Uberfemme Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Any idea yet what time Target will open this year? Thanks!
Scanner420 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 They always open @ 7am on BF. Most stores open @ 5am. Me and the missus usually make Target the stop after TRU and BB!!
f1rstclass Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I'm not a Target employee, but our local Target opens at 6:00 a.m. EST
Ericksonr Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 My local Target opened at 6 Am last year. I went to WM before heading over there last year.
elena_398 Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Last year my target opened at 6am. That was the first time as they usually opened at 7am. It was nice. Out of Walmart by 5:20am and in line at Target by 5:40am (right by each other). Everyone skips the Target I go to as they run for some reason to the mall one
robertmorr1999 Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I do work for a Target here in Washington state and I asked the manager and they said we'll be opening at 4am this year.
jamlei Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Wow, 4am? I live in WA State. Is it close to the LV/Kelso area?
mom2thegirls Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Wow, my teenager won't be happy about this! I wonder which shift she'll get stuck on?
RaineeDay1 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Target is bery near BB here. If they have a great sale on toys I will be there on my way home from BB. BUT I MUST be home by 9am so I have to shop FAST FAST FAST.. GRRRRR
kimmie0712 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 6 am here in tennesseewas going to post the same thing! :)
izzi25 Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Robertmorr1999, do you know if the Wenatchee store is opening at 4 also? Thanks in advance!
brynnfromtheblock Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 ours opened early too.. used to be KB and Walmart opened at 5am, Target, Kmart and the like at 6am, then Brandsmart etc at 7 and you could hit one, and then get in line for the next... now everyones opening early and it made it tough last year to decide where to go first!!
Ducky79 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 I have been working for Target for 8 years and we always open at 6 am. I get to be there at 5:45 in the morning :)
childofsolitude Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 I worked at Target last year during Black Friday. I believe I was scheduled to come in at 4 and we opened the doors at 5.
Kalel Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Hi! Just one question about waiting in line. Is like Best Buy or Walmart? I mean, in a calm way o crazy way?
childofsolitude Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Hi! Just one question about waiting in line. Is like Best Buy or Walmart? I mean, in a calm way o crazy way?I know that last year my store had a huge line by the time I got there at 4. People were running, going crazy, and it was nonstop until around 2 pm when it died down a little. If you plan on doing your BF shopping at Target, I suggest getting there early because there are always a couple of people who start camping out the night before and the line builds and builds overnight.

BigDealer Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Well I have worked for Target for 10 years and its always been 6am.
6digmans Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 I was wondering if there is any word about the Hana Montana doll 3 packs. Do you think or KNOW if there will be a good supply of those sets ??
keri Posted November 13, 2007 Posted November 13, 2007 Does anyone know how to get the black friday deals listed in an Excel spreadsheet? I recvd a copy like that last year in my mailbox and I was looking for that option on this website. Thanks so much! Keri
AndreaInNC Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Thanks a lot, Does Targer manage tickets for doorbusters?Target doesn't do doorbusters. They have a 2 day sale - everything in their flyer is on sale Friday and Saturday.
JJohn Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Any idea how many Olevia 37" LCD TV's each store will have in stock? I shop at a Super Target.
luv2talk28 Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Our Target used to open at 7am, but a few years ago, changed it to 6am. I'm sure eventually they'll change it to 5am to compete with Walmart.
retailslave Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 I work at Target® and have informed the regional warehouses to try to send as few 2-day ad merchandise to the stores as possible. This will also generate more rainchecks thus pissing off morfe and more "GUESTS!!" :) :) On a serious note here...Do not go to a store on saturday and expect to get your "item you want" because you saw it in the ad and think it will be in stock. OH, and come on saturday night.....we will have plenty of "your" 2-day ad merchandise that you are looking for. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA RS
boonboo Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Have a question for any Target employee who may know.... Do you receive shipments everyday or just certain days of the week? And are you familar with the online availability information? I am looking for a specific item that has not been available online and when I checked local stores yesterday it said out of stock for each location. This morning I checked to see if it were available yet & it was not available online but one location stated limited availability & when I called the location it said they didn't have any. Thanks
riven3d Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 they get shipments daily, during the christmas season they get 2 sometimes 3 a day.
laurenlou Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I work for Target. # of trucks depends on the size of the store. a Super Target might get 2 trucks a night, but a small Target may only get 4 trucks a week. There are no specifiic schedules for when we get certain merchandise, and we can't see whats on a truck until right before we unload it. Even then, we can't (shouldn't) let guests know whats on the truck before it hits the shelves. I remember last year we had 20 or 30 calls in the middle of the night (even though our phone message says we're closed) by people asking about wiis', elmos, PS3's etc. Its really hard to get merchandise on the shelves when we keep having to stop and answer the phone at 3am. Oh yeah, and unfortunately, Target and Target.com are practicly 2 separate entities and we don't get information on online availability. We do have access to Target.com at the registry kiosks at the front of the store, and Guest Service Team Members will be happy to help you look stuff up online. The 'availability' lookup option online is only an estimate and doesn't update immediately. Keep calling your store and eventually they'll get it in. You could also call Guest Relations w/ the DPCI (found online) and they can help you find it.
riven3d Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I take it you have never unloaded the trucks then, because what you say is wrong, We have 5 targets around where I live not one of them are Super Targets. and ALL of them are getting 2 trucks a DAY and that is 7 days a week. one of them gets 3 and sometimes 4 trucks daily, their stock crew runs 24 hours a day. so they have 3 shifts working 8 hours rotations.
