  1. I'm wondering the same thing about the Canon camera package
  2. Hey Alexac!!! Howdy Neighbor. I am in Greenwood Lake, and work in Wayne, and boy was I happy about the Riverdale store opening up. Now I can make a secret run on the way to work. I also do the Monroe, NY store by Walmart, and go to the one on 46 in Fairfield. I've gotten some great deals at the Fairfield Target. I was planning on stopping at the one in Riverdale this morning on the way to work...
  3. I was at Target in Monroe, NY when they opened. I got a few power strips and extension cords for the office. I also got a few packs of Bountry Paper towels and napkins. 4 packs of Dixie plates w/ the snowflake on them for home. I got about 10 boxes of glad trash bags, 30 ct. for 2.24. And also a bunch of gladware containers. I got 4 boxes of Diamond cutlery sets, service for 8 for 1.24. We don't do our holiday get together w/ my brother until next weekened, so it was nice to stock up on the paper goods. I did buy a remote control holder box set for 5.00, forgot to buy some booklights, got the 3pack keychains w/ the light in it. Was eyeing the Christmas tree bag w/ wheels. Want to hold out for 75% off, but I really want it, so I'm thinking of running today to get that. I am definately holding out for wrapping paper and bags, for 75% off because past history shows hat there are always a ton of paper left until the end. Is it right that 75% is Saturday? Can anyone confirm that this is right? I'm hoping so, cause I'm planning on being there when they open. I'm also holding out for the nice car cleaning sets. I bought a few of these last year at 75%, and they still have quite a few yesterday. I'll check on them when I stop in for the tree bag.
  4. I am going out to do Target for the "must haves" and the paper towels and ziplocs and stuff like that. I actually have to get wrapping paper after Christmas for next year. I didn't have to buy any for the past 3 years and finally my supply is dwindling down. I will hold out for 75% on Saturday for that. There is usually a TON of wrapping paper left at Target anyway. I will then, probably hit Walmart and Kohls. If I am brave enough, I might go to the mall too, and look for some clothes with my gift cards I was holding since my birthday in November. Also have to get a few more gifts for our family get together next weekend. My neice loves Williams Sonoma so I'll go there and get some of the ornaments at 50% off.
  5. This has happened to me more times than I care to remember. I used to hate that part.
  6. As my kids are older, 22, 19 and 16, it is equal amount of money and they understand this. I began using this method for the past couple of years. When they were younger it was definately equal amount of gifts. For example, this year DD is getting a camera lens she wants. It's 700.00 dollars, and the camera backpack, was another 2. She also got a new verizon phone, the NV one. and DS who is 22 is getting a Jet Blue GC for about 500 dollars, and also some spending money when he books the trip. Those are their big gifts. Thing is that DS who is 19, is getting much smaller gifts, clothes and stuff. So I told the others, theirs cost WAY more so expect DS #2 to have alot of gifts.
  7. My DH and I own our own ambulance service, but we had a very bad year and it doesn't look like there will be bonuses this year. I've given one every year since we've had the company. There are about 5 people who I will manage to swing some type of bonus because they go above and beyond. They'll surely be a revolt when they all discover no bonuses this year. On the other hand, we are having a Christmas luncheon on Wednesday..and paid day off on Christmas and time and a half plus pay for the day for those that are working "on call" on Christmas. On call, might mean they get calls, or just sit and do nothing.
  8. When the kids were younger their stockings BULGED. I remember the year of the Beanie Baby craze and I bought so many for their stockings that I had it overflowing onto the floor. Now as they are older (22, 19, 16), it is getting harder and harder to fill them. Funny, until DH married me, he NEVER had a stocking. I was appalled, as my mother always did them. So that being said, I usually put in: Lots of Lottery scratch off tickets. I start buying a few each week for the five of us, and by christmas I have a TON. Keychains Candy some car gadgets (now that they are all driving) such as air freshners, tire gage, stuff like that. cologne pens last year I bought the boys a gas card. Also bought them each, food cards for like 10.00 each for Mc'd's, bk, taco bell so they can grab food on the run. Harder to fill, and getting more expensive!
  9. I use these in my bathroom and my DD's friend always says it's the best smelling bathroom he's ever been in!
  10. It does say on the site that it will take from 8-18 weeks for subscriptions to start.
  11. Went to my Target in Harriman NY last night. Woolrich finally went 50% so I grabbed that chenille blanket I'd been eyeing. I know it will disappear even though they had a ton of stuff there. Lots of sheets/Shabby Chic/Woolrich/Issaaic whatever his name is...on 50%. I also found Nick and Noral Traveling Gnome Jammies for 6.24. I'd been waiting for these. Got some lint roller refills for 2.64 and a box of QSmart Bars Cranberry Almond. These are discontinued. Also the flatware here was 50% off. Got two sets of service for 4, since mine has to be replaced every other year, (All the forks disappear) so I wait for this sale always to replace. Each set Hamptons..14.98
  12. was the ad in Todays paper? I'll stop on my way to work to buy the paper if it was.
  13. Last year was my first day after Christmas shopping with my best friend who was here from FLorida. I had a BLAST! I believe Target is open at 7:00 (will be checking that this week) and I think Treasure Island is open at 8. I did manage to get ALOT. I got at Target all my paper and tags, and whatever I "really" wanted at 50% off. I did manage to get service for 12 christmas dishes and wine glasses for under 50 bucks. I am going to shoot for Outdoor decorations this year at 50 off. Most of the stuff I will go back for 75 off and see what I can get. Always wait for the paper to go 75, there is SOOO much of it, that you'll be sure to find it at 75. But I like Treasure Island and I got alot of Hallmark ornaments at 50 off the day after. I'd love to get that star for the tree.
