Incredibly disappointed last night as i went to Walmart, asked the DEPT MGR where to get in line to make an appointmentfor the IPHONE7 with $250 gift card.  She tells me to get inline in electronics and put my name on a list.

I go and I am so happy that I am the 2nd appointment on the list!!!  I am also told that activations would start at 9:00 p.m. and to come back then.

I go shop for a while, I come back, get in line, my turn comes and I tell him that I have an appt to activate an iphone7 and looks at me like I have 3 heads.  HE turns around and starts asking someone else who works that department often and he turns around non chalantly and informsme that there are no iphone7's and nor has he EVER seen any in the store.  So I start telling him about the AD in the paper and he rolls his eyes and tells me 'that is a nationally advertised flyer........we dont have them, nor have I ever seen any in this store..' then he just turns around and goes back to what he is doing.   I WAS LIVID.  Additionally, the department manager is the first one I asked about the activation, and told me to get in line!!!!  Are you telling me that you are the DEPT MGR and you don'tknow anything about your Department??????????

HOW do you advertise something and just *don't* supply them to the stores?  WAy to go Wal-mart.  It worked, you got me in there on black friday, but guess what???????  I am done with YOU and your false advertisement!  You can prey on other susceptible people fromnow on!!!!!

Got to Walmart last night around 5pm. Place was packed, as usual, I was sure there would be a huge hoopla over the Hatchimal but for the first year ever, cops were in the store at the front, keeping peace.

Got: wireless mouse x2, JVC headphones (for the kids) x2, playdoh set, HP wireless printer and an xbox points card (that'll teach me for bringing my daughter along LOL).

We came home after that because I really am done (hahaha). And my 5 year old is sick, thought we were going to have to take him to the ER.

Was able to get Madden 17 for Xbox 1 online at Walmart yesterday. Today spent 2 hours in line at local AAFES and picked up one of the $149 HP 15" laptops. AAFES has always been a great place to shop on BF. No fighting or pushing. Everyone is polite and even helpful.

Friday report: Walmart pretty well picked through of everything. I guess the PS4 is rhe better seller this year. Didn't see any but they had stacks of Xbox Ones. Movies were pretty much gone. Glad I grabbed Beauty and the Beast online Thursday. Grabbed two sets of the $33 dishes that my girlfriend saw last night to put on layaway. No line at layaway at all.

Best Buy: I'm here at noon and you would swear it was Thursday at 6pm. Line wraps all the way around the store. Just doing a return of Finding Dory.

Off to Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply next.

Arrived at Home Depot about 5:30 A.M. Was about 100 people from the door.  Bought keyless lock, Ryobi impact driver, hole saw, some sawsall blades, a Dremel, accessory kit for Dremel and a 12x12 pop up.  Would have gotten out sooner than 6:22 but all those people blocking the main asile for poinsettias create a gridlock every year.  They should move the distribution center to the back of the store, but I don't think those old ladies could make it that far.

Went to Staples next door got the Brother laser printer.  Now it is 6:30.

Over a few blocks to PetSmart.  Got 100 cans cat food, 2 buckets of Tidy Cat.

Drove past the Best Buy.  About 20 suckers waiting outside.  If you have a Fry's in your city, you would know why the line was so short.

Made it to Pep Boys across the street by 7:45. Only person in line.  If people would realize what a great deal this is there would be a line. Bought 5-5quart jugs of oil, oil filters and 2 gallons of anti-freeze.

Over at the Ace Hardware they had bird seed 20 pound bags buy 2 get 2 free.  What a deal!  80 pounds for $20.  Only about 10 people in here at 8:30

Back to Lowe's to get some Vice-Grips. Really empty here.

Now across town to Fry's Electronics.  Was there yesterday and waited a half hour for the 5 P.M. opening.  Today they have already been open an hour,  but I know they have lots of inventory.  Got a power supply, a couple more hard drives, ear buds, and some power strips.  About the same number of  people as yesterday.  Fast moving line to checkout.

