year to year. My family always did it Christmas Eve and it has been next to impossible to get my husband to change on this. A few times he has let me have my way, but he wasn't a happy man. We exchange at my sisters Christmas Day afternoon... 22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Too Short! 23. Favorite ornament theme or color? gold and dark red or red. 24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? Homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. 25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Not that I am likely to get these things, but..probably a new couch for living room, a day alone with my DH. Favorite gift received as a child? Doll furniture that my mother made out of clorox bottles and thread spools, etc. (she upholstered them and everything) 7. Hardest person to buy for? Mom 8. My Aunt will not have her daughter, Laura will not have her sister, and Joe will not have his wife. I wish that when people are so concerned with themselves and cursing the holidays for being too expensive or that people are too hard to buy for or that there are too many demands on their time please realize that my cousin's children will never be able to buy back their mother's life and the time they had with her will never be long enough. Tomorrow would have been Lisa's 30th birthday, if you are lucky enough to have reached your 30th birthday or have seen your son's first day of kindergarten or your daughter's first school dance these are things that Lisa never got to experience. Lights on the tree? yes lots of them. I usually wrap it with white twinkling lights and then red/green lights. The fauceted kind so they sparkle more. 17. Christmas lights up too early and people starting the Christmas season too early - can't we wait until at least after Thanksgiving for the decorations??? 23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
