I get there at around 7am Thursday morning. Last year we were the first in line because people were dumb waiting in their car at that time. So we have to get there earlier this year!! We are in Miami, FL too...dont know why they didnt want to wait outside. Oh well, their loss!! If I am not #1 I get mad! I do not want anything either, I sell it all on ebay. I make sure I get a profit of at LEAST 100 on each item. If someone wants to buy my ticket for 100, sure!! Saves me a lot of time. My girlfriend bought stuff for herself and family last year (she waited in line with me), but now she wants to do the same as me. Hahaha. Guess I rubbed off on her :) We have a good reason though for selling the items...we are planning a trip to NJ so she can meet my whole family (we just got engaged) and we have to use the train to travel...kind of expensive. But we hope BF will get us the funds needed!

Well, my girlfriend and I were #1 and #2 at a Best Buy in Miami, here are some of the stupid questions we were asked. Is it open today? What are you buying? Why are you standing in line? How many PS3's are there? How many Wii's are there? What is on sale? Can I see the flyer? I got here and have no idea what is on sale. (People over #100 coming to the front and asking) What are you getting to the whole line trying to see if they will get an item thats ticketed. And the stupidest one all day... IS THIS BEST BUY? Then I had the usual people driving by and cursing at you and stuff. Fun day!

Well, I woke up at 8am and could not get back to bed, so I quickly called my girlfriend and said wake up, lets go!! She was all mumbling about being tired and I said no, lets gooo!! So I quickly pack my warm stuff and get a folding chair, throw it in the car and off to get her. So we get there at 8:54am Thursday and all excited about being #1 and #2 (she claims she is #1, so I let her. haha). Then at 9:18am, someone else comes!!! Wow, they sure do come early. So he puts up a little tent and my girlfriend goes in it to get warm. Then people start trinkling in all day. Pretty boring when almost everyone speaks spanish and I don't, but thats why I got a girlfriend who can translate for me. haha. So then the front wall of BB is eventually full and people start curving down towards the back. Some girl decides to make a list of people's name and tries to act like she is the boss. Whatever, we give her our names and we basically know who the first 20 are since we have been there forever all day. We didn't care because we were #1 and #2. People come with more tents, someone sets up his laptop to watch movies for everyone; fun times. It is better to be in the front though, a lot less noise and more relaxing. We played some cards and nintendo DS at night to pass the time. Some guy drove buy in one of those red Lamborguini scooters and was showing it off to everyone for about 15 minutes. I didn't really care, but it was fun to watch since I was bored. Must of been a REAL REAL expensive car!!! Then its around 3am and BB employees come and everyone gets antsy and people walk over to the front to ask them questions. The "boss" and her friends try to organize the line and tell people to get in a tight line so no one gets in and talks to the BB employee who is stationed at the door to work the line and he says ok. BB was stupid and set the sprinklers on, and half the line on the side of the building got soaking wet and it was real funny. A cop was there organizing the line...turned out she was off-duty and wanted to shop too, so she used that to get near the front. haha. Another on-duty cop was there too who was helping. Anyone who walked to the front to talk to the employees, everyone was yelling in spanish "line line line". Then they started to hand out tickets; they worked the line real well and we all got what we wanted in line. And for some reason, they put all the carts OUTSIDE, and when they open, people have to run to get carts!! So being #1 and #2, when it opened, my girlfriend got the carts and I didn't move until she brought them to me. Then off we go!! VROOOM Apparently, the items are spread out and you have to pay for the ticketed items as you get it (WHICH IS REAL STUPID). I saw the 22 inch Westinghouse monitor, grabbed that and went to the cameras. I got a digital camera, and I had a ticket for a camcorder, but I had no idea the camcorder was there; so I didnt get that at the time. Then I meet with my girlfriend in the laptop line, which was real slow and only had 1 register for that. After 30 min in that line, we split up and went to the tv line and I went to the digital camera line. HUGE HUGE LINE and only 1-2 registers for each station. There was no way in hell I was going to wait over an hour for each of those items at that time. So I told her I am taking her home then going back. She wanted to wait with me, but I couldn't handle the store anymore. So I took her home and went back. I went straight to the head general store manager and told him I was the first one in line (showed him my tickets with #1 on each item) and said that I feel sick and dizzy and just plain out tired and could not wait in both lines for the items because it would take at least 2 hours. He said to talk to someone else who would help me. So I talked to him; he got my 2 items and out the door in 10 minutes!!! YEAH!! So all in all it was a good time there. It was real organized due to the people in line and I had a good time. Next year they should not have you pay when you get the ticketed item. They should just have the ticketed items all in 1 place and a lot of registers there. They should also serve some donuts or coffee. I already sold both of my laptops for 100 profit each after I got home too

W. Kendall. If I get there is I am not 5th in line, I am going to another BB. W. Kendall one is real easy for me since I can practically walk there. Yeah, got a few to pick from. Lot o driving for me, ooh, that reminds me to pay sunpass!

