Do you go with a theme for your Christmas Tree? If so, do you change themes every year?

Before children, I had burgundy, rose and white ornaments with glittery tulle, after children it was more eclectic LOL  I have seen all snowmen, or Star Wars, pretty cool

Our main tree Is a mix of ornaments collected over the years. I do have a 4ft tree that I put in my dining room that is themed. This year it is candy land. In years past the tree has been decorated in gingerbread men, dr suess, red apples and red and white striped bows, snowmen and leopard print which my husband was not at all fond of

lol.

Since I live in Florida, my tree is beach themed   :)

Aqua blue and clear/ white ornaments, white lights, silver ribbon, fake palm fronds and white starfish.

Wrapping paper matches and I usually get blue or silver themed papers.

Ever since each of our sons' 1st Christmases, we've bought them an ornament each Christmas season so our tree has always been a mish mash of different decorations. Now that they're older, I think I want to try just a single color or a combination of a couple different colors this year. Not sure what I'll end up with but look forward to trying something different.

We only had a color theme (red, white and silver) our first year with a dog. We didn’t know how Oreo (black lab mix) would be with the Christmas tree so we just did shatter proof bulbs the first year. Once we learned that he would leave the tree alone we went back to the ornaments that we had received from our parents each year growing up and ones we would pick up while on vacations together. We like the walk down memory lane as we decorate.
