tdanette Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 What do you guys think of limits on BF items like the laptops, etc? The reason I ask is because it kinda stinks to need 2 of an item that is limited to 1 pp, etc. but then you don't want one person snatching the whole stock. So limits...Good idea or no?
elena_398 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 limits are good. Allows more people to get the deals.
dmmiller Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I agree.. Limits are a good idea. If someone wants more than one, then they can grab a buddy and stand in line together. There would be nothing more frustrating than standing in line with 5 people in front of you, and the 10th item is gone by the time its your turn....
RossMAN Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Limits are good. Otherwise people would line up at 12:00 Noon Thanksgiving day. When the doors open the first three people would buy all the door buster specials, bye bye laptops, desktops, TVs', Elmo, etc.
Rebirth Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Limits are good. That way each person gets what they want. Some people are just greedy. OM had free items, their policy was one per household.
Mp4 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I think limits should be more strict, as in one big item per person. Last year at BestBuy every1 in the front of the line got 1 of everything. Thats what i plan to do this year but it would make lines shorter and everything alot more fair if they didn't allow that.
Bestbuy7 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Its a great idea. If you wanted something really really badly on bf and find out the guy infront of you just bought 20 of them .. Someone is going to be upset. right??
love2beurwifey Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Its a great idea because if they didnt put a limit on something then everyone else would be out of the deals so if a person needs 2 of something they should take 2 people with them
tmkuroda Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Limits are good except at BB where they limit you to only ONE doorbuster item per person. At CC they allowed you to have one of each doorbuster not one door buster item. Who wants to stand in line for only one door buster? Tina
Mp4 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Your BB actually limited to ONE doorbuster last year? They better not do that this year.
Reisch Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Personally I think limits are necessary due to the despicable actions of others. Unlike others I shop on BF to get good deals for my family.

offkilter06 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I would say 2-3 different doorbusters/person.
Trish1298 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I say keep the limits. However I think 1 doorbuster per household is crazy.
glitterstarr Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I also agree with limits. That way someone else can also get enjoyment and savings at the same time.
firtbird Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Must have limits. Look at the number of people. Need to give others a chance.
CrayZMama80 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Our BB didn't limit people last year. I think limits are good to a certain extent. But not one total doorbuster per household. What if someone needed a pc or something for a family member and a tv for another. I think one of each ticketed item would be fair.
stationchief Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Think they're just tryin' to keep one single person from picking up all 20 laptops the store has and selling 'em on eBay. Plus, that makes it more possible for people further down in line to have a shot at a doorbuster.
89MustangGX Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Yes - I believe limits are great - have to have them. One per person please. BB's limits, however, are despicable. This is the first I've heard of that type of limit - I try not to set foot in that store - but it's just another example of them "firing their bad customers." Sure, we all know doorbusters are to get customers in the door, but that's no longer good enough, now people who live together don't count as seperate customers? Adam
jellybean051901 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Limits are good because there are people that are just buying to resell the item and then the people who want for for a gift can't get it
shanni Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I have a love/hate relationship with limits, I love the fact no one can just buy them all. I hate the fact when I want 2 I can only have 1:tongue1:
zoemariesmamma Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I do agree with limits, but by person not houshold and not for each item not one doorbuster each:yuck:
Mursilis Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Limits are only good if they get enforced. One year Staples had a super-cheap digital camera that I wanted for a gift. A clerk was giving them out behind a counter and I was behind an elderly fellow who got the second-to-last one. I thought sweet, I'll get the last one, but then the guy starts gesturing that he wanted another one, and the clerk gave it to him, despite the ad clearly saying 1 per person! I was not amused, as I was left empty-handed!
he8765 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I believe that the hot BF items should be limit 1 per customer.
melissanlar Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Limits keep the first few people in line from buying everything and then selling it for double or triple
