We celebrate on Saturday, after the shopping is done. No anxiety about getting the deals then. I am usually quite pleased with the deals I got the 2 days before thanks to my preparation with the help of GottaDeal! Now where are the ads!?! Need ads now....losing my mind....

DH needs some long sleeve pocket T shirts but there is nothing we must have. Our 60 year old Toastmaster toaster works perfectly. The Tv in the br is almost new and the old one in the living room is too heavy to move!

Am I the only one who's stomach literally starts to turn when I log on here in anticipation of a new store posting???

I have a serious question to ask everyone. In the past few years, we've noticed that stores are opening earlier and earlier, most now on Thanksgiving evening instead of Friday morning, but my question is how likely are you going to take time away from your families to save what doesn't appear to be a decent amount of money anymore? I don't want a dragged out explanation, if possible, but I'm just curious if everyone is feeling like last year was a waste of time.
Thankfully this isn't an issue anymore where we used to have Thanksgiving dinner is no longer acceptable so instead we have Thanksgiving lunch and were out last year in time for Macy's opening. If we still went elsewhere for dinner though I'd have to make do with my online shopping and whatever I could get afterwards.
We even gained a shopper last year who was more than a little surprised when we didn't get back until around midnight.

I have several new people watching GD for the first time. I just hate that the ads are so disappointing this year. I have gotten a ton of items in the past from Walgreens. Looks like nothing worth walking in for this year.

I feel like I already won this year, due to my 70 inch 4k deal from Sam's Club. Here's to all those in need of some luck this season!

I'm guessing it's a simple SQL query with the COUNT.
Was thinking so also, some forum software packages have some canned reports so went with that

Dug up my GD shirt for the festivities! Can't wait!
For those curious: Kitty in my pic is current furbaby, Mew, curled up in a box far too small for her. Ha! "If I fits, I sleeps!"
NASCAR fan (particularly JGR pit crews - many friends there), diehard UM Wolverine fan, animal lover, car girl, cookie baker, singer, bargain hunter. Yep. That about covers it. lol

I seem to come down with a cold every year after black Friday
I think it's the stress and anxiety.
Same here. I think it's attributed to the lack of sleep, as well. Still totally worth it.

Hope everyone feels better.
On the other hand, I did get a lot done before that. I didn't do a lot of my normal stuff, like go to Walgreens, dollar general, etc, so that was kinda odd. But I'm pleased on what I was able to get.

We call it the Black Friday crash. All the months of hype & planning...then boom, done.

My wife has a cold, woke up yesterday morning not feeling well.
I was telling a friend of mine earlier today that I wish I had taken today off so I could just chill out and recover from all the REALLY long days lately lol.

Mee Too! But mine was on Thanksgiving... I mustered enough energy to make it to PetSmart on Friday morning then DH wanted to go to Target. After that all done for the rest of the weekend. Luckily I had done most of my shopping early TDay morning !

I normally blame that but I really didn't have any plan this year. I was too hectic traveling for music and fun:)

Time to do some database wizardry to get all the entries accounted for and the winners picked. Hope to have an announcement later this afternoon or tonight