Was able to get everything on my list and was home by 10 A.M.  I wonder what Fry's will have on sale tomorrow?

Thanks Brad for this website.  With the leaked ads, I can make my list up days in advance and plan my route.

Barely stepped in any stores this year - only Kohls really.  But not during the rush.

Let's see...

 - Amazon got me for a PS4 game ($20), a PS4 controller ($40), and 3 Wii U games ($30, $20, $10)

 - B&H got me for an Apple Watch Sport 38mm ($169)

 - Best Buy got me for 2 Sony Blu Ray players ($50 x2), 2 ACER 24" monitors ($80 x2)

 - Toys R Us got me for a couple games ($12.50 x2)

 - Target got me for a TV (the TCL 40" 1080P smart one for $200 since rtings.com said it was the best out there under $300)

 - Kohls...I just don't have the heart to add that one up right now...

This year was hard for us since my Aunt was killed in a horrific car accident this week. We flew in Monday night (to start our holiday week) and we were greeted with the news when we landed.  She was the one that was supposed to host Thanksgiving.

With that said, I have been completely off my game.

I did start early with my shopping with a lot of the early release, etc.

Best Buy Online: 2 pairs Bose earbuds (bought Nov 10th-thanks to the heads up here!)

I LOVED the 10 days of Target deals:

Target (in store): Our Generation RV and board game (Used the 30% off toy coupon, plus additional 5% with redcard)

Target online Sunday: Pebble smartwatch (Used 10% off tech code, plus additional 5% with redcard)

Target online Wed: Beats Wireless to be shipped to me AND 5 Sonic toothbrushes for store pick-up (This was a sweet deal because they were marked down, then there was an additional discount of $5/per brush.)

I did not do anything online or brick and mortar on Thursday.

Black Friday in store about noon:

Target: set of sharpies and a movie

Walmart: 2 sets of rubbermaid and dvd player for the car

I didn't have any real plan in either store and I just needed a distraction.  I was in and out in basically both store with no wait time to check out!

Okay, as promised I am back .... I went everywhere. Mall, walmart, khols, target, best buy, hh greggs, game stop, Cake Resturant ( I know but they have black friday sales ), rooms to go, toys r us, academy sports, kmart, kirklands, etc. Needless to say I over did it, but under spent. I still have money in my wallet and only used my card on a few transactions so I stayed on budget and still killed the day thanks to my Gottadeal family :

Walmart - PJ's, Slippers, clothing, Trampoline ( after going to 4 stores ), Philips 55 4k tv, multi DVD, XBOX One games, Picture frames, Comforter sets, board games etc

Target - Xbox One Battelfield, Xbox controller, Life Size Elsa Doll, New Bright Truck, Xbox games, DVD Movies, Lifesize Kurplunk, Marvel sets, crock pot, beats

Kmart - Clothing, Boardgames, bed sets,

Jcpenny - Clothing, cookware, Boots boots and more boots, coats,

Finishline and Ladys Footlocker - Shoes

Kohls - LG TV, Clothing, BOOTS

Game Stop - Xbox Kinect, game set

Macys - Clothes and Shoes

Home Depot - Tree and poinsettias

Cake Restaurant- WELL CAKE - GOOD TOO

academy - 2nd Amendment  :lmao:

Rooms to go - B1G1 free Giftcards

and some other stuff - I did do some shopping online as well for a few items listed above. The crowds was here and there but it seemed to be a lot of people just out and not really shpping. There was a good bit of stuff still there after the crowds and plenty of tvs as well. There was a few places that I did not get to and I am okay with it but will try and get online tonight and try to order a few more things.

