bockchow Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 they are also going to let you use those 2 rentals for video games, not sure if this has gone into effect yet though.
RossMAN Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Is anyone else disappointed in Blockbuster's limited video game selection? Particularly GameCube.
mugs Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Is anyone else disappointed in Blockbuster's limited video game selection? Particularly GameCube.I'm disappointed in Blockbuster's website telling me that several stores in my area have West Wing Season 2 on DVD, when in fact none of them have it. I gotta reactivate my Netflix account.
linh Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 blockbuster was too slow for me. I guess netflix spoiled me w/ their distribution center down the road :)
Ankit Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 How has the free rentals from blockbuster been so far? I plan on signing up... sometime, heh.
bockchow Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 service is fine it just depends on how close they are to you
RossMAN Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 service is fine it just depends on how close they are to youThat's good to hear as we have 4 BB's within a few miles :)
BobbyDouglas Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 If you honestly rent movies a lot, Blockbuster is a lot better if you signup for their instore deal. $17.95 for the first month, then $24.95 for each additional month. Up to 3 movies out at a time, but you can watch 3, goto blockbuster, grab 3 more, and repeat. Blockbuster is about 2 minutes from my house, for me, this would be a HOT deal.
Blue Kitty Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Blockbuster They are also offering Shrek DVD when you sign up. I think you have to pay for the first month not really sure. Didn't really have time to read all the fine print.
bockchow Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 ya if you sign up for the dvd promotion you don't get the free rwo weeks but thats still a better deal.
venerdinero Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I was told that those prices for Blockbuster were only for 2 movies at a time, not 3 - that was supposed to cost even more!! Hollywood Video is cheaper - I believe it's $14.99/month for 2videos($9.99/month 90day trial) BUT!! Hollywood is ONLY for movies (sorry no games) and movies must be back within 5 days. I was NOT told about the free DVD or the 2 free rentals!
RossMAN Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 venerdinero, Blockbuster is making a $700 million (?) bid to takeover Hollywood Video, that would be interesting.

Tried Netflix & wife & kids wanted to rent movies "now", so we ended up doing online & B&M both, and gat nailed with a late fee seemed like every month...
Lorizh Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 Instore it's $30 per month for three at a time, 2 at a time is $25 bucks a month and no games. I did the Blockbuster online and have been very happy with it. They started out slow but now they are sending them like gangbusters and you get two free rentals instore a month and that includes games, well worth it for me. Rossman, I agree on the game selection, VERY slim!
amitjanweja Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 i am satisfied too. i am also a member of netflix. that one is also good.
