I've been dissapointed with rebate based sales for quite a while now, just not as great as they used to be IMO. Last year wasn't that great, don't even remember if I went myself lol

I wouldn't say it's the same thing personally, the deals are at sites you'll be buying from in any case so it's not like they're reccomending something because someone is paying them to do it. With the Google Adwords an advertiser just has to pay per click fees and they'll be listed, Gottadeal seems to be linking to what they'd be reccomending in any case so you aren't being mislead with ads.

We go every year, although last few years there have been more and more people doing it with not as great deals. A few years ago CompUSA was giving $100 computers or something, a complete steal! I think this year I might go in around 2AM or something depending on what they have

From what I've seen, Bose stuff is pretty much at a fixed price. In your situation though, I would look into other brands because it seems to be pretty accepted among the audiophiles that Bose isn't all that great, especially for the money. How much are you looking to spend? Maybe I can find an alternative.

I think you'd be best off bringing your notebook. Onboard the ship I don't think you need to worry about it being stolen. Which ship are you going to be on?

From what I know they have pretty fixed pricing so it's unlikely to get a break on them. What you can probably do is get the salesman to throw in extended warranties for free, give you discounts on other products in the same purchase, etc. Also, what purpose will these speakers have and what price range are you looking to spend? We have lots of Bose products around my house, but many people don't seem to like them compared to others available for the same price, maybe we can help you look for alternatives?
