Gamestop has been doing this for years. They never discount new because they hardly make margin on it. They have more leverage with their used games which is why they are always discounted this time of year.

I did most of my shopping online before Black Friday at Kohls, Ny and Company and Amazon. I went to the Tanger Outlets at 4am, mainly for the 50% off the entire store at Banana Republic. Ended up getting two full bags of clothes and saved $310 dollars which was amazing. The store was completely wrecked though with no associates on the floor. Then went to Famous footwear and got 20% off two pairs of running sneakers and two pairs of dress shoes for a $70 savings. Then went to Goldtoe, bought a bag full of socks and saved another $20. I then went to Wilsons Leather and bought a wallet for 30% off. Done in about 2 hours and went to 5 stores. Saved close to $500 today!

It's usually B2G1 on used video games and a couple of new game sales, probably the ones that are being repeated i.e. Left for dead 2 etc. This has been the trend for the past couple of years.

Gamestop never has "doorbuster" ads. It's great if your looking to get good deals from a smaller location without unbelievable lines. Your in and out in at most 30 minutes.

It looks like a typo. I think it says "Limit 3 per Household. Minimum 1 Per Store." The numbers should be switched if it's anything like the rest of the ad.

The US proposal calls for this reporting to take place only when people sell more than several thousand dollars worth of merchandise in a year. That came from the article. It is true that you do not have to report earnings of $600 or less from resale as well. The Government is cracking down on the peddlers who are powerselling goods and not reporting the thousands they make. The government is also fighting to tax online goods as well. If someone is buying a Wii to sell it on ebay for $200 profit they can do so, and the ethical card would come in if they KNEW that the person behind them was a parent who can't get their children the gift, but coming from experience every line ive stood in on thanksgivings and black friday's, I always here people asking if they could sell that on Ebay and make money. So giving up your spot in line or ticket may be giving it to a ebayer or reseller. The word ethical in business is not black and white. Is it unethical for Wal-Mart to charge $700 for a bundled wii? If you were in their shoes would you do it?, and remember that the shareholders are breathing down your neck. Like another person stated, it's a capatilistic society. These people are working five times as hard as any of us, standing in the cold for 3 days straight just to make $200. Questioning how the person will use their purchase or how the person may be "stealing" the gift away from your family is pretty selfish to me.
