I did the free one month. Then, when I went to cancel, they gave me three more months free... and said if I use it 3 times, I'll get a free year! So, needless to say, I'll be finding 3 things over the next three months so I'll have it for next xmas.

I've had this free since they did this last year around this time or a little earlier. I've bought 1 thing using it. I think it'd be a lot better if it were like amazon prime, where you can find a bunch of things that you can use it for, not just selected few items. I mainly looked at using it while using toy's r us website and just about everything that I would have ordered using this, it wasn't offered. There may be other sites that you can use this more that I haven't looked at, but it's not worth it for me.

I had a week left on my old promo free 1 yr subscription, cancelled it, then redid this one. I did actually use it with Toys R Us and several other companies but definitely would not pay for it

thats an offer thats for platinum american express card holders. Im sure we arent supposed to use it, but I did. I had the one month trial which I never used. When I cancelled it said I wouldnt qualify for any other free offers.

I think they did catch on. My free membership from last year was set to expire today. I got an email yesterday that they've extended it for a year. I order a lot online and I have used it once. I don't think I'd ever pay for it, but I'll take it if they keep giving it to me!

Yep, same here. I think I used it 2 or 3 times over the year, so not really worth it to pay for. But oh well, it'll be nice to have for those 2-3 times this year!

I got the free year sign up last year before Xmas. It would have expired before Xmas this year but they extended it to 12/31. They sent me a few emails asking for my credit card info to extend after that and I ignored them all figuring it would just expire. Today I got an email that 2013 is on them, 12 more months free. I'm pretty happy about that.

 

I also find that it would never be worth paying for (for me) but nice to have if I need it. I placed 2 orders this year at TRU and had them shipped to my mom's house (far away, family gifts). Both last month. Normally everything I want is restricted. I also only have a PO Box and a pay per use package service, so i have to pay $3 per package to pickup if i did use shoprunner to ship to myself. I really wish they would do like prime and give me the slower shipping free instead of just saying no PO boxes. Then I might use it more.

I wouldn't pay for it either. There are SEVERAL times I would have ordered things at TRU this year but none of the items I wanted were eligible for shoprunner. Yesterday when they put their Christmas clearance at 70%, I was going to order 4 rolls of wrapping paper. I think my total would have been $4.75 before taxes. They wanted $18 for shipping! If they would make the service more widely available on items, I would actually consider using it enough to buy it, but not as it stands right now.