I was surprised how crazy it got at Ulta Beauty this year. I showed up with my daughter at 4:30pm. One lady in line.   Target and Dicks in the same parking lot. No line at Dicks and only about 30 in line at Target.  We sit in the car till almost 5 pm and notice a lot of cars pulling in so we got out in line. We were  2nd and 3rd.  By the time 5:45 pm hit, there was literally over 100 ++  in line  (crazy as Ulta Beauty is a smaller store in the plaza).     Dicks finally had a line of about 50 (That may be pushing it too) and Target had about 100 - 150 or so.  Dicks opened their doors by 5:50pm.  Target soon after.  Ulta waited until 6pm on the dot.  Doors opened and literally it reminded me of one of the Youtube videos. People pushing shoving and just plain grabbing.  Thankfully, we had a game plan and knew what each of us wanted. After finally finding the last of our stuff we got in line.  Took 40 minutes to checkout. Only 3 cashiers. Some new arrivals couldn't get into store between the checkout line snaking all throughout the store to the front doors and people shopping.   Most if not all of the $10 sets sold out. In the first few minutes all the mens cologne sets gone and makeup brushes.   Just crazy  lol

I hope I'm not done shopping, but finally got an order placed on Walmart's site.  It took two days for my Saving Catchers card to load so I was worried I was SOL on deals, but I really just wanted the Roku Express Plus, and after a few tries of sellouts, I finally got one.  The rest I got wasn't advertised deals, but I also got a wireless keyboard/mouse for not much more than just the mouse was selling for.  I also got a couple household items, and Saints Row 4 National Treasure Edition for the 360 for 11 bucks.  I was happy but wish they had some of the cheap movies on their site.  Now I might see what's left on Amazon and snag a couple deals.  Tomorrow I might have to make a trip to Walmart and see if they have any leftovers.  Again no big deal if they don't but I would like to get a couple movies.

Got 3 Toshiba 49" TVs, 2 HP desktops, 4 HP laptops, Nest thermostat, 2 Escort radar detectors, firestick and chromecast, 4 Samsung Galaxy s7 Edges... (Best Buy upped their gift cards from $250 to $400 per phone), micro sd cards, mice, wireless keyboards, 27" computer monitor, washer, dryer, microwave, 3 wet/dry vacs, ladders, 8tb hard drive, clothes, electric blankets, shark vacuum, misc. kitchen appliances. Even at 5pm Friday many of the stores STILL had doorbusters available.

I have NEVER seen so few people out shopping. Is it really Black Friday if the crowds stay home??? At Best Buy, the most popular item everyone was on line for was the 49 inch Toshiba smart TV 4K with chromecast.for $`199. They had about 150 tickets for them, and even though that was the main item, they went through the entire line and still had about 50 or more tickets unclaimed. They then started at the front and offered additional tickets to anyone that wanted them, 1 more per customer from the front back...When they still had a few after making an unprecedented second round to give out the tickets, they just let the customers grab the rest when they got in. I then went to Walmart, and they had so many doorbusters left they were moving them closer together and putting them near the front of the store near the entrance. By the time I got there it was about 9pm and I got every doorbuster I wanted, mind you, I got all the electronics I needed at Best Buy, but they did still have some of the laptops, tvs, and tons of other doorbuster items. Then went to eat and got to Sears at about 11:45pm. Got the washer and dryer and then they closed so I didn't get any more there and went home. Went back to Sears at about 11am  and got all the other doorbusters I wanted. My wife went to JC Penny and Target, got all her items there. I went to Lowes and Home Depot... Again, got ALL my doorbusters, at about 1pm or 2pm. Spent a little more than I planned to, mainly because ALL the items I wanted were still available, something that has NEVER happened in the 23 years I have been doing Black Friday shopping. In all the years past, I would only get about 50% or 60% of the items I wanted at most, with the exception of Best Buy where I am always first and average about 95% of my items. I even broke the cardinal rule of not using a shopping cart on Black Friday to get through the crowds quicker... there were no crowds to get through! Not only were many of the other shoppers shocked at how empty the stores were, but even the workers were. In fact, at Best Buy, when they opened, they had about 1 employee per 3 customers! No lines any where at checkout either... Another first!

