davephillyj Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 For those of you needing cheap birth control or needing infertility treatments, they are only $4.00 for the following: Clomid- infertility Sprintec- Contraceptive Tri-Sprintec 28- Contraceptive Other new drugs added as well, but these really stuck out, since insurance never pays for any. (I use the natural method, but for those who use contras, this is a great deal)
Suzq Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 For those of you needing cheap birth control or needing infertility treatments, they are only $4.00 for the following: Clomid- infertility Sprintec- Contraceptive Tri-Sprintec 28- Contraceptive These are $9.00 not $4.00, but are still a great deal. Many pharmacies are price matching Wal-Mart's $4 program. "Not available in CA, CO, HI, MN, PA, TN, WI, WY due to state laws." Can't post a link, but if you google walmart $4 prescription you can find the list in pdf.
smjrm Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks! I'll remember that next month when it's time for my refill. Mine is onr of the three you listed, and even if it's $9 (not $4) it's still cheaper than what I've been paying.
Stowasser Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 I am going to check it out, its one thing that insurance generally doesn't pay for??? But they will pay for mens viagra, hmmm, but I guess its a big money maker for them (pharm. company's).
nat77 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 yeah i wish i could have mine covered its $30 per month for Loestrin24
love a deal Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 WOW!!! That is a great deal. Several years ago I was on Clomid and it cost me a boat load!!!
davephillyj Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Yeah, I thought some of ya'll may be interested in it. Especially if you want to think about fertility, but it's to expensive. Just doing my part!
jazzy442 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Thanks so much for letting us know. I will have to tell my Dr I can try the clomid again now. Can`t afford to keep using it when darn insurance won`t cover it.
nick_jenni_jocelyn Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 i use to take clomid and it was expensive. like $60 at a time! glad to see they are cheaper now.
AndreaInNC Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 If it's on the Walmart list, Target will probably be selling it for $4.00 as well and then check KMart who does 3 months for $15.00.
freesia39 Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 grr to it not being valid in CA. oh well luckily my insurance covers mine for only 10 dollars a month.
letsbeon Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 But they will pay for mens viagra, hmmm, but I guess its a big money maker for them (pharm. company's). That's because it's men running the insurance companies and they don't want to pay for the "little blue pill" out of pocket. And these would be the same men that want to change women's health care such as mastectomy to outpatient surgery....
disneynutangie Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Glad to see generic clomid is only $9.00. Normally it is around $30.00 without insurance for the ones I took. I might be using them again in the near future. Thanks for the information.
alimfp Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Wow, great price on Clomid. They're about $5-$10 a pill on average (and you take five per cycle). letsbeon - But figure this one out.. most insurance co's will pay for a tubal ligation ($2500 on average), yet most won't pay for a vasectomy ($800).
Mommy2Four Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 If it's on the Walmart list, Target will probably be selling it for $4.00 as well and then check KMart who does 3 months for $15.00.Really! I didn't know this. TY
AndreaInNC Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Really! I didn't know this. TYYep - plus Target will put the $10 Gift Card offer in the flyer every so often and they will also take CVS & other competitor gift card coupons. I love to get paid to get my $4.00 scripts at Target!
letsbeon Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 letsbeon - But figure this one out.. most insurance co's will pay for a tubal ligation ($2500 on average), yet most won't pay for a vasectomy ($800). Not really hard to figure out...once again, they have no problem performing this on women, because, heaven forbid, a "man be less than a man" because of a vasectomy.
krypto Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 Since the cost of Clomid costs as arm-and-leggish up here in Canada as it presumably does down in the U.S., I'm wondering.....does Wal-Mart accept Canadian prescriptions?
jazzy442 Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 when my doc had me on clomid i was up to 15 pills a cycle and it cost me upwards of $100 and no insurance. and it didn`t work at all. couldn`t afford to keep taking it month after month. now i can start taking it again. yippee.
AngeliaCharles Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 If this is real than that's great! Fertlity pills aren't cheap however if there really $4.00 at wal-mart than that is fantastic!:)
davephillyj Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 Well, I posted that back in 2007 not sure if they still are or not, you may want to call and check before getting to excited!
emschmitz Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Any of you that have taken Clomid in the past. How long did it take you to get pregnant, and did you have a single birth?
