bestdj15 Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 I see the mario bundle is the original switch model without the improved battery life.
freesia39 Posted November 7, 2019 Posted November 7, 2019 Dear Nintendo:I want a GameBoy Classic. Can that come out next year? 2
Brad Posted November 7, 2019 Author Posted November 7, 2019 Dear Nintendo: I want a GameBoy Classic. Can that come out next year? Not quite the same but this is coming out: https://www.analogue.co/pocket/ The systems they make for the NES, SNES and Genesis are very, very good so this should be nice as well.
mamat2011 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I am trying to decide on which switch to buy. Kohls target or Wal-Mart help
hokie7373 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 I am trying to decide on which switch to buy. Kohls target or Wal-Mart help The deals are all the same across retailers. The lite version is $199 the regular version $299 1
riven3d Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 The deals are all the same across retailers. The lite version is $199 the regular version $299 not exactly, the Kohls one is a bundle and is like $320 or something like that
hokie7373 Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) not exactly, the Kohls one is a bundle and is like $320 or something like that Kohls includes a case and a controller charging dock, and you get $90 kohls cash. However, it does not appear to include the digital download for Mario kart 8 so there is a trade off. Walmart and BB have the Mario kart download without those 2 side items Edited November 14, 2019 by hokie7373
daftande Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 (edited) The deals are all the same across retailers. The lite version is $199 the regular version $299Also last year Gamestop did a $299 bundle with mario kart digital and a $50GC which was the very cheapest aside from when dailysteals on FB sold em for $179.99, no games. (Thats the one we jumped on) EDIT: Now that we've seen the Gamestop ad turns out they lowered the GC with switch to only $25 this year, crazy to raise the price imo! jesusluvu Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 All the prices are going to be ablout the same. I would see who offers the best deal with a game or gift card and jump on it. Nintendo does not drop there prices 1
hokie7373 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Looks like Sam's has the same deal as Kohl's but Kohls you get $90 Kohls cash. My daughter has no interest in Mario kart 8 so we're getting hers at Kohls
Kanyon71 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Not for nothing but Mario Cart is an awesome game. but $90 is $90 lol 2
riven3d Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Looks like Sam's has the same deal as Kohl's but Kohls you get $90 Kohls cash. My daughter has no interest in Mario kart 8 so we're getting hers at Kohls actually no they are not the same Kohls deal has a carrying case on controller charging dock for $319.99 Sams deal has a carrying case, pro controller and car charger for $334.98 to each their own on how they see which is a better deal, but for me I have no care for Kohl's Cash, Sam's Club has the way better deal as the controller runs anywhere from $30-$60 by itself car charger another $20 good luck finding either of those items at kohl's
hokie7373 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Don't need a car charger, and she only needs 1 controller
jesusluvu Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Not for nothing but Mario Cart is an awesome game. but $90 is $90 lolYes!!!!! That is a lot of coins......need my money. 1
flyjar Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Yes!!!!! That is a lot of coins......need my money. Yeah, but the prices are jacked up when you can use the Kohl's cash, so are you really saving that much?
bluebear Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 (edited) Yeah, but the prices are jacked up when you can use the Kohl's cash, so are you really saving that much?I usually end up with well over $100 in Kohl's cash. I purposely hold off on buying things that coupons cannot be used on. So I'll use some on that, discount on usually non-discounted items. Converse are always on sale for a few days after Thanksgiving, so I'll use my KC on the sale price, free Converse. So yeah, I think I do save money with Kohls Cash. hokie7373 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I saw last night that it appears the Gamestop offer will be a $50 giftcard with a Switch purchase, and it will include Mario Kart 8

hokie7373 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Ah son of a gun another site is doing shenanigans.
Mommyof2 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Military Exchange (for those able to shop there) has the switch for $299 with a free Mario Kart download
jon1nba Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 One important thing to also look at is what version that the store is offering. I believe that the Mario kart version is not the latest model
bribri25 Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Is it possible to tell which Switch deals are the new model and which ones are the old model? I have to assume they are ALL the old models, but I'd like to try to confirm before deciding which store to go to. Any thoughts?

hokie7373 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 I bought the Gamestop one, can use the $25 towards games for the kids
AuntieJul Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 For controllers for the Switch, is there a difference in performance or compatibility with off-brand controllers (like Insignia) versus Nintendo official controllers? In other words, is it safe to save myself a few bucks?
bribri25 Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Gamestop advertised "Nintendo Switch Micro SD cards". Is that any different than a "SanDisk Micro SD Card" with a Nintendo Switch logo stamped on it?
riven3d Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Gamestop advertised "Nintendo Switch Micro SD cards". Is that any different than a "SanDisk Micro SD Card" with a Nintendo Switch logo stamped on it? not really any difference, its just formatted for the Switch, some other cards Nintendo says would have to be formatted, others might work just fine but a 128GB microSD for $14.99 is a deal
