mbus Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 We just got back from our Target. Christmas stuff was 50% off, some toys were 30%. Our Target is not that large and many toys were cleaned out before Christmas, so we didn't get much.
LindseyNoel01 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Target in Fort Wayne, IN off Maysville Rd. has 50% off christmas items plus more!
LindseyNoel01 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 This target has TONS of stuff. As my fiancee and I were shopping in about 7 aisles of tons of stuff, they were bring out more. They had large flat carts full of stuff. Hardly any room to keep bringing stuff out. Got a iMini speakers for my iPod for 9 bucks. Also they had these kits for Shutterfly to make photo calendars, mugs, scrapbooks, etc on clearance from 13 to 20 dollars. Tons of XBOX 360 and PS2 games. 2 almost 42 in wide screen LCD tv for $799.99. Don't know the original price - Clint (finance) thinks it was like $1300 orignally. Bed in a Bag - Queen (22), King (32), etc. - More grown up types of bedding Needless to say, there is a lot of stuff. This is my first time in this target. We are visiting his side of the family for X-mas. I am from the Indianapolis, IN area. I would love to know what the target sales/clearance items are for Plainfield, Greenwood, etc. in Indiana.
onecutemoocow Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I thought the gift sets would be 50% off but they were not Was not impressed with target today. Maybe in a few days.
savvybuys Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I thought the gift sets would be 50% off but they were not Was not impressed with target today. Maybe in a few days.Me too... Maybe in a few days when it all goes 75% off. Kind of a disappointing trip....I did snag a couple of of scotch tape packs...They were marked down to $1.05 and I had a $1 of coupon for each...Paid .10 for 10 rolls of tape...Each pack had 5 rolls of scotch tape.
llist Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Our target was crazy today!! Not much xmas stuff left at all... wanted to wait on the 6 outlet outdoor timer for my xmas lights but not many left so ended up paying 9.00 today... got 2 colored light nets for my bushes next year for 4.00 each.... I'll go to the one near work later this week and see if they have anything left...
DLM Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Christmas 50% off today. Got the lighted sea lion I promised my DD I would get for the yard. Candy and boxed gifts were clearanced as well. Got mini MP3 speakers, purse umbrella and book lights for $2.50 each. Stil not much else in our stores on clearance since they remodeled.
elena_398 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 The only things I got at Target today was: 2 book lights $2.50 each for the kids 1 bag christmas marshmellows .49 4 bags of Reese Cup minatures ($1.39, but used the .50 printable coupon from Target.com) Paid .89 Electronic jump-rope (in the handles) that tells you how many jumps you did, workout timer, etc. Regularly $10 got it for $5 (my son wanted this) 6 12 packs of Mt. Dew.... On sale for $3 each- Used $1 off printable coupon and got each 12 pack for only $2 each! (my husband drinks mt. dew like water). Cheapest I've seen it since last summer. Other than that, still a bit high. Perfume/cologne only 30% off. I'll wait. No one was touching them.
lovetoshopCA Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I visited 4 stores today, and the clearance in toys is HIGHLY variable. Some stores have clearly not done their markdowns yet, so they don't have much by way of good prices. I noticed several items that were Target Exclusives have suddenly been stocked heavily in toys. That includes several Lego sets as well as others. So, be sure to check back even if it didn't look liek much yet. I stocked up on paper towel, napkins & glad zipper bags. I also got a few things of dish soap (we don't have a dishwasher). I was just finishing off the ones from last year, so it is good timing. Too bad they didn't seem to have Christmas trash bags this year. I bought so many last year, though, that I still have some unopened. My mom laughed during her last visit and noted that I would soon be in fashion again with my trash bags. :)
afrey66 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I bought the outdoor decorations I had been looking at all season. I'm good with paying half price because it seems by the time the stores go to 75% off, there is nothing left. My front yard is going to look awesome next year. :)
KC-Traderbear Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I think that sometimes when there is a holiday thrown into the week, the markdown team can be off by a day or two. I didn't get to Target today, but I'm going tomorrow and hoping that the toy markdowns will be done Thursday this week instead of Wednesday (because of the Christmas holiday). I bet that some stores won't even get to the markdowns until Friday. But, toys really can vary (in my opinion) and maybe some stores won't even go to 50% and either go next week or go straight to 75% mid January.

I saw a markdown team member working last sunday in one of my stores! I was shocked. Last year a number of people reported 30% all the way up to the big 75% day. Crazy.
lalam Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Dollar spot was 50% at my store today. I stocked up on Cars items for my son's bday party gift bags.

