Guess I will try it at midnight.

Always great when stores do promotions like this and give you the least amount of information possible.

Kind of like hunting. Go in blind and hope one crosses in front of you while you're paying attention. :)

The target site says this will be available approx. 9am CT.     Perfect.   I'll be right in the middle of giving flu shots with no chance of getting on a computer or phone.    I guess I won't be getting one....

Question - I looked this up yesterday, because I wasn't 100% clear on what was included. Nintendo's website says MSRP $59.99 (I realize that's "suggested" and supply and demand will dictate higher prices), and loaded with 30 games.  Target's is $79.99 with 21 games.  Are there different versions of this console?

**ETA - Nevermind.  I looked again and answered my own question.

I just left my local Walmart and they had 8 on the shelf ....ready to be sold! Might want to check your local Walmart today.....

Did you purchase one?

No, as I have already gotten my hands on the 5 I wanted. Not scalping, but for my son to play and one to keep in package as he collects all things Nintendo, one for a friend as a surprise gift for his wife for Christmas, and the other 3 as give aways in drawings for my schools for positive behaviors.

I don't want to be greedy for myself...but always willing to help others, I did text a couple people that are looking.....

Hope they do more of these REDcard-only releases for popular items in the future.

I do, too.  But I also hope they have their stuff available, too.

The first 3 minutes, it kept saying "not available anywhere near you". I figured it was sold out. For grins, I tried again about 15 after, and it let me add it to my cart, but then it said out of stock.  I was kind of on the fence about whether I wanted one or not anyway, so I guess my decision was made :).

I was able to get one after getting the error message. I kepted having to refresh and it finally let me add it to my cart and check out.  I just knew it wasn't going to still be in stock by the time I would be able to check out.

I forgot all about it until 11:30am (ET) and of course it was too late. Would have been nice to have, but no big deal.

Congrats to all who got it though! That's awesome!
