Brad Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Scans: http://www.blackfridayvip.com/scans/GottaDeal-OfficeDepot.pdf Because of OD's fetish for sending their lawyers after all the sites, year after year, this ad isn't getting the same treatment as the others this year, so download the scan and we probably won't post the listing on the BF site until closer to BF, if at all...
gim77 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Thanks Brad, looks like OD took the lead for me.
The End Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Finally, an ad with a 1TB external HD. I might just swing by OD on BF. Thanks for posting the ad.

wnielsen1 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The Canon SX10 IS Digital Camera is actually $349.99 at OD ($399.99 less $50 instant savings). Not that this changes anything. You gotta love shopping at the Egg.

Aaron Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 GASP!!!!! The laptop deal is better than Best Buy's!!!!!!!! OH NOES!!!! Wait a min.....are there rebates??The one thing you have to watch out for with Office Depot is some of their items say "Minimum 2 Per Store" or something along those lines - meaning they aren't planning to stock many of those items (like the laptops, etc)
deelite Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 The one thing you have to watch out for with Office Depot is some of their items say "Minimum 2 Per Store" or something along those lines - meaning they aren't planning to stock many of those items (like the laptops, etc) Yeah i saw that. Plus looks like there are rebates on the laptop which I need two of. It will be impossible to get two if they are rebates and are 1 per household. I still want a few things though.
crazypurgatory Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 well it's looks like I'm going to go for the Acer 22 inch widescreen LCD monitor for $129.99 it's the next level up from 720p.:)
Tigger97498 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 im going for the 22 inch computer monitor. Question of the day has anyone ever shopped BF online for office Depot? If so what time and day do they start? If they start on turkey day night then I might get it online but if if it doesnt i'll just lineup early.
Tigger97498 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 can anyone read the fine print on the Acer monitor? It looked like it said 1 per store but surely not that would be insanity.
gim77 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 can anyone read the fine print on the Acer monitor? It looked like it said 1 per store but surely not that would be insanity. It looks like a typo. I think it says "Limit 3 per Household. Minimum 1 Per Store." The numbers should be switched if it's anything like the rest of the ad.

dbaby4ever Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Can anybody tell what that coupon says? Is it $15 off a min purchase or on none sale items or what?
crazypurgatory Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 It's funny how people don't take pride in there Black Friday ad post's.LOL Just scan it then we can see everything and no flash.:) As for what time to get there I would say early Friday morning I have never seen campers or very long lines. At most around 30-40 people by the time the doors open up.
Cindyseattle Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Can anyone make out the details on the $379 laptop and the $599 desktop on the front page of the ad? I know that both say after XX instant but I'm sure they both have mail in rebates but was wondering how much. The light off the flash kind of obscured it..LOL. Good ad though..best so far from me and OD is only 5 miles from my house. I really might need a new desktop since mine just got infected with a worm off facebook!!

The laptop is an hp 3 gig ram 160 gig hard drive intel pentium dual core processor. It's 349.99 after 250 in savings. If you notice at the top of adobe acrobat reader where the pdf file opened up in you should have a way to magnify the page to see it closer. It's still very hard to read. But that is what I could make out of it. I hope that's what it states for part of the specs. I'd like to know when this store opens though. The ad states nothing about the time it opens. Unless I could not see that either. I wear glasses for reading so my eyes are pretty bad. :)

Marcster Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 If you look at the top of page 3 it says Stores open 6am Friday Which is the exact same hour that they've been opening for past BFs. It's OfficeMax that opens at 7 am.
nikkilugi Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 OD's rebates take forever to get in my experience - however I am seeing some nice deals in this ad (from what I can see, LOL). It will definitely be a stop for me!
deelite Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 OD's rebates take forever to get in my experience - however I am seeing some nice deals in this ad (from what I can see, LOL). It will definitely be a stop for me! I hate rebates soooo much and have never BF'd at Office Depot before, so I think I am skipping it for the lappy. I don't even know if they give out tickets for the 5 they may have. I would rather spend the extra $30 at (unnamed store..lol) where I know they give out tickets AND I get money back for shopping. But I do see some things I want to stop in for later. Hopefully they will let me buy the few items I want online.
RaineeDay1 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I HATE rebates on BF.. the point of saving so much is soI cans pend MORE.. why do a rebate that will take 2 months to get back if ever? no thanks
billcsho Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 (edited) The last time I did OD rebates for for the TI-84 plus SE calculator bought in early September. I got both rebates in 5 weeks after submission. It has been greatly improved from 2 years ago. I got $700+ in rebates from BF2006 and $250+ from BF2007. This year I may do even much less. I already have 2 rebates at risk due to CPG bankruptcy. Edited November 19, 2008 by billcsho
crazypurgatory Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 O no I'm just looking at the ad and it does not say it's a Wide screen. I guess I have to wait till the ad comes out so I can see the model number.
jelee3 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I agree the rebates have improved. I did an office depot rebate in August on a new HP laptop and got the rebate back in 5 1/2 weeks.

Our Office Depot isn't ever really very busy so maybe I can get lucky there.