aidansmommy Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I saw Brother and Shark sewing machines at 50% off today, also some sewing scissors marked at 50% off. Big boxes of Pampers Feel and Learns and Easy Ups (72 count) were 12.58 each. Lots of 30% markdowns in kitchen aisles and toys.
dd50 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 The dollar spot by mine was 50% off and they were bringing out boxes and boxes of the Christmas stuff that they didn't put out before Christmas. Most of the ornaments was wiped out as I got there about 11:00, went to another a few miles away and they had some Christmas stuff left. I bought some ornaments and of course more totes to store everything in.
LindseyNoel01 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Went back to target this evening in fort wayne, IN off of Maysville Rd (this is a new area to me) - they had marked down more Pictures frames marked down to $3.50. Great for family photos for parents, your wedding picture(s) to display, for grandparents, or just to have on a mantle or something. I am getting married and both of our parents want a nice frame with a wedding photo in it. Novelty picture frames (photo wheels, cyclinder/pencil holder photo thing, ferris wheel photo thing) all clearanced - I think it was like $4.??.
LindseyNoel01 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Question for everyone! I called today to see if Target would price adjust on the Christmas clearance and they said no. So I am wondering...Can I return the items I bought on clearance, then say I want to purchanse them and get the current price when it goes to 75% off. Please help!
Stowasser Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Question for everyone! I called today to see if Target would price adjust on the Christmas clearance and they said no. So I am wondering...Can I return the items I bought on clearance, then say I want to purchanse them and get the current price when it goes to 75% off. Please help! With any holiday clearance you can return but they will only give you back what the price is at the time of return, so if you bought at 50% and its stil 50% than you will get your money back, if you bought at 50% and its now 75% than you will only get the 75% off price back. You can return and hope the items make it back onto the shelf to rebuy at 75%. Its happen but not very often where you can immediately rebuy at the cheaper price, most times though you have to wait for it to be restocked which is usually later in the day or next day. Now with general clearance, you can return and get your full purchase price back no matter how low it goes and than rebuy if it makes it to the shelves again. I generally buy the items if I see them on the shelves at the bigger clearance price and than return the other one and get my money back.

So I am wondering...Can I return the items I bought on clearance, then say I want to purchanse them and get the current price when it goes to 75% off. Please help!I doubt they will let you re-purchase them right away. You would probably have to wait till they put them back on the shelf and take our chances that you would get them.

Stowasser Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 what if you return it 90 days after you buy it as that is target's policy... the christmas items are long gone and maybe they dont even have the SKU's anymore... how much will they give back to you?I am not sure but I have seen here on the boards where the cashiers are typing something into the registers and its getting the last price listed on the item? not sure if that would come up with the Christmas items but if its obviously Christmas, they are probably going to give you only 10% back (90% clearance). Just a note, it specifically indicates Holiday/seasonal items in their return policy. They instituted this about 4-5 years ago, give or take since so many people were returning items bought at 50% and buying again at 75% or 90% to take advantage of the better sale. Target Stores Return Policy We will issue a full refund for most items returned within 90 days in new condition, with the original receipt, packaging and accessories. A form of personal identification may be required. Also, please note: Music, movies, video games, software and collectibles must be returned unopened. Camcorders, digital cameras, portable DVD players and portable electronics are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Holiday and Seasonal merchandise on clearance at the time of the return will be refunded at the current clearance price. Any purchase made by check may be refunded as a merchandise voucher. Refund value for each item returned will be reduced to reflect value of free gift or discount. Other restrictions may apply. All other returns or exchanges - including those without a receipt - will be offered manufacturers' warranty and repair assistance at 1-800-303-0308.
snausages Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 What about if I got a holiday items (Christmas tree, ornaments) at regular price and now it has dropped down to 50-75% off clearance? Will I be able to get a price adjustment for the lower price within the 14-day price adjustment policy? If anyone can shed some light on their own experience that'd be great! Thank you!

Can you or anyone else confirm if other Target stores also have sewing machines off at 50%? I am near the New York or New Jersey area. Also if anyone has specific model #s or SKUs that'd be great! Thanks
snausages Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Whoever is at the Target store, would someone be so kind to check on this for me? Does the Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix 2-Disc Edition come in a slipcover over the plastic case or only in the hard plastic dvd case? Thanks so much!

sistergldnhair66 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I was at Target in Monroe, NY when they opened. I got a few power strips and extension cords for the office. I also got a few packs of Bountry Paper towels and napkins. 4 packs of Dixie plates w/ the snowflake on them for home. I got about 10 boxes of glad trash bags, 30 ct. for 2.24. And also a bunch of gladware containers. I got 4 boxes of Diamond cutlery sets, service for 8 for 1.24. We don't do our holiday get together w/ my brother until next weekened, so it was nice to stock up on the paper goods. I did buy a remote control holder box set for 5.00, forgot to buy some booklights, got the 3pack keychains w/ the light in it. Was eyeing the Christmas tree bag w/ wheels. Want to hold out for 75% off, but I really want it, so I'm thinking of running today to get that. I am definately holding out for wrapping paper and bags, for 75% off because past history shows hat there are always a ton of paper left until the end. Is it right that 75% is Saturday? Can anyone confirm that this is right? I'm hoping so, cause I'm planning on being there when they open. I'm also holding out for the nice car cleaning sets. I bought a few of these last year at 75%, and they still have quite a few yesterday. I'll check on them when I stop in for the tree bag.
chefpatty Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Does anyone know what day the wrap goes to 90% off?

Just and FYI, last year the Christmas Tree bags did not clear out with regular Christmas stuff. It went MUCH longer along with the other Christmas specific storage stuff. Not the big tubs, but the ones with dividers for bulbs and wrapping paper and stuff. Those were all end of January or First of February. I kept watching the bags and finally stashed one to get it. I am also holding out to the end for paper and ribbons. We only need a couple of additional rolls, but I am not paying any more than necessary!
