msyves Posted Thursday at 01:17 AM Posted Thursday at 01:17 AM May each of you have good health, prosperity and peace in this new year! Happy New Year! 1
rockpzazz Posted Thursday at 06:04 AM Posted Thursday at 06:04 AM I closed out 2024 finishing a project I wanted to get done by the end of the year, but little hopes of actually doing. Maybe that's the motivation to get more projects done in 2025. Most or 2024 seemed like I was procrastinating, but December I actually did a couple projects I didn't expect, so here's to a bright 2025 to everyone. No matter how meaningless the projects may seem, just knocking out a couple can get the ball rolling. 3
wittenlover Posted Thursday at 03:11 PM Posted Thursday at 03:11 PM Dang... Lost 10 already... That's a shame. December does tend to get away from us quickly, though. That said, Happy New Year, GD fam! Rang in the new year with a bunch of the church family at our annual NYE party (that I host). Good times were had by all and, if anyone left hungry, it was ABSOLUTELY their own fault. We had a huge spread of snacks and treats to enjoy and the largest group since pre-covid days. Yay! Christmas was enjoyed with my dad at a local Chinese buffet. He got a kick out of the fact that I bought him exactly what he said he wanted (an electric staple gun) - guess he wasn't sure his daughter was paying attention when he mentioned it was something he could really use. LOL Winter will be returning with a vengeance in the next week or so, so I am very glad my outdoor decorations come down even more quickly than they go up. That will all come down early next week. Tree will be down by end of next week, most likely. The winter/holiday painting that my grandmother made years ago will remain on my wall till spring when it'll get switched out for one of her other paintings more reflective of warmer weather. (It was one of her many hobbies and I am blessed to have several of her canvases to enjoy and remind me of her. ) Officially back to work today, though we are WFH today and tomorrow with a return to our normal hybrid work schedule next week. Allows us to ease back in a bit before we jump back in to the full regular routine and all of us are appreciating that. 2
lucyismycat Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Posted Thursday at 07:52 PM Happy 2025! Back to work after a couple of weeks off, and I am not feeling very productive yet. I got so much cleaning and decluttering done while I was off, and even took ownership of a new sewing table and got it set up and moved into. My crafty room has a LOT more space to walk around now and the new desk, while smaller, has a ton of storage for things that had previously been living in other areas. I sat down at lunch today and whipped up a couple of fleece hats to donate in memory of the sweet lady who was the last owner of the desk. I am looking forward to a lot of "making" in my newly organized room. I am NOT looking forward to all of the winter weather that's predicted for our area, especially since I have to travel this weekend. I think it's time to put the sandbags back in the truck in case I need them. But for now, the sun is almost shining, it's 40 degrees and I can watch the wildlife out and about from my work window. It's time to put out some more peanuts for the crows! 1

jstluvem Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM Posted yesterday at 01:25 PM So not ready for the weather predictions for our area. I wouldn't mind if the forecasters were wrong.
Kash Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Checking in for Jan. I have to say I love my tree this year so much I hate to take it down!
