lovetoshopCA Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 Yes i hit pay dirt today.Went to target to peruse and they were marking down the bulk stuff from 15-30% off.Soaps, cerals, even toilet paper.Who knew TP would go out of style.(LOL). combine those prices with coupons and the clipless coupons i got alot of great bargains.Alot of the bulk soaps and cleaners came with freebies samples on them.Yup! Two years ago, I got some great chairs etc at 75% off. Last year when it went 50%, I waited and watched carefully. The day I went back and it had just changed to 75%, almost everything was GONE! This year, depending on my schedule, I may buy some at 30% because there are some great things that caught my eye. I do not want to lose out if they go just as quickly this year. First off, why would that be and secondly, are department markdowns weekly or every other week. All my stores have anywhere from 4-10 of them. Cman experts, chime in.. I need some feedback.... These had been $9.98 at my target for awhile, (since the toy markdown) and they had lots of them. Wasn't sure which one to buy last week and I opted for the desk since it was so cute and I knew my girls would prefer to sit down and draw rather than stand, but yesterday I went back to try to find 2 of them and they were all gone, but I did manage to get 2 of the easels with the chalkboard in one side for $4.98 . TIA!I was able to get Downy,it was 6.78 minus .50 man Q and the clipless $1 Q making the 120 use $5.28.Colgate TP was $3.40 and a man Q for .75 making it $2.65 for 3 boxes.Cascade was $4.07 minus .50 clipless Q and a $1 man Q making it $2.57 for 100 oz.Color clorox bleach was $6.78 for a gaint bottle minus a .50 man Q making it $6.28 not a great bargain but i needed it and it was better than full price.Dawn simple pleasures dish soap that new one with the airfreshner on the bottom and it smells nice in the kitchen to was $2.84 minus a $1.00 man Q and .50 clipless Q making it $1.34.Anyways i think you get the point.Oh yeah one last bargain was a 4 pack of clorox toliet bowl cleaner after $1.00 man Q i paid $3.24.They also had bounty,suave,crest TP, scott TP,charmin TP,and much more icant remember.GL.Oh yeah and a little off subject my target has Trop OJ on sale for 3 for $5.98.Using 3 target $1 off and a Man Q for $1 off 3 i paid $2 for 3 1/2 galls. Dora came with mine, and I found the Pooh book, but I would like more. Are these only around for Christmas '07? Has anyone seen them before? I am afraid that they will be gone forever and we will only have the 2 books. Seems like a better investment if we have more books to go with this. I see wal-mart clearancing the projectors, too. They didn't seem to have any books though.I haven't see any of the books in a while, I know the books were clearance a while back, I believe in July - I bought Nemo, Alladin and a few others and put them away at that time I didn't even have the projector. When the projector started to be clearanced out it was gone before I can get one. Then when they started putting the "holiday toys" up in November I ended up buying the projector at full price for ds for christmas - needless to say, I found it at 75% last week so the one I bought full price will be going back. traveljunkie Posted January 16, 2008 Share Posted January 16, 2008 Boulderchick, we are close to each other -- I'm in Broomfield -- I went to Target "just to get Saline" haha - $62. later and 1 1/2 hours.... here's the bulk I remember: Scott T.P. & papertowels Shout with a spray bottle & refill Crest & Colgate toothpaste (3 per pack) nature valley granola bars facial tissue (can't remember brand), 4 pack Clorax 4 pack wipes Ziploc gallon size bags (2 pack) Ziploc I think it was 1 snack size & 2 sandwich size boxes together There were 2-3 different laundry detergents 15% off but I can't remember brands Listerene 1 reg. size & smaller some diapers, various sizes of Huggies Softsoap, I think it was 3 packs Liquid dishsoap (can't remember brand) These were with the groceries but my store had tons of Kuners black beans, southwest style & refried marked "as is" .26 There were 4-5 racks of kids clothes for 75% off...I was good and only got 2 things from there.
