mcwalker Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) What area will you be shopping in this Black Friday (or Thanksgiving)? I replaced the link to the map below after the 17th respondent. I have created a Google Map, at the link below, where you can place a marker to show where you will be shopping this Black Friday. - After you click on the link, the map should open in a separate window.- Zoom close in to the area where you will be shopping. If its in a large metropolitan area, try to find the shopping area where you will start shopping.- Click on the "upside down teardrop" in the menu on the map to place a marker, then click on the center of the area where you plan to shop.- Enter your GottaDeal Forum name in the top box where it says "Point ##".- If you like, enter some additional information in the box below.- Your entry should save automatically when you click elsewhere or leave the page. Here is the link to the map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zUnZpeEjK4QE.kevV7NlX0Y9c Please don't delete or edit anyone else's points. Have fun. See if any other GottaDeal neighbors will be shopping near you. Edited November 5, 2014 by mcwalker 1

riven3d Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 link needs to be corrected it leads to outlook web app not to the map
starbeck96 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 ProbablyAuburn/Opelika, ALbut not sure yet I have about 5 different cities within 1 1/2 hours. They all have mostly the same stores, but a few different ones as well. What city will depend on what each store has
jesusluvu Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 SC, NC and GA if the budget will allow it. But definitely the Carolinas
AndreaInNC Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Apex, NC then moving on to Smithfield, NC for midnight madness at the Outlet mall
Kanyon71 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Ya I have the same issue the link goes to Outlook Web App not to the map, the map URL is in there but I'm not picking it out correctly
wittenlover Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Will be out of town for the first time in many a year and will be driving an hour+ from where I'll be to do my shopping in Saginaw, MI. Usually I'm running around Ann Arbor, MI area.
mcwalker Posted November 4, 2014 Author Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) I have replaced the link to the map in the original post above. Hopefully it will work for you now. (It may come up a bit differently for me since I am the owner, but I hope that it will work for others now.) I will know when I see others put their markers on the map. Here is the updated link to the map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zUnZpeEjK4QE.kevV7NlX0Y9c Edited November 4, 2014 by mcwalker
Tara3117 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Thanks for updating the map! It worked great for me!
Crazy Mama Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I plopped my point down at Best Buy in Franklin TN.
Kanyon71 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Added mine. Sterling Heights MI area for us most likely.
reallynow Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I'll be in Cherry Hill, NJ area...I haven't done BF there in years and there are so many new shopping centers I'm going to have to do some research to map out my plan.
Kristie A Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I certainly won't be shopping at Sears. Their 2014 BF ad is horrible. The layout starts on the first few pages for appliances. People are looking for stellar deals on electronics and clothing, not dishwashers. The entire layout is very bad.
Elmck Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 I could not get mine added but I will be in Chesapeake, VA
mcwalker Posted November 5, 2014 Author Posted November 5, 2014 Where are our rocky mountain and west coast shoppers? (and Alaska?) Make your mark on the map!
