About retailslave

  1. I work at Target® and have informed the regional warehouses to try to send as few 2-day ad merchandise to the stores as possible. This will also generate more rainchecks thus pissing off morfe and more "GUESTS!!" :) :) On a serious note here...Do not go to a store on saturday and expect to get your "item you want" because you saw it in the ad and think it will be in stock. OH, and come on saturday night.....we will have plenty of "your" 2-day ad merchandise that you are looking for. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA RS
  2. And it is NOT JUST Target® (out of stocks)!! You might go to a different Target® in the country and they might have 50-100 of the item you want.:):) The W*M down the street will have 1 or 2.:):) Another thing to keep in mind when going to Target® and that is if something has dropped in price it is known as a "Temporary Price Cut." NOW, not all stores will have these price cuts at the same time:( (same as clearance items). A temporary price cut is just that, TEMPORARY. Look on the tag on the bottom right and this will be the effective date of the "price cut". CLEARANCE items......on back "end caps" of some isles, are not the same at every store. IF there are 5 or so stores in your area not all will have a clearance item 'on clearance' at the same time (BUT is is possible they might). If you find aclearance item and want to know if there is 1 or 2 more do not ask an employee, all clearance items are taken out of stock, priced, and put on back end caps. Watch out for the words 'imited Quantity' and 'For a limited time/time only'. 99.99% of the time you will not be able to get a raincheck. AND look to see if it says 'No Rainchecks for this item" in the ad. Please read the ad (no matter where you shop). RS

    Layaway?

Isn't it a shame someone was telling the Truth, The Very Truth. and Nothing But The Truth? :):) Wal*Mart does not have "standards"! (The kind Targt® has) RS I have read that stores that do layaway actually loose money. It is NOT a money maker. Having said that, now you know WHY Target® does not even think of doing layaway.:):)
  4. They will NOT!! BUT...check just in case. All stores around my area DO NOT match any competitors prices. Sale or otherwise. RS
  5. Well it depends. If TARGET® has a price $.99 higher are you going to Wal*Mart? To me, TARGET® has cheaper prices than Circuit City and Best Buy (where I live), BUT our TARGET® is the smallest store in our city, and does not have the selection. Now, I am sure if you go to a Target GREATLAND® or Super TARGET® your selection will be a lot more. Our Wal*Mart close to me is a dirty place and for 99¢ I will go to TARGET®. Cleaner store, nicer employees, just an overall better experience. Electronics..wait in line friday AM. Fooseball tables (or equivalent)...wait in line. JUST get in line (am), wait and you should get most of what you came for. If you wait until 10am FORGET IT!! (BUT it is all according to what you want too)