Sprry about the loss of your aunt. I know the feeling. 2 years ago my dad's funeral was the Tuesday before Black Friday. This was my first year really getting back into Black Friday. It is hard to do something I love so much after such a painful loss, and I can understand how it would be difficult after the loss of someone you love.

Well, I didn't wind up doing any actual Friday shopping. At about 9pm Thursday we decided we'd try JCPenney to see about the colorful knife set they had advertised. The mall store was packed and they had displays jamming every aisle - it was crazy even that long after they had opened. Quickly realized that this store does not carry household stuff - they have another store a few blocks away that does all the home goods. So we walked across the hallfor a quick look at Macys. They were pretty busy, but not too crazy (except the shoes area). But they were out of the base layer underwear that my son wants. So I wound up not buying at either place and we were there less than 30 minutes.

Left the mall and went to the Pennys home store. There were about 10 other people there. LOL. We got the knives we were after (oh, and found out about a rebate to boot!... even cheaper), picked up some of the 2.99 pillows, and decided to get the cast iron skillet set they had on sale as well. Took about ... 10 minutes.

That was that. We headed home. Just about everything else BF related that I was after I had already purchased online late Wednesday night when sales went live. I did get online when we got back from Penneys to see if I could find the doorbuster base layer things at Macys. Score for me - they had them in stock! Got those and a couple other clothing things for gifts.

Easy peasy.

had that happen to me 2 years ago with the moto x on verizon. They went around to every person in line and asked what they were inline for. When I got to the front they were like we've never carried that. Luckily the store manager was cool and she took my name and number and gave me her name. Eventually one of the times we talked she told me I could just order the phone from walmart mobile and come in the store and they would do the refund to the black friday price and give me the gift card. Sorry your store wasn't as accommodating.

lets see

Amazon: Various Blu-Ray/DVD, a CD for myself, PS4 game, $100 overall spent on several single transaction orders. very disappointed with them this year, in years past i got a majority of my shopping done here but this year, it took them forever to match prices of other online sales, they never matched anything from Walmart at all

Best Buy (online): several Blu-Ray/DVD combo, a couple $10 Nintendo Eshop cards, $100 overall spent on 3 different orders

Target: 1 Nintendo Wii U game, a couple DVD's, various Blu-Ray/DVD, $100 spent before GC use, $25 in GC used

Walmart, various PS4 games $15, one Wii U game at $35, various Blu-Rays, Rubbermaid set that was $7.60, electric skillet, Dog treats, crock-pot, adult coloring book, and a story book, total spent $200 before GC's, $70 in GC's used.

Game Stop: Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition for $9.99

Office Depot: 5 - 100 pack DVD-R, $14.99 each, i record lots of video so i hope this will do me for the next year at this year, 400 that i bought last year barely made it.

Staples: Amazon Echo Dot $39.99

Pet Smart, a few fish, dog treats, $20 spent

Five Below: various items dont remember it all, $40 spent

tip, if you have My Coke Rewards, you can get $10 Walmart or Target Gift Cards for under 700 points each, they add up, all my GC's used at Walmart were from coke rewards, $10 from Target was Coke Rewards, and i had already used $60 of Target GC's a couple weeks before from Coke Rewards so I had over $150 of GC's just from Coke Rewards redeems. We have 3 accounts, 1 for each person in my house and most of the points we enter are from caps that others give to us, the Points add up your only allowed to enter so many codes a week so more than one account helps.

also there is an app you can download on your phone that awards your just for visiting stores and/or scanning certain products, i only learned about it while standing in line at Target, but just using it for the past 2 days ive already earned my first GC by using it. you get 200 points for just going into Walmart, Target, Best Buy and other stores, other stores dont give points for just going but most will give you points if you scan products in the store, some even offer points if you BUY certain products, just by entering your receipt details. app is called shopkick