My friend is working at BB and I stopped there just now on the way home from work asking him which way the line is going to form because I wanted to be one of the first. So he talked to I guess one of the high managers who worked 5 BF's before and said that 3 people were already camped out, but they got sent home. I also saw the number for tickets per item given on a big dry erase board. Too bad I couldn't take a quick shot. haha. The numbers were all REAL low, so you better be one of the first few! Im going to go at 1pm, check out the line and either stay there or go back at 2pm after the amazon.com war.

Oh, I will take off the mask. It is real hard to breathe in it anyway. I won't have it on for most of the time.

I did wear my spidey outfit last year at work, movie theatre, and had a lot of people coming up to me asking for a picture with me. Lots of cute girls too; haha. Prepare to see SPIDERMAN at Best Buy in Miami; Kendall store to be exact (as long as my girlfriend doesn't mind)

I don't know how entertaining I would be. I mean I am basically just sitting/standing in the line. Unless I charge 3 dollars to take a picture with me. haha

Hell, I would be spidey to get on TV! I dressed up as Spiderman for halloween and ran around my college campus, it was a blast! Just hope my girlfriend won't be embarrased because I talked her into coming with me.

Well, i am thinking of having fun in the line this year and wearing my Spiderman halloween costume. It would be real funny just to wear it on black friday and I plan on being the first one in line then people will know that I was the first one in line...cause I am spiderman! I doubt I will wear the mask though, because it is hard to see in it.

I work at the movie theatre and we get stupid customers all the time that I have to fully explain to them that they are being stupid. We have a small satellite concession stand that when we close, we put ropes going all across it so no one can come in. People STILL ask "are you open?" when it is almost perfectly clean and the lights are off. And some people try to get THROUGH the ropes and come up to us asking for popcorn! I have to say "No, we are not open and that is why the ropes are there, so people do not come in asking for things. If we were open, you would be able to walk in without taking off or going under the ropes" I don't really care if it sounds mean or anything, the customers are stupid and they deserve to look stupid when I explain it to them. And I am a senior supervisor there and they can take my comment however they want, I don't care.

I go alone. I get there at 12-1am and just chill there. Have my headphones rocking, dance around, kick some stones...walk around until someone else arrives. Then I just walk around close to my spot. Then more people come and I sit there 1st one in line. Headphones + food + soda for caffeine = stay awake. It is a good time to just think about stuff too while you are all alone out there. If anything, one year my dad met with me 15 min before the store opened and we went in together. They didn't believe it was my dad and thought it was a line cutter :-P

If hiding something small... Bring a ziplock plastic bag with you. Find the bathroom Close the door. Hopefully their bathroom is the kind with a tank on the top of it (what most people have in their house). Put item in ziplock bag. Open the top of the tank. Put object in tank. Close the top Success!!

Post your fun experience here! So I went to CompUSA at 1am, 34 degrees out...brrr. FIRST IN LINE Next person came at like 2am and he had people at Best Buy too and kept in chat with them so they each got each other stuff. Then the next person came at 3am and it got more busy from then till 6am when it opened. They handed out flyers for the 10 cheap laptops too, but I wasnt getting one, but thats ok So then the doors went open, I go in, grab a cart and get my butt to the videocard section for the GeForce 6800. Of course it was behind locked glass..was anyone there to open it? NO! There was a line of about 8 people waiting for the videocard, a line of 10 at the harddrives since that was locked, and about 15 people at the memory since that was locked too. I sent this dude out to get someone and he finally got someone after *15* minutes! CompUSA employees are dumb, someone should of been there already. I was scared I was going to lose out on all my deals and i was #1! So finally the guy comes, I tell him I want the GeForce 6800 and he says ok, it will be at the front. I was like damn, he better not screw me over. So then I get my computer case since no one was getting them, then I got the 60 gig HD for 30 bucks, then I got the sound card that was free, then I went to the memory, but the kind I wanted wasnt there!! I had the flyer too and another kid was looking for it too. Im like screw that, so I went to the manager and told him it wasnt there and the guy handing out the memory didnt see it. So he checked the back and got me 2 of them like I wanted YAY. Then I got the digital camera for my sister and waited in the 30 min checkout line, and the guy saw me and gave me my videocard Then I went across the street to Office Depot for the wireless mouse/keyboard combo, but it was sold out. Grrr BUT I got all I wanted at CompUSA, so all in all...2 THUMBS UP!

Yeah, the vanilla 6800 thats on sale only has 12 pipes open. There is a way to softmod it (change it) to open ALL the pipes. Makes it a LOT faster for a fraction of the price of the more expensive models. If you buy it, PM me and I can help ya

Get the 6800, softmod it to unlock the 4 extra pipes, so it has 16, then you can overclock it too. Pow pow! That is my plan at least O:-)
