gingerlynn
My 16 year old and my 14 year old want to go to Wal-Mart with me this year and each get a laptop. They have never been before so I am a little concerned. I will be in the store but not in the line for laptop with them. Is there any rules or circumstances that they could not each get a laptop? tsjbenny
I don't think there is an age limit. As long as they have the money to pay for the item they should be okay.
freesia39
They just need to stick together and not let people cut in front of them, which they might, since adults might think "oh they're just kids."
starbeck96
I am taking my twin boys this year, they are 13. They are going to each stand in their own line. Thankfully we live in a small town and we know most that are there. I am sure that some of their friends will also be in line..lol. They are going to stand in line for the Xbox and PS3. cjqueen
My 14YO son waited in line last year for an Xbox, but we live in a small town. An older woman took him under her wing and watched out for him. It just might depend on how big your town is and how crazy it gets on BF.
hpowers
Our store was great about it too. If you get there early enough it seems we all stick together against the ones who stay in bed till 1/2 hour before and then want to cut the line. Main thing is to get there early. mtsuboy
We were told today at my store that items requiring a "voucher" were 1 per customer. If the customer is a baby, and the parents wants them to have a voucher, they get one. No questions asked. So if your family needs multiple tv's, laptops, etc... bring the kids and babies. Keep in mind, this is at the store I work at. Your store may have different rules.

Rockfordmom
Remember that they will probably have to be paid for separately.
gingerlynn
Letting them hold onto $200. plus scares me. Ive never gotten a big item before like the laptop, do they pay on they spot? or could I meet them and then give them the money to pay when Im done getting my things. I was going for smaller stuff like sheets n towels etc.. Was gonna go around 7pm. What time should they go? By the way thanks everyone for all the advice. cjqueen
Last year, I waited in TV line while my son waited in Xbox line. Then, we met up and went and paid for them up front at the register.
Nate Dogg
When he was 3 my son got a laptop after waiting in line with me all night. One person complained, but he still got it.
Rockfordmom
you can hold on to the money until they get to the register, you can even buy one of them yourself and get back in line again to pay for the second one, just they are probably not going to let you purchase 2 of them at the same time if there is a limit of

starbeck96
I hope that we can pay for it all at once because nearly everything I want is at the 10 PM Sale so my husband is going to be in one line, each of the boys in another, and I am going to be trying to get a few of the small things at 10 PM. jellybean051901
At my walmart they would not let the kids get an item if there was an adult there with them. They kept it one per family. If they are there by themselves they should be okay
chrisjuvers
I got a flat screen for a friend a few years ago. We both got tickets and I just handed her my ticket after I got it. She paid for both with no problems in the same transaction.
tokanm
Their money is just as good as anyone elses...why not? Good Luck to them, follow the buddy rule and hang on to the money in a safe and secure place
theboyzmom
I think this is one of those things where your store will vary...one of my favorite shopping methods to do is be near the registers at our store because they will literally pile up the 'extras' of items where you are only allowed one (if a customer shows up with 2, the cashier piles the extra and only sells the 1). However, I have seen preteens buying items...but noone younger...like I said, each store will vary...
starbeck96
I talked to our manager today and asked him how they were going to do the big ticket items. They are actually doing the ticket system this year. Thank goodness!! I told him that my boys were going to be in a line and I was going to be in a line and didn't feel comfortable giving them 200.00. He said that we will be allowed to meet in the front so that I can pay for it at once. My husband will also be with us. I am putting one of them in line to get the trampoline and one in line for the Xbox. The other one is going to stand in line for the camera. I am going to go get a few video games and stuff like that.

We decided not to get the Xbox anyway. We are getting the trampoline for my daughter instead and getting a new guitar for my son and a double bass pedal for my other son.
