My parents never did stockings for us when we were little, but I do them for my family now. They don't get filled until Christmas Eve. I know some people give their stockings on St. Nicholas's arrival, which if I'm not mistaken is somewhere around December 7th? I think this is mostly a Catholic thing, but I could be wrong. What do you do?
I never had a stocking when I was growing up either. I have always done stockings for my family and our dogs. As the kids are getting older they keep getting more expensive, but I love filling them on Christmas Eve.

I had a stocking growing up! It was my favorite! It was always a treasure chest to me:D
I now do a stocking for my son and boyfriend:)
I do however need ideas to fill them with - any suggestions? So far I have for the boyfriend dvd's, socks, but I have no clue what else (I have never did a stocking for him before his parents do them every year (cologne, deoderant, candy, boxers, toothbrush, shampoo, and some other stuff, but this year I want to do one too but of course different things then his parents)
how about razor refills, .22 shells, small maglite, gift card to his favorite fast food, video game, what about making him an iou book?

Somewhere on here, in another thread, is a whole big list of stuffer ideas. I was asking for suggestions for kids in K and 1st grade specifically because I'm providing the goody bags for both my kids' classes (and a few extras) so it's going to be a total of 50 or so. Problem is, I can't find the list...
Here's the thread:
