Ankit Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 To be at the start of the line or close to it, what time do you have to be there? If my family decides we aren't going anywhere on that weekend, I might see if a friend or two want to go with me to grab some nice deals
outnumbered Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 It really depends on your area. Where I am, 3-4 am does it. In more populated areas, you might have to line up at midnight! It depends on what time the store opens and how many other people want to be there, really.
marianfaith Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Here if you can stand it 3AM. We go in groups. That way one person stand in line while the others get to stay in the car where the heat is. And then we alternate turns. Around time to go in we all stand in line together.
mugs Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 There are way too many factors to possibly tell. The area you live in, what store it is, what deals the store has, etc. Last year I got to Best Buy sometime around 4 I think... it was already lined up out of the parking lot and down the street. I drove to a Circuit City in a different town, there wasn't a single person lined up at 5 a.m. If you go, be prepared to lose any faith you have in human decency.
elena_398 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 I got to KB Toys every year and if Im not there in line by 1am then Im at least 10th or more in line. The store opens at 5am. Of course maybe earlier if they have good sales for toys as everyone will come there instead of TRU
Morphx2 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 I was there at 1am for BestBuy..#1 in line. The next people got there around 2:30/3am i believe
SynthDude2001 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 When I got to Best Buy last year just after midnight, there were probably 15 people in line already (although I was meeting friends who were saving a spot for me luckily). I live in a big city though (San Antonio, though I go to school in College Station), so I imagine other places wouldn't be so crazy. Even from store to store it varies...the Circuit City last year had very little line compared to BB. But anyways, we're probably aiming for 10pm or sooner this year. :)
