onecutemoocow Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I really cant wait until the day after Christmas to go out shopping! Everyone usually does the 50% off right away. This is one of the times I will hit up walmart for clearance!! Then prolly go to Target, then Kohl's. Yeay! Stock up for next year! The next best thing besides BF!!!
beccas302 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I can't wait either! I told DH that we were going to the super walmart the day after Christmas (it's abotu 45 minutes away). My aunt sent us a walmart gift card, and I'm planning on putting a dent into next year's gifts!
elena_398 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I stand in line at my Walmart every year. By the time they open, there is roughly 50++ people. After Walmart, I head to Target. Can't wait
lexyreyes72 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Is there a website or thread that posts after-Christmas deals? My BFF and I are ready to get some bargains!!!
ohitsunshine Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I am so excited! I love to pick up my Christmas Cards for the next year. Does Target go 50% right away?
mollannie Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Target goes 50% the day after and 75% 4 days after which would be Saturday!!! 90% on New Years Day. But, by then, nothing good left. Merry Christmas to All!!!!!!!!
Marcster Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Wal-mart's & Sam's Club's After-Christmas sale are always good for gift sets.
Steakgoddess Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 We will be traveling home that day, so this will be the first time in a long, long time that I won;t be able to shop that day.
lisamag Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 i love it! 2 yrs ago i got some great wrapping paper that was 75% off it was 75ft long i paid like $3.00 for them and i'm still using it. can't wait for this yr.
childofsolitude Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 A few things to watch out for from a former Target employee. Here's a brief list of things that aren't necessarily Christmasy but are marked down anyway: paper towel plastic wrap ziploc/glad storage containers candles, room sprays, decospheres, etc. soap candy (you'll be surprised what you can find mixed in with the regular candy.. the Christmas candy has snowflakes on the bags) perfume/cologne sets (last year, i found a ton of perfume/cologne sets mixed in with the regular perfumes/colognes) toys (there's always christmas toys that will be found in the toy department) clothing boxed gifts (these will be in red boxes) side cap things (side caps are displays located in the actual aisle... sometimes they forget to move them to the clearance section) Be sure to scan anything that interests you because you may be surprised at what you find.
mollannie Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Thank you former Target employee for the additional items that could be on sale!!!!!!
elena_398 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I always stock up on birthday presents for the year (parties my daughter will be invited too). She averages 4-5 a year so it helps getting 50% off. I always buy the girl giftsets and makeup purses
mom2monkiesx3 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 NOPE, bought to much "Christmas sales" at Amazon I am shopped out for awhile~

elena_398 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 What time does target open up the day after christmas? I usually only go to Walmart, but I may hit Target first then Walmart.
BoulderChick Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Anybody know about Hallmark after Christmas? I really like the quality of their wrapping paper. Happy Holidays!
sistergldnhair66 Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I am going out to do Target for the "must haves" and the paper towels and ziplocs and stuff like that. I actually have to get wrapping paper after Christmas for next year. I didn't have to buy any for the past 3 years and finally my supply is dwindling down. I will hold out for 75% on Saturday for that. There is usually a TON of wrapping paper left at Target anyway. I will then, probably hit Walmart and Kohls. If I am brave enough, I might go to the mall too, and look for some clothes with my gift cards I was holding since my birthday in November. Also have to get a few more gifts for our family get together next weekend. My neice loves Williams Sonoma so I'll go there and get some of the ornaments at 50% off.
my2kidsmom Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I like to wait until 75% off and pick from what is left....I'm cheap that way :)
lexyreyes72 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Most Hallmark stores go 50% off after Xmas but if you're going 1st thing in the AM be ready to rumble! The mob is a bit on the crazy side for the ornaments. There's one near me that does only 40% but they are the exception.
naturegirl Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I will hit the mall for some office wear. hoping to have some good online deals too. i still have a few things on my list
zoemariesmamma Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 i was at target today for some things and i made my list of must haves for wed!
pogiporkchop Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I can't wait - DH will be going overseas to visit his family in a couple of weeks so I need to stock up on chocolate (for our nephews) at the very least!
bugsette Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 yes, going to hit Walmart for the gift sets and Hickory Farm... then the 27th off the Bath & Body works
leefamily23 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 This is the first year in a long time I have to work the day after--- so I'm not sure I'll be shopping at all that day. Though we did Christmas w/ my family yesterday and ds already has $150.00 in gift cards and 2 more families to go (my husband's and his own dad's family) so I'm sure he'll be itching to go out when I get home from work to shop.
w1df10wr Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Anybody know about Hallmark after Christmas? I really like the quality of their wrapping paper.Happy Holidays! Walgreen's sells Hallmark wrapping paper. They had some rolls buy 1 get 1 half off today.
lindabacker Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Love the day after Christmas sales and this year we are just doing Santa on Christmas and doing family christmas when my hubby gets home end of January from his 6 month deployment so I am gonna get some excellent deals this year. My family isnt even coming to celebrate Christmas until Feb so I am saving big time hitting the after Christmas sales
Lyricsmama Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 I wish, I have NO MONEY LEFT for shopping after all the shopping I did on Amazon for xmas gifts.
