I've been dissapointed with rebate based sales for quite a while now, just not as great as they used to be IMO. Last year wasn't that great, don't even remember if I went myself lol

I wouldn't say it's the same thing personally, the deals are at sites you'll be buying from in any case so it's not like they're reccomending something because someone is paying them to do it. With the Google Adwords an advertiser just has to pay per click fees and they'll be listed, Gottadeal seems to be linking to what they'd be reccomending in any case so you aren't being mislead with ads.

We go every year, although last few years there have been more and more people doing it with not as great deals. A few years ago CompUSA was giving $100 computers or something, a complete steal! I think this year I might go in around 2AM or something depending on what they have
