  1. As far as groceries go, Target is right inline with Wal Mart on most common items of the same brand. But on store brand items (Archer Farms) the prices are higher, but they are usually all natural or organic items. Also, the produce is higher at Target, but again most of it is organically grown. So the higher priced items are usually of higher quality.
  2. Calm down. What I said was an example. Hence my use of the word "might". Some stores have a lot of trucks, some don't. I've been in both kinds of stores. My point was that there is no specific delivery schedule for Target as a whole. No need to get excited or offensive, just offering my knowledge to the poster above who asked a question about replenishment.
  3. I think this is silly. Retailers spend so much money on BF ads and trying to keep them secret. Somehow they get leaked, and they can go to whatever means they feel necessary to protect their sales. Of course, as a consumer I love coming to this site everyday and plotting my BF strategy. But as a person in the retail industry I can't believe every retailer doesn't pull their ads from BF sites. It won't affect my shopping at all. I'll go to the store with the best deals that are navigable (Not Best buy, as they are insane around here!).
  4. I work for Target and we have a great new tool to use this year. Each store can print out a list of every item in the 2 day ad and whether we can raincheck it or not. This will eliminate all of the confusion for our Team Members. Also, stores are being encouraged this year to offer substitutions as well as rainchecks. For example, if we sell out of a 2 slot toaster that is on ad for 50% off, we'll sell you the 3 slot one for 50% instead or give you a raincheck for the original one if you don't want the substitution. Don't hesitate to ask your store for a substitution if they run out of the item you want.
  5. The items and sweepstakes are for after Black Friday.
  6. I work for Target. # of trucks depends on the size of the store. a Super Target might get 2 trucks a night, but a small Target may only get 4 trucks a week. There are no specifiic schedules for when we get certain merchandise, and we can't see whats on a truck until right before we unload it. Even then, we can't (shouldn't) let guests know whats on the truck before it hits the shelves. I remember last year we had 20 or 30 calls in the middle of the night (even though our phone message says we're closed) by people asking about wiis', elmos, PS3's etc. Its really hard to get merchandise on the shelves when we keep having to stop and answer the phone at 3am. Oh yeah, and unfortunately, Target and Target.com are practicly 2 separate entities and we don't get information on online availability. We do have access to Target.com at the registry kiosks at the front of the store, and Guest Service Team Members will be happy to help you look stuff up online. The 'availability' lookup option online is only an estimate and doesn't update immediately. Keep calling your store and eventually they'll get it in. You could also call Guest Relations w/ the DPCI (found online) and they can help you find it.
  7. Very strict, I work for Target. The computer won't even allow a price adjustment if it isn't within 14 days...
  8. You should be able to. The price adjustment is for any sale on the item purchased, so a decreased price or an incentive.
