Guest Deals4Me Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Just wondering, since obviously we shop for them too..and cant bring them to the line at 2 am!
outnumbered Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 When my dh is home, I let him wake up with the kids. I'm home pretty much an hour after they all wake up so it's not like he has to do anything hard. All grandparents are back in CA and it's not like I can hire a sitter to wake up and come over at 3 am, LOL. If I'm lucky I'll be able to arrange some sort of sleepover for the kids, but since everyone else's husband is deployed too, that is a lot of extra kids for one already-frazzled mom to handle first thing in the morning. So I have not entirely ruled out hitting the stores but I am counting on being an online shopper this year for most of what I want. If it turns out TRU has some incredible deals and I want to use my $5 off instore-only coupons...I don't know, I'm going to have to work something out somehow.
treasure60 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I don't have to worry about the kiddies,,2 sons are grown-up (so they think ) and dd is 16yo. But when my kids were younger their dad did and they went out to grandma's house to help her get the tree out and the decorations.
mjmcca Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 When i have been able to go out Hubby watched them and his cousin lives with us so she watches them too.
mommy2twingles Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 DH has to work so my grandparents watch the kids while my mom and I shop
lauralee Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Usually DH, sometimes a special sitter, sometimes his older sisters.
phins_jazy Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 dunno who's gonna watch the kiddos this year. DH has to work and the grandparents live 6 states away. Maybe I can bribe my friend into a sleepover. :)
t_mulkey Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Usually my DH. But I do have a back up sitter. Can't miss BF. lol
kryss Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 We have no idea as this will be our first BF with a lil one (she's almost 4 months now!!!) but as we will be with LOTS of family I'm sure SOMEONE will stay home with her (or...since she's so little, we CAN take her with us...LOL) Kriss
lesliepear Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Well, since 2002 we've taken Alan with us (now age 3). We got up around 5 though and weren't in line all night.
hhockman Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 We have no idea as this will be our first BF with a lil one (she's almost 4 months now!!!) but as we will be with LOTS of family I'm sure SOMEONE will stay home with her (or...since she's so little, we CAN take her with us...LOL) KrissI have one of those! He was 4 months about a week ago. I also have a 3.5 year old though. I've already asked my mom to watch them. It means I have to go alone, instead of with her, but DH is working, and I think she'd rather sleep in anyway.
biomajor Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 My husband doesn't shop at all except occasionally Best Buy or EB Games and then he doesn't really shop, but more or less goes in, picks up what he's already decided he must have, and then leaves the store. That's NOT shopping!! Anyway--he and the kids (13 and 16) are usually still asleep when I get back. Last year, my 13 year old went with me and we had fun. She is a shopper.
bayhaysay Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 My daughter (10) has decided she wants in on the fun this year so she will go with us. My son (4) will be going to work with my mom. The little girl (2) will stay home with my husbands mom.
shanni Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Our 15 year old watches our 9 year old. Makes it very nice, we can just leave and not have to deal with a babysitter!
Gporter34 Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 My oldest will be going this year. It's his first BF! But my daughters, 13 and 11, will be at home. Our WalMart is just down the street from my house and they all sleep until about 11 or 12 because I keep them up late the night before. lol
wbss26 Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I stay home with the kids and send my wife out with the list...hehe
mama2ella Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 dh wishes it was him b/c he isn't a fan of bf :) however I always drag him out and the gp's keep dd
caseyslilangel Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 DH of course. He's off this year as he started a new job and is off every friday= sunday and they just work 4 10 hour days but last year he had to work and I made him stay home until I got here and then go to work.LOL
jrsgirl8 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 My husband came with me one year, now he wants to come all the time, but this is my day with the girls!
alimfp Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 Hubby last year.. and probably again this year?!
shay Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 some friends of ours are going to watch our girls this year when we go shopping! This will be the first year I can go BF shopping with my husband (who LOVES to go). I'm so excited :) Shay BTW, this is my first post on here! Glad to be here
pumpkin255violet Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 My daughters first Xmas she went with me... In the baby backpack, however she is now 5 and too big to carry so she stays with her gm
toasty Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 My DH works, but he's been allowed to go in a little later on that day, for the past few years.. so he watches the kiddos :)
Keebelf Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I do and send Chris out to get everything. Since he has to work that day though I think he will have to wake up earlier than usual. sometimes it is a joy not being able to drive. lol.
JanaBanana Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 In the past its been grandparents, this year it may be DH or our oldest DD. I friend wanted to venture out with me this year, if not DH is gonna go. We make a day of it with lunch ect.
Kygal2003 Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 My in-laws keep our 3 kids! I drag my hubby out with me to shop on BF...he just don't understand why us women have to get up so early to get in line....lol. This is only his 2nd year shopping on BF!!!
