tyler99199 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Well I can now scratch C.C. off my list of stores to go to on B.F. My wife went in on Wed. to get me 5 DVD's and 4 video games for my son for X-Mas. They had none of them in stock. She found an employee ti ask about them. They said " first come first serve". She asked if they could check another store if tehy had them " no I dont have time right now". By now she is boiling mad and she asked can she get a rain check or are they getting them in before the sale is over. They said "no we dont do rainchecks and they dont know what is going to be on the truck". She says "this is fricken lousy customer service". Yes she said fricken not the other word. They then told her " you must not be a good mother if you talk like that in front of your child" , my 3 yr old was with her. That did for her she threw the flier at the employee and walked out. She then called me and told me so I called and talked to a manager. He said to " he cant blame his employee, your wife threw the flier at him" " she could have been a little nicer" WHAT???? Needless to say I will not be there on B.F. I spoke to Wal-Mart and they said they will match the sales prices from the C.C. ad. And next next year Best Buy opens up right down the street from C.C. Well thanx for listening. And know all the mothers would agree if some sales associate says something about your parenting I am sure that would tick you off highly. Or am I wrong?
santaclaus Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 that would most definately make me mad. As far as I am concerned, the associate deserved to have the flier thrown at him. You don't tell someone that they are a terrible mother. That is just asking for it. With that kind of attitude from those employess, they will have a definate problem when BB opens up. Did you write to Planet Feedback about what happedned? I do have to add that I have always been treated very well when I went to CC. They are very nice and helpful at the store we go to.
sns128 Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 You know sometimes I quesition others parenting, when they let their kids run rampant through the toy department I work in (and I don't mean the normal kids will be kids rampant, that I can handle) but I would never ever say it out loud to a customer. I would have thrown the flyer at him too!!
misshayley Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 I have to agree that CC has terrible customer service. We went there last year to get a DVD that they had advertised on sale (I can't even remember what it was now) and they didn't have any and were very rude to us when we asked if they were getting anymore, of if they would do a raincheck. I don't understand how they stay in business with such poor customer service.
hpowers Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 what is wrong with the word fricken? If your saying it with the same meaning, it still means the same. Ask your preacher if your still in doubt.
artesian Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 CC customer service has always sucked. If it weren't for the dumb cashier lines at BB doubt I'd ever step in CC. I toggle between the 2 depnding on who has anoyed me less lately.
Stowasser Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 If your saying it with the same meaning, it still means the same. Ask your preacher if your still in doubt.Ok, I looked it up, won't put the defin. here because it is an euphemism for the F word, its just the slang term......so yes, I believe someone can take it as saying the word but that is not up to the employee to judge what you say in front of your child nor for BAD service, they could of simply stated they didn't know when the next shipment was coming in and she was more than welcome to call back and see if the games had come in. I don't understand when an employee on the floor says they are too busy to help the customer, isn't that their job? I know when I am in Target, if I have question, they stop what they are doing and help me and even walk me to the section that I am looking for, now that is customer service!
hpowers Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 Oh, I'm not denying that it was terrible service. That is very plain to see. But it's also not a good idea to act like that in front of your children, throwing the paper at them, come on. The person that got something thrown at them has a mother too so maybe we should ask them. I'm not perfect in front of my children either but someone asked what was wrong with fricken, that's the only part that I answered to.

My child is my life and I do my best to raise them the best I can. But I will only take so much before I snap back. And if I am a customer and you say that to me that is enough make me snap back.
whitesocks Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I shop at which ever has a better price (Best Buy, Circuit City). I just don't expect customer service. I have had bad service at both of them. Best Buy usually is better. Circuit City is usually a ghost town. I can't find someone to help me and when I do they just go to the same area I was at and glance and say they must not have it. The whole time I am thinking to myself why in the heck did I ask. It seems like everytime they have no idea. Anymore I just try to not expect customer service. Sad state of affairs I would say.
KellyGT Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 wow, that is horrible!! I can see an employee just being lazy but that guy sounds like a complete jerk!
egod2 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I'm always in trouble when i need to enter into a Circuit City Store. Last July 4th weekend i spent all my day trying to find some advertised items. I was in 4 stores in the San Diego area, just to find that the item i was looking was hide in all cc stores. If i ask to any employee they begin to make fun on me. I need to tell that it was very different in the sport arena store. The manager was very concerned and he even offers me another item with a similar price. I'm sorry for him, but CC customer service still is crap. I'm very sorry but my english still is too short. Thank you
Rebirth Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 If your saying it with the same meaning, it still means the same. Ask your preacher if your still in doubt. It's you're not your. But what I would done is told them I'm going to BB to PM this and I will always go to Best Buy where it's better than here (CC). No wonder you guy can't compete with Best Buy.
able Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 write to the corp. and include the names if you know them...at least the times. and defiantely report the manager saying he was mad cause she threw the paper..(his comment was prior to that) ..my asumption was it was a young adult who thinks they are above everyone else. . really the person was TRYING to upset your wife with that comment. intentionally it seems. at first reading this i dont understand why she was so mad in the beginging...i would assume the cc employee was either busy or having a bad day. so maybe not the most polite... but then when he turns to intentionally make a cut at her.. i wonder if he felt insulted and was lookign to defend himself by putting her down. some people should not deal with public.
able Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 ohh also ... i wouldnt down all of CC because one employee was rude,or because of 1 manager. thats all in 1 store, and maybe other employees are fine

What's the big deal with correcting people? I just seen the same thing in another thread. I try not to correct people since I make mistakes myself......just like forgetting the 's on guy.
krissy72 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I don't like shopping CC either. You walk in and look around. You see 2 or three employees standing around and you ask for help. None of them can take the time to help you. Makes me real mad, but I don't throw things. I just turn around and very obviously walk toward the door. It's not the only store in town.

J-Rod Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Yeah, the local CC is full of a bunch of idiots. You have to know what you want and where it is before you go in. You'll either get the super friendly guy who doesn't know a thing or the rest of the idiot customer service employees. Oh well... can't beat the occasional deal they have (when you're shopping local, at least).
Gurnee Al Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Several interesting side conversations going on here! Anyway, I don't go to CC unless they have something there that no one else has. If they have a readily available item for cheaper, I'll do a PM somewhere else. Their CS is nowhere close to BB's.
RossMAN Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Several interesting side conversations going on here! Yep, please try to remain civil and stay on topic. Thanks :)
i.feature Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 OK. My first post. I think you and your wife had a strong case until she threw the flyer. Soon as she did that she commited assult (granted being hit by paper isn't going to damage anyone), and that basically trumps the lazy and buligerant behaviour by the employee. Better course of action would have been to ask him his/her name and and say "todd, would you please get me your manager now." and when the manager comes explain what just went down. Now on with the BF fun.
jenilyn Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 My my, we almost entered "The Realm of No Return" there with the side convo's didnt we?
jenilyn Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 and BTW... My CC sucks wind too! It isnt just a few, Ive heard many complaints from ALL OVER Indiana!!
noehlp Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 and BTW...My CC sucks wind too! It isnt just a few, Ive heard many complaints from ALL OVER Indiana!!Aye Aye Aye! It must be close to my bedtime as I read "ALL OVER India!!!"
jamieva Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 CC has always had horrible customer service. I refuse to shop there anymore.
kranky Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 She says "this is fricken lousy customer service". Yes she said fricken not the other word.If I was the employee, once I had someone say that to me, I'm done with you. I'm sure she wasn't happy about how things were being handled, but that's over the line. I'm not going to tolerate F-bombs being dropped on me, euphemism or not.
